Neon Ballroom is my favorite album of all time. The music never gets old and it always sends chills down my spine. I like the chair's newer and older stuff, but the stuff from ballroom cannot be topped in my mind. I love it. And the lives of these songs are just as dynamic, if not more, esp. this Melbourne '99 live.
Daniel is a god silverchair is my freaking favorite band and there awesome live i saw them about a month ago sadly they didnt play this song though. and i agree Neon Ballroom is perfection
Nearly brought a tear to my eye. What I wouldn't give to have seen that performance live. Just... perfection. Perfect chemistry, perfect execution of (perfect) vocals. I respect that they grew up and the music changed, but I don't have to like it :S In all seriousness, this will always be my favorite album from pretty much any band at all. And even if I'm 68 and still listening to "angsty" music, then let me be! It's the absolute best.

I wish this band would get a LOT more cred over here in the US because everything they have done has been simply amazing. None of that cookie cutter crap they produce state side exists in the band Silverchair, which is just great. They are truly unique and I will always love them for that.
god i wish this was the album version 2:45-2:59 is amazing, he has such good control over his voice. i wanted them to play this song so bad when i saw them but they mostly just played their new stuff :( that was still awesome tho
the silverchair dvd "the best of videology" has 3 performances from this concert on it..."The Door", "Paint Pastel Princess" and "Spawn Again", I own the dvd and would strong reccomend it
Paul Mac isn't gay nor did he ruin Silverchair..when you are band for 17 years your ideas and tastes generally change especially when Silverchair started when Daniel was like 14..i appreciate his (Daniels) musical creativity and his ability to grow and try new things and express himself differently. This album (neon ballroom) is fantastic and definitely my favorite album of all time BUT I love watching them as a band grow.
