Beautiful voice...always liked her music, even when my fave Linda Ronstadt covered some of Karla's songs. Also the late, great Kenny Edwards on bass is an added treat.
amazing performances by all--what wonderful tunes, they hold up like diamonds, and the stellar crew of fellow musicians is just rich with beautiful moments. Kudos to all.
It seems I always screw up too when trying to entertain, but she came through like a champ. I love Karla, as she's just out there as herself, never being pretentious.
I agree that her first album was a true classic, though I have to thank Linda Ronstadt's "Hasten Down the wind album" for promoting three of the outstanding songs. Karla certainly in the UK was never recognised for the talent she is. As a result, I find her albums hard to replace from vinyls to CDs owing to lack of distribution. Tk
There are those of us who listened to Hasten Down the Wind AFTER wearing out Karla Bonoff's debut....... Actually, I STILL don't own Hasten Down the Wind......Have multiple Karla LPs
Does anyone know the name of the song that started out with the line, "Like a bird she was wounded......" It was my favorite song back in the day, but can't for the life of me remember the name.
well Karla...you've not lost two ticket buyers. Love your music, no doubt of your talent. But when you allow your fans, to be subjected to political rhetoric at the expense of those audience members who have different political views, you have crossed the line. I bought tickets for entertainment, not to be insulted. No, my not coming to see you anymore will have a dent in your income...that's not my point here. I just won't put out the effort and money to be subjected your callous treatment.
syn707 Good points. Never saw Karla live, never heard her rant, so I guess I'll skip that now. She certainly doesn't look content. Love Karla's music, truly, but wouldn't mind seeing her driven from the stage like the arrogant Linda Ronstadt (driven from the Vegas stage, at least,-''bye, Linda!"), of whom I also have at least several albums from back in the day. Don't these stars from the '70s have paid servants they can lecture? Okay. So have conserts in Japan, Karla, as long as you are able. But you're lookin' pretty weary.
I don’t understand why these performers can’t get on stage and perform instead of preaching their liberal rants. We know most of them are liberals and I can live with that but as said above, I’m not going to a concert to hear liberal rants and be insulted. I can stay home and turn on CNN and get that for free.

Still loving this song, and still in trouble!
There is no one else like Karla. What a joy to listen to her music.
Love you Karla. Especially the opening ...........
N.A.
I'm a Japanese. I love this song. I feel dear when I hear this,' cause I used to listen to this tune when I was a senior high student.
Nina Gerber's Strat sounds amazing and her playing is just perfect for this song !
Unmistakable voice. I remember when I first heard “The Letter” brought me to tears in public
The best of the best. Karla Bonoff
Her first album was incredible. Saw her in concert when she opened for Jackson Browne. Bonoff dings from the heart.
Me too!
Gettin better with age! Love her music and in love with that voice.
wonderful seeing karla again! one of our most precious songwriters!

Great!!! Happy 58th to Karla, today 12-27-09 Sun - Love all he LP's/CD's + Bryndle!
I love how she shows she _is_ human and starts off key and then stops and laughs about it, not once but twice! Love her and her music.
Boy…I’m SO glad I clicked on this one….
I've worn out her first LP, and wore out the CD for the same LP, what a great album!!
Kenny Edwards RIP
泣けた!懐かしい!サンキュー
You could not love this! Vibes are flowing here!
Kills it on the guitar and piano. And great song writer. Wish we could hear more
Great singer songwriter!!
Great song!!
I saw them around this time in Largo, Fl. What a wonderful experience . :)
You really have to love someone like Karla, who in spite of her great reputation in the music industry, can still make a mistake and laugh at herself.
Sorry to sound like a know-it-all, but I met her once backstage. What you see is what you get- completely down to earth, sweet, and authentic.
one of my favorite boom boom boomer jamzzzzzz I saw her live in 2018
Despite the false starts, this is a wonderful effort by all involved!
It seems I always screw up too when trying to entertain, but she came through like a champ. I love Karla, as she's just out there as herself, never being pretentious.
Never stop her heart
FYI Chelsey Colpitts...the name of that song that starts with "Like a bird she was wounded" is "Never Stop Her Heart".
I can't understand how she didn't achieve superstar status, especially with that first album. I wore mine out, too.
いまでもおきれいですね。
The lady plays a fine piano, too.
😀👏👏top
That strat is on..........
I know, it sounds freakin' awesome ! The solo in this song is absolutely perfect, I couldn't love it anymore.....
I always wanted to write songs like her. Still trying.

saw her in a small venue she was great , seems like she played the organ then
Love the Linda Ronstadt version of this.
札幌で会いましたね。僕の青春はカーラです。

Think it was called "Never Stop Her Heart" from her "Restless Nights" album which is my favorite album by KB.
これは渋谷のライブハウスで10年度くらいやったLIVEですか?
no, kenny, you never really were a bad girl, lol. RIP, wonderful man.
出だしミスをする事が多いようだなぁ~(笑) でも、やっぱりこの歌が1番好きだぁ-!

wah. grow up.
Good thing that you don't know what every entertainer thinks or you would not be able to enjoy anyone.
Stephen Patt I doubt you would not say the same thing if your political views were different. Libs are the biggest crybabies in the world.
