Keith's dad and mom both listened to country music when Keith was growing up. His song Wild Hearts in the beginning is about when his dad took him to go see Johnny Cash for the first time and his dad was in awe of the artist. Keith Urban has been my absolute favorite artist for over 20 years now. I started listening to rock and then I heard "You'll Think of Me" one day and from that point on I was hooked on country music...because of Keith Urban. Now I listen to just about everything. But Keith will always be my go to artist because he is a phenomenal singer, song writer and guitar player!
There is nothing like being at Keith Urban's live concert! He is my favorite and I have been there! Y'all obviously like him. Y'all should go. You will love it! Thanks for reacting to him! Y'all are such a cute couple Sebs & Ali! God bless you both & your adorable little girls!
@@celinelovell4725 I'd recommend everyone go see him live at least once. Even if you're not into some of his music. Some of his songs do have that pop sound that a lot of country fans don't care for, but the concert is still enjoyable because of the passion he puts into it. He also interacts with the crowd quite a bit.
Fantastic cover. I love Keith's voice and Bee Gees are one of my all time favourite bands. Barry Gibb has one of the best voices ever. Michael Bolton also did a great version of To Love Somebody
I love Keith Urban and John Mayer doing GRAVITY live. I've seen John Mayer 8 /9 times and never been disappointed together their amazing 👏 Peace and Love ♥️ ✌️
Seeing Keith urban live is a must I’ve seen him live and hands down he is the best performer I’ve been to a lot of concerts in different genres but he’s amazing put it on your bucket list
I just saw him .again, this past weekend at the Hard Rock in South Florida. The energy, entertainment, production, everything about his show is great. He had a 10 year old come up on stage at the show and told him happy birthday then took a "selfie" with the crowd in the background. He is an amazing talent who appreciates his fans.
Awww I heard from a friend that has seen him several times and she also talked about the way he interacted with the fans.. Glad there are still a few artist around who interact with their fans and show they appreciate their dedication to their music. 😊
Australia has a great country music culture. We have an annual awards night known as the Golden Guitar awards. They are held in Tamworth, with a festival that runs for about a week
I think it has been every time I have seen Keith live, he gives a guitar away to a kid in the audience after a long solo. He signs it and hands it off, so cool!!!!
It was music that brought him to the US. He quit school at 15 to play music. Has played guitar since 6 years of age. His dad was a big Johnny Cash fan. His dad only drove American vehicles. He said in an interview that he knew he only wanted to play country music and needed to come to the US.
Only the U.S. has cowboys? Sebs! Where you are from, the Pampa's gauchos.s are the toughest wranglers in the World. Australia is one of the biggest beef producers and has had cow-punchers as long as we have! There are a ton of country (and all other types) music artists from Australia. One of the best is a lady, Kasey Chambers. Her recent cover performance of Lose Yourself went viral. 2 of her many originals The Captain, and Am I Not Pretty Enough are my recommendations after that. Peace & Love.
I am exactly like you. I NEVER thought I would like country music. I discovered Keith Urban and I haven't looked back. He had me at 'til Summer Comes Around. I heard it on radio when I had temporarily lost my eyesight and my husband bought me a radio to listen to. This was around 2009. I heard that song and realized I was listening to a. Country music station. Through listening to Keith Urban and that station I found myself drawn to other artists too. Keith Urban is still #1 for me,but I really liked a lot of other artists and the genre overall. I am so excited to find you guys, today!
Golden Road was his big break out solo album…so good🤩 He wrote most of the music. The “Raining On Sunday” video was my introduction to Keith. Never heard of him, but I wanted more😍😍 I was surprised the guitar playing at the end of “Raining On Sunday” was “country”
🤭😬 ooops! I didnt see your comment until after I had basically recommended the same thing as you pertaining to his performance at the Bee Gees tribute show. Oh my word .OMG... his performance was outstanding! The guitar solo was amazing. He truly out did himself! The look on Barry's face said it all! 😊
Keith Urban has said that Glen Campbell was a role model and a big influence on him. I hope you know who Glen Campbell is. Glen was a favorite of mine since I was a young girl back in the 70s. He's gone now, but there is a video of Keith accompanying Glen to one of Glen's songs on stage at one of Keith's concerts. You have to see that! Glen was one of the biggest country music stars for many decades. A great singer and also a master guitar player.
back years ago when i had my wife and kids i liked to play fun songs like this while the kids were swimming and i was cooking burgers on the grill those were some great memories.
I have always felt so grateful to be from the generation with the best music of all time. I got to watch rock and roll be born and grow up! I have never taken it for granted. One thing that makes me sad for todays kids is that true talent isn't necessary to be on stage, so basically they don't have concerts in their lives like we up until the 90's. I grew up going to so many concerts where the music coming from the stage was just as good, if not better than the studio recording. There is one exception and genre that does carry forward the quality of music that still performs on a stage and sounds as good live as they do recorded.....and that is Country. If you are not a kick ass musician, there isn't any room for you in Country music. Those people cut an album and actually go out on the road to support the sales of that album, consistently. Kids that love Country have concerts to go to with real people singing in their own voice without anything correcting their pitch or adding major distortion. I'm glad you are getting some enjoyment from Country music, this is coming from someone that switched to Country in the late 80's early 90's. Welcome to our true talent club!😊
I think Keith got a lot of people listening to country. Seeing him play live is an amazing experience that I've been blessed to have had 4 times! (Was on the floor for 2... wow!)
My sister used to work at Fender Guitar's HQ. Keith Urban came for a tour one day and the custom shop gave him a guitar with all the pickups customized (they thought) to suit him. He reverted it back to stock. She said he's a heck of a guitarist in person. She has about 15 Teles and Strats and doesn't play at all.
Keith writes most of his songs, he co-wrote For You which you have already reacted to. Also he was just recently inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. His talent is limitless.
Keith Urban was born in New Zealand 🇳🇿 but moved to Australia 🇦🇺. Wife Nicole Kidman was born in the USA 🇺🇸 but moved to Australia 🇦🇺. Country music is popular in both Commonwealth nations. Model Nicki Taylor is in the music video 📹. Keith Urban lists Crowded House 🏠 (formed in Australia 🇦🇺 although lead singer Neil Finn is from New Zealand 🇳🇿) and AC/DC (Angus Young and Brian Johnson are from the UK 🇬🇧 but band is formed in Australia 🇦🇺) as favorite bands. Suggested videos 📹: 1 Keith Urban sings Better Life 2 Leith Urbam and Brad Paisley sing Start a Band. 3 Kaylee Bell sings Keith.
I love Keith ❤️ and I just love seeing the love ya'll have between each other it's beautiful 😍 Thank You for your reaction hope ya'll have a blessed evening 🙏 sending ya'll love from Lafayette Georgia 🍑
Sebs…the smashing pumpkin guy is Jerry Flowers. Been with Keith a long time. He was also part of the band The Ranch with Keith. He writes, can sing, and obviously play bass. Very talented.
40th anniversary tele (1988 Custom Shop), i think with stock pickups! his tone is great because of his rig. I think he was running Hiwatt amps or 65 Amp Royal Alberts. Check out his Rig Rundown videos on UA-cam! Keith's rig changes with the wind lol.
Great love song! Interesting to learn that Sebs speaks Chinese as well - no wonder you don't always listen to the lyrics. (My sister speaks multiple languages - I'll have to ask her if she has that "problem", too.) It also makes more sense, now, that you always hear the instrumentals - it's not just that you are a guitar player, but that non-verbal music is universal. Ali's right - you need to ALWAYS read the lyrics to get the most out of the music. Keep at it, Ali - you'll have a deeper, shared appreciation of music, yet!
Love your reaction and Keith Urban. Check out "I Told You So" too if you haven't already. 🙂 I actually saw him in Shreveport, Louisiana, and before the concert started, they were playing music on the PA. And "Louisiana Saturday Night" came on, and the entire hall was singing along, as you can imagine. So at the end of the concert, KU played / sang the song. I don't know if he can just learn anything by hearing it once or what. I doubt it. What I think happened was in the middle of the show, Carrie Underwood did a set, and I think he learned the song while she was doing her thing. Either way, it was amazing.
A great female country artist from Australia who moved to Nashville and found some success is Jamie O'Neal, who had two No. 1 country hits with "There Is No Arizona" and "When I Think About Angels." I recommend the official music videos from 2001 or the studio versions. ... Btw, Olivia Newton-John started out as a country artist before she took a turn to pop (like Taylor Swift did more recently). I recommend Olivia's early country hits "If You Love Me (Let Me Know)" and "Please, Mister, Please" and "Let Me Be There" and "I Honestly Love You."
I know how you like a good Guitarist you really should do a deep dive in to the music of Roy Clark. You might want to start with "Malaguena" and work your way to "Yesterday When I was young"
You probably won't see this but I've thoroughly enjoyed watching all of your country reactions. There are two songs that I think you should listen to one is called Elephant by Jason Isbell and the other is by Luke Bryan- Little Boys Grow Up and Dogs Get Old. Both are extremely well written songs that really connected with me and I know they will connect with you as well. I wish you and your family the best, thanks for the inspirational words in all your reactions.
Love Keith! Live watching him play! Also love Father of the Bride. If you haven’t watched the original with Spencer Tracey I highly suggest it. I love old b&w movies, though. So it may not be for you.
Love Keith always a dependable artist who puts on an A+ live show. Love all his songs but my fav are anything he has done with Carrie Underwood or Pink!
You asked how Keith Urban got in to country music? He grew up listening to country music. His Dad took him to see Johnny Cash for his first concert when he was just 6 years old.
There are two Keith Urban instrumental songs I think you'll enjoy. How much and where do I donate to suggest these songs, please. Keith grew up listening to country music. Later he was influenced by other genres of music that helped him grow as a musician. He's a prolific songwriter. Starting out in Nashville that's one of the things he did besides being a studio musician to pay the bills.
Keith and Brad Paisley would have too be 2 of the best guitarists in country music. You should check out Brad Paisley doing the Game Of Thrones Theme video. Some unbelievable guitar playing in that video

He puts on a great show, seriously great live!❤
Keith Urban was in a group called The Ranch. That was the first time I had ever heard him sing.
Oh, yep, immediately did the guitar riff after the first line of the chorus, seriously one of the most recognizable in country music.
Saw this concert. Probably the best concert I ever attended.

One of Keith's best songs from the home front during the Covid lock down was a tribute to the Great Kenny Rogers "The Gambler".
Excellent
Cowboys are prevalent all over north and south America, as well as Australia.

Check out " Tonight I Wanna Cry" and "Till Summer Comes Around". Both are great, and on Tonight he shows off his piano playing.
May I suggest you go back away and listen to his song Raining on Sunday! I LOVE that song!! It will definitely go on your bedroom playlist! 😂
"fast as you" Keith, Dwight yoakum and brothers Osbourne! You will love it.

I hope you do know they do have Cowboys in Australia.....but they say Mate instead of partner 🤣
Love Keith! Live watching him play! Also love Father of the Bride. If you haven’t watched the original with Spencer Tracey I highly suggest it. I love old b&w movies, though. So it may not be for you.
If you haven't check out Where The Blacktop Ends or Faster Car by Keith!
That's a Banjo combo of the two
A happy song you should try is Zac Brown Band, "Knee Deep". I listen to this when I'm stressed. The words are happy and the melody is cheerful.
I haven't looked, but having seen videos from other guitarists, there might be one for Keith Urban's favorite setup.
Keith does a lot of collaborations with other great artists! Like John Mayer (for instance)! He's kinda awesome...
Australia has a big country music scene, Tamworth is the heart of country music in Australia
You should watch some more Brad Paisley and I believe there’s a live performance with both of them going ham on their guitars 🎸
They colaberate and play together on Brad's song "Start a Band". It's a great song and video!
Check out Keith’s “Raining On Sunday”-so sexy!
👏👏👏👏
Great song for a road trip !!
Check out a live version of You Look Good in My Shirt !!!
He gives his guitar to a girl in the audience.
He has some great "driving songs" !!!
First comment!!! Love Keith Urban!!!!
