Seems like good value at sub-7 ...mind you that mirror placement would really get on my goat. Thanks for reminding me why I continue to avoid going off-road too....appreciated!
I've gotta admit, that does seem like an extremely tough and slippery path, even though you said it was easy for other bikes.
But I suppose, if you've done it before you'd know better. Maybe settings or the tryes as you mentioned. It doesn't look that bad tbh. Swings n roundabouts I guess. Thanks for sharing and see you on your next adventure ✌️ 🤙 🤟
Good video Rich of a nice looking bike. Those mirrors would do my head in mind!! Sen you on that trail before, that was a poor show from the bike. Still, you pays your money. Thank you
Short vid but nice! Cheers Richy! For me, slapping some decent tyres on it would improve grip but the lack of ground clearance will be a bit tricky for anything other than light trails. Shoving some Double Take mirrors on would sort a couple of problems with durability and the offset issue. So, I think a bit of cash would help get you onto some light trails and still be nice for the road if that’s what you want to do. 👍
Looks great & 7k is a Bargain 👍🏻 great review Rich👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Nice One Richy, Moto Morini stand at ABR was very busy 👍👍😎😎
Yes it was 👍
It’s definitely a good bike for the money and looks dam fine to 😎🤘a good review as ever 🙏
Looks like a nice ride for the sheckeroonskees. Ride safe Mr Vida
Nice looking bike seems like great value,
I think so too!
Just out of curiosity after you saying about the mirrors I looked at my DR 650 and after 18 years of ownership I noticed my mirrors are out of sync, the clutch side is on the back of the bar and the brake side on the front, I wouldn’t lose sleep over it though. 😂😂😂
The Pirelli tyres are ok in the dry but not so crash hot when it gets wet, especially off road and the 19 inch front don’t help as much as a 21 at getting over obstacles like tree roots and rock ledges, you really have to carry more momentum but getting the speed up on low traction is the hard part.
Looks like a good bit of kit for the money!Great Video, see you at WW23
Friend of mine here in Ireland bought one of these last year and loved it for the first few months until it started to rust like crazy over the winter. Nice looking bike at first but now looks like it's 10 years old
Interesting!
Had it been ac50 treated for winter salt etc???
@@yorkshiretink3188No it hadn't stock cleaning every other week bucket and hose job. We don't get our roads covered in salt during the winter here either so was a surprise. It's a very nice road bike though but I'm a Kawasaki man through and through
@@Jonathan-yd8ud isn’t this exactly a Kawasaki engine 🤔
nice one Rich , definitely ocd mirrors 😂bit like the bmw cylinder pots there horrendous once you see it 🙈😂
Nathan millward has been running one for a year doing various tours over the uk and Ireland, with no issues 7000 + miles. Offroad mode is where you turn abs on/off iam pretty sure.
Abs is switched separately to that. But I may be wrong.
Illuminated Switchgear for you. For me it's a Centre Stand , they should be standard on all bikes especially AT's. Slight detour. Is there a longer version of your theme tune ? I really like it😊
Yes, full version. It’s heavy! 💪
Good one,honest points.👍Manxman 🇮🇲
What gloves are you wearing Richy ? Great vid btw
Humvee II Endura - linked in description 👍
press and hold set for 3 seconds to open the menu for rear abs off
yea very odd design with the mirrors was it really that bad off road i do recall you on another bike and having no trouble up there
Hi Richy. I have owned an X-Cape for a year and done over 5,500 on her. It’s an excellent bike! No problem with the mirrors? I have just done the WAW in Ireland and two weeks in the Picos. I recently watched your video about attempting the TET from Sotres! You know the one, 80% of the tour turned around and you dropped you amazing off road Africa Twin! Remember it? Well I just did the same route on the Morini (5/7/2023 I’m certainly not an off road rider, the bike is so forgiving I didn’t drop it!) It’s an amazing bike. You forgot to mention the braded hoses and fully adjustable rear shock as standard. Also available in low seat version at 825mm. Ride safe. Oly
Excellent! Yeah I really like it! Lovely on road. 👍
Did you enjoy the Waw..?
@@cooleyballs1 Yes, Never been to Ireland before. But.... Spain in better!
@OlyTruman you can sing that.
Wikipedia states that engine is built by CFMoto, based on the Kawasaki ER-6. So what we have is basically an Italian Versys 650?
I've put some scorpion tyres str on Yamaha mt03❤❤
It looks great, but long term will it hold up? Chinese made bikes seem to age badly with rust and corrosion. I think if I had £7k to spend a 2nd hand Tenere would be a much better option.
Richy, the throttle grip wants unscrewing and rolling forward. Its on the piss mate !
I would have struggled up that trail on my ktm sxc ! i would stick to flat dirt tracks on that morini, still nobody tests it for a motorway stint at speed , which you would need to do if touring any where
It’s really nice on the road. Lovely looking machine 👍
Maybe you can switch off abs only in off-road mode...
The only soft roader I'd consider is a Triumph Tiger, I don't go off-road😊
Great video, comments to early, they don't put illuminated switch gear on, because it's too car like
Best regards Shaun
I came close but the T 7 won. Residuals?
I’ve still never tried the T7 yet, but there’s defo a lot of love for it!
What gloves are wearing.. Oh and bike looks nice.
Listed in description.. Humvee II
Those mirrors would absolutely trigger my OCD! Couldn’t do it!
Hi Richy, it's not a bad looking bike I suppose with a few easily fixed foibles, and do you think that off road mode switches the ABS off? Thank you.
Don’t think so..
@@RichyVida Yes its switches off rear ABS, when in Off road View..hold down button..
Road tire pressure wouldn't have helped on that offroad section.
My Tiger 1200 is the first bike ive had with illuminated switch gear and my god how much better is it and so simple to do its crazy many dont do it
Tyre pressures less than 20 psi would have helped
I'll stick to the road thanks!
Baha
The Mirrors would put my OCD into overdrive, now that you pointed it out of course 🤣
Me as well😂
I'm 99% sure you can adjust that mirror clamp. Roll it forwards I mean because that would be ridiculous.
Nope. If you did that the brake res would be wrong..
Man those mirrors are weird. Other than that, a fine looker! 👍🏻
Which is better the cb 500 x or the moto morini and which would you say has better pull and is faster
My personal view on this is the negatives are similar to the trk502x that I have previously owned. Chinese build quality isn't great long term and prone to rusting etc. Weight to power ratio is poor (its 230kg wet weight). Re sale values / depreciation are poor. I suspect getting spare parts will also be a nightmare like benelli. Its basically a cheap road bike but imo there are much better options out there.
Welche Alternative? Jetzt bin ich aber mal gespannt 😂 Ich liebe meine Moto Morini x-cape ❤ wer sie selber noch nicht einmal gefahren hat sollte mit Ratschlägen vorsichtig sein 🤘
Showing ur wheelie in slo mo doesn’t make it any longer 😂
I prefer their SEIEMMEZZO 6½ myself. But god knows how you pronounce that.
I had that in. Didn’t make a video on it! And, I believe it’s “see-a-met-so” 🤷♂️
Urs AT is dct so no clutch operating, that's couse Ur problem eith xcape
Looks are one thing, reality quite another, as you found out. Too heavy, too top heavy, suspension not up to offroad, possibly wrong tyres? Enough low down grunt? Or output optimised for emissions efficiency & noise regs? Road pegs, no hand guards, weedy looking handlebar, is that a plastic belly pan? Those down pipes look dreadfully exposed. Probably a decent commuter when all’s said and done.
Great looking bike and for £7k what a bargain, I think they are using a Chinsky version of the ER6 engine.
The bike looks like it has a reasonably low seat height, so it will struggle with ground clearance compared to a Africa Twin.
Can never understand your obsession with knobbly tyres. I spent 20+ years racing enduros and in a lot of events we’ve had to use trials tyres with no maker issues. Even FIM Enduro tyres don’t have such a aggressive tread pattern as road legal mx tyres.
I just love em!
Richi Bemoto wouldn't insure me for byways and green lanes , oh the bike doesn't look bad 🎉😂
Really? 🤔
@@RichyVida yep they say they don't do that
Bizarre in a few ways! lol.
Those rocks ln that "easy" trail looked horrendous. Don't know why you get your knickers in such a twist over lack of illuminated switch gear. Just don't ride at night🤣
Haha but I love riding at night! Wouldn’t it be nice for your bike to have just everything you could possibly want?!
Great, there's a bike for most budgets...thanks Richy, you can't have everything #symetry can't spell either😅
True that! (On both points haha)
First
To be fair it's your second time on this bike and you still on road biased tyres... A T7 would be crap with those. Come on get some tyres you would hit the good trails with then show us what it's like
Most of these so called adventure bikes, are too heavy.
You really get used to the weight.
the bike is fine offroad, you ran out of talent not the bike.
🤦♂️ and as I said; I’ve ridden that lane tonnes of times on loads of different - heavier - machines, and never struggled. Ground clearance was the main issue. So yes. It’s the bike.
Have to agree amateur technique try few off road classes get the basics sorted everyone has to start somewhere 👍
🤦♂️
Jep, agree
