Love her music, but unfortunelty I have never heard her music on the radio here in Sweden. Weird considering we are a neighboring country, really wish she will get big here too as nobody I talk to about her in Sweden knows who she is right now.
I’m Irish and her song ‘strangers’ was quite big here and on the radio a lot but I don’t think anyone really knew who the singer was 🤷🏼♀️

I love that she's so natural. Very little (if any) makeup, just a normal ponytail, clothes are pretty average aside from those amazing pants. She lets the music speak for itself, and that's really rare!

@@girlcolumbus I think you're missing the point. she looks like an average girl in Norway, with little-to-no makeup. if you met her on the street, she would look the same as if you met her on the stage. I don't wear any makeup normally, and if she stood next to me when I was dressed for a casual day hanging out at home, you wouldn't see a difference in our style.
but yeah, I can assure you that when she goes on tv they put a lot of makeup on her, because that's what they do, and because the cameras and lights changes things.

WHY ? Why does she need more recognition . Will recognition improver her innate talent ? Recognition is a dangerous thing cause it always comes with adoration and the acceptance of adoration can be the down fall of many a talented person . They stop accessing where their talent arises and start focusing on how great they think they are .

@@chiinevertheless2766 Check out Sigrids other songs: Strangers, Don't kill my vibe, sucker punch and a amazing version of Leonard Cohens "¨Everybody knows".. this song is featured in the Justice league movie.. thats almost as good as the original (I say almost just not to offend any Cohen fans ;) )

For those hearing her first time: if you like her voice just put the good headphones on and listen to "High five" song. YOU'll be blown away so hard and high ;)) I remember the time I was on 'repeat one' mode for a half a day ;)) And there is even a bass boosted edition which sounds even more epic.
High Five truly shows the uniqueness of her voice. I love her yodel style vocals, they're so different

@@KryzMasta no I know she's singing falsetto, but she adds a stylistic choice in her upper register by adding a slight yodel sound to it. It's very subtle, but I'm just saying I like her stylistic choices. She's a very intentional singer, and I like that about her

Agreed, also the pressure of a live performance like this can rattle the nerves. If you want to see just how good she is check out the live performance of dynamite. She's like a little Adele!

If people wanna hear Sigrids true vocal potential, they really should check out High Five. Her live performances of that track are always fucking stellar. I also think that whoever was mixing this performance needed to turn her mic up a bit.

I have no idea who books the performers for the KING OF LATE NIGHT ... my respite from a horrible day `The Late Show with Stephen Colbert´ but WOW! I have been blown away several times by the musical guests but resisted the urge to comment. However, today was particularly hard for us at the office and when I heard SIGRID´s I DON´T FEEL LIKE CRYING (...I would have entitled it - I know it hasn't hit me yet but alas I have digressed), I just felt a burst of energy. Thanks Sigrid and thanks Monsieur Colbert for always making us not cry - even when its the appropriate response to whatever our brains can make of our individual experiences - AND the world as we know it.
That and all was a mouthful but I couldn't hold back ... sorry...
She has a new album coming out and she was passing through on her world tour. The booker just has to find out who is in town and who is big at the moment, it isn't that hard.

david white It is live. Close to the original, but definitely live. She has an amazing band. They are her closest friends, working companions and a big part of her sucsess

@@Bergenslarsen My point was that it is mainly live playing. With todays technology, added backing track effects are extremely common. Here there are some. But most? No. it differs enough from the original. The majority is live playing and singing.

Not in Europe. Very higly rated. Amongst other things, she won The BBC, voice of the year 2018. Like Adele and other stars have in the past. -She was discovered by Elton John, who called her, at her house in Ålesund, Norway.

She sounds great in the quiet parts when her voice is front and center but she gets drowned out in a lot of it; I'll have to check out some more of her music.
Love her, I want her to get recognition here in USA, she is a talent that needs to be all over radio here and a good role model to young girls unlike the typical singers.

I really hope Americans start getting hyped on the Sigrid train because I'm DYING for her to book performances over here! If not, you better believe I'm taking a trip to the UK just to see her and her band. Sigrid is an amazing performer and this clip, though amazing, isn't even close to her other live performances you can find on UA-cam. She still killed it with an audience that had no idea who she was. Imagine how amazing she is when she's performing for her fans! Honestly watching her perform for her fans who are singing along to her songs almost brings me to tears LOL She has amazing energy, so down to earth, grateful for her band and her fans.

Sigrid is so amazing. This song "Don't Feel Like Crying" got me to start listening to her. However, "Don't Feel Like Crying" is VERY different than most of her work and not even close to my favorite song. You MUST also listen to her other songs. Strangers, Fake Friends, Don't Kill My Vibe, and High Fives, are my favorites. Sucker Punch and Plot Twist are also really good. If you're looking for something with less drums and more vocals, "Dynamite" is your Sigrid song.
