- Today we dive into legendary American singer MADONNA. "Papa Don't Preach" was the second single from her third studio album TRUE BLUE released in 1986. It would become her fourth number-one on the US Billboard Hot 100!

Lovely to see a daughter and father to do this song together. More mature Madonna and a mature father-daughter relationship. Makes me happy too.
Thank you so much Sam 😎 Cheers from Dallas
Its hard to believe I was 16 when this came out and I turn 52 this month.
HB. Same
The song, video and her looks are iconic in pop music and culture history
Queen of pop
I adore this song
Awww! What a sweetie! 🥰 Great reaction! Forgot how funky the bass is in this tune.
Back when music videos told a story. Great song. I also enjoyed both your dance moves. 👍🏽😀
Ha, Thx so much BailaMorena74 😎 Cheers from Dallas 😎 feel free to dance along with us !
The song was controversial at the time...one of her best from 80s.
Madonna icon brilliant storyteller. She's underappreciated nowadays. Life to tell another gem of Hers
Good job Abbie on your first RE vid.... any 80's fan is great in my book 😊
Thx for watching the show, 80's are Rad !! Absolutely 😎😎 Cheers from Dallas ✌🏼
The '80s Madonna with her charming cute attitude is the most i like compared to her '90s era.She walked on the tight rope between 'carefree girlie' sexuality and sophistication .I even like her debut album with her supposed 'Mini mouse voice',where she was about to sound more of a black act in the style of Stefanie Mills as far as i remember from some music press reference of those times. If i'm not mistaken 'True Blue' is her best seller studio album ever. The beautiful ballad LIVE TO TELL- also featured in a S.Pean movie-/OPEN YOUR HEART ,and the Abba-ish LA ISLA BONITA are my faves from that one.I also like her WHO'S THAT GIRL music and film contribution that followed.Abbie is a beautiful sunny girl btw.
Madonna pure legend 😎 Cheers from Dallas ✌🏼
Please react to Madonna's Take a Bow 😍
Interesting you picked this song. True Blue might be Madonna's most well-rounded album overall. Nicely done y'all 😁
thx Dave B 😎 Cheers from Dallas ✌🏼
Great song.
Wow. Seems like yesterday. I was thinking what My dad would have played for me in the late 80’s. And I think maybe Steely Dan AJA. Or Beatles’ Abby Road.
So True planetbetter 🤟🏼I often think about that as well with my Dad & Steely Dan and Beatles for sure, plus maybe throw in Neil Diamond .. Earth, Wind & Fire and The Eagles for my Dad also, ha 😎 Hence Tyler gets Madonna from me and then his kids will get like Kendrick Lamar 😎🤟🏼
I have a 21 year old daughter called Abigail (ABS) she is into the 80s - 90s music because she has grown up listening to what i call my music, My 25 year old son only wants to listen to the latest tunes and my 18 year old loves all music from Elton John to Avenged Sevenfold.... Great job Abs on your 1st video. Question, Is Ty or Abs or even Dad a fan of Kasabian? Really enjoy your UA-cam channel keep up the good work.
Thx Martin 😎 I know my son Ty listens to Kasabian 😎 Say hello and cheers from Dallas to your daughter Abigail from us !!
Abbie did great!
Rad, thx so much Guto 😎 Cheers from Dallas
Make her react to Madonna "Open Your Heart" ❤🔥
Welcome Abs!! And Clint you finally got a sibling to love Madonna, I think you cheated though lolol!🤣
Very funny Jeremy, ha 😎 She liked it, woohoo 🎉 !
2nd single of a really big album *
Things have changed - I am scared and confused. Nice to see Abs in the reaction after previous mentions and still a photo of her. The vibe and interaction is a bit different to with your son, not in a bad way but different.
Danny Aiello (Papa in this clip) was such a great actor and even here he carries a lot of gravitas in the little bits he's required to do. 3 years later he starred in Spike Lee's "Do The Right Thing" and became really well know.
It is a different vibe yes ... Abbs has done well filling in for Ty and helping us out yes indeed 😎 Kudos to her! Ty is back from Argentina and we are actually filming again today, woohoo 🤟🏼 It was pretty cool to see Danny Aiello in this video!
@@reactionextraction - You should do a 3 way dance reaction and maybe Ty & Abs reactions too just to mix things up. It would be interesting to see them interact.
Cheers Valentina 😎😎 Thank you again as always ... Cheers from Dallas ✌🏼
At least in the 80s the charts were dominated by Madonna so glad I grew up in that era.......today's charts are dominated by Ed Sheeran......I mean what a come down! Not my fav Madonna song but love the violin intro
Your right David, the intro is Rad 😎
Madonna continued to dominate the charts in the 90s and 2000s, her biggest worldwide #1 single, Hung Up, is from late 2005, it went to #1 in more countries than any song in history at that time
It was serious because it tackled teen pregnancy and serious storytelling instead of being the fun dance music or tounge in cheek stuff that was written off as fluff or just provocative for shock value. The production was more serious as well.
New subscriber. Bingeing because I love the parent introducing a kid to their music rather than straight blind reactions.
Thx for subbing ConquerersMama 😎 Welcome and thx for watching the show 😎✌🏼 We do try to break down the music generation gap between us and it sounds a lot easier than it actually is sometimes, ha
@@reactionextraction I now have seen your kids showing you their music. (Thanks for turning me on to more than the few The Weekend songs I knew). I really love it.
My late hubs really looked forward to being able to do this with our kiddo. My dad did it with me. Although we did film stuff then. It's such an important bond. It's my favorite thing when I travel.
It honestly used to be one of my interview questions at my bar, what cassette/cds are in your car right now? People thought often thought it was a trick question. Or testing some cool factor.
It wasn't.
I genuinely want to see if they listened to music. And how their face/Attitude might change when answering. If they were comfortable with banter. If they opened easily. If they were suspicious or guarded. Plus I found it more interesting than "what adjective best describes you".
Love you
Can you guys react to Joji's new song Glimpse of Us?
I think this song seems to have an anti abortion stance. Lol!
