I was a CA student, in 2009 while I was attending the classes in Pune we have students in class who joined one of Big 4, I don't remember the name, as an Article Assistant, one such student was always sleeping in the class, and we used to make fun of him😢. Now I understood why he was ao tired and sleepy in the class after the latest incidents are unfolding.
I have no connection to CA, the Big 4, or the work culture at MNCs, but I still watched the entire 47:08 minute video because of how Aditya sir explains things. His speaking style and calming voice are truly captivating. The guest was knowledgeable, but it’s impossible to look away when Aditya is presenting!
When I was doing artcleship, there was this guy who joined Big4 post passing CA. He left after 1.5 years with a argument on his health, before leaving he exposed all of his manager and all related people and said if you will die these people wont have time to even think you were working for them. After 8 years the similar situation is talked the same way as that had the same point, but at that time he was targeted by everyone stating everyone does like this and people tried label him as he is not fit for CA profession. Even if he was junior to me, I considered him as he is perfect for the profession, but ICAI and audit firms make feel him and similar kind of guys as it is not enough.
thanks for hosting such open, candid discussions and sharing these details. one suggestion: for larger audience & reach, is it possible to add English subtitle or make podcast in English?

Honestly. People are at different level. I dont know who fed this hustle thing in thier head, and they are ready to work for 14 hours. People during interview only, even small companies ask to work for 13-14 hrs, saying thats normal in india. So please stop only focussing Big4, but focus on the entire corporate. Some give excuse saying the client is from us, uk. So why dont you work in their shift only? Or is the the employee is incompetent, which is a thing I have seen myself while being abroad, when people reach out to me to teach them. The question is how do they even get hired? WHy dont you all unite to raise your voice ?

Great podcast sir ❤ but then the question arises how can we detect roles and companies to apply ? where work culture will be healthy , where management will have empathy and will pressurize you to make you shine like diamond instead of breaking you .

There is a very simple solution to this problem. Double the staff. Pay half salary.
