Wow, your first quilt is perfect. Your Dad’s first quilt is spectacular too. The quilt you and your dad made together is a real beauty. Complicated too.
Wonderful tips show and thank you for taking that time to share the love of quilting! Best to you and Hugo and I need to finish watching him make his first quilt! Hugs, Deb
This is soooo good! One of the good things that happened with the pandemic…. This closeness that the web provides! Interesting tips and techniques! Thanks Ricky! (I attended your classes back in 2017 in Houston…..)
Great information Ricky. I'm learning something different every time I watch you & Alex. Sorry I couldn't stay up that late to watch you 'Live' You're not on till 3 am here in Australia so I'm watching the recording, thankyou.
Ricky, I am not sure if you will get this comment, but how shocked when I saw a photo of your first quilt. My first was exactly the same pattern and some of the same fabric colors. I still have mine and look at it as a reminder of how far I have come.
Genius tip on freezer paper--and everything! I have a silicone brush or pet hair sponge brush because lint roller are meh. But on batting, it does not withstand those tools. Would note that both the silicone brush/pethair sponge keeps cutting board and ironing surface clean. Love the vine effect. A great way to easily add a eye-popping effect. I would likely experiment with perle cotton and Wonderfil Invisifil in the top.
My sqares are large hand embroidered panels with sashing between them. I'd like to use some of the floss from the squares on the border by couching on the sewing machine. Does that sound like it will work?
Hi. Really enjoyed the video and your tips. Next time could you turn off your sound notification every time someone messages you? On our side it sounds like bubbles popping. It's a lot of popping bubble noises. 🙉☺
Ok.... I am soooo inspired!!! I hope you come to Canada some day. The world needs more Ricky Tims. But, I don't know who I adore more, Ricky or Hugo!!

FYI: my reception was perfect. There is a clicking sound periodically but doesn’t interfere with the sound.
Hope Libby is doing well. I remember her from Quilter’s Newsletter magazine years ago. I got that magazine for years. Libby wrote articles in it.
I want to watch this so much, but there are notification sounds every couple of seconds.
I’m very happy that your channel are joining your channel, but the popping sound with each join is very annoying
Good afternoon 😃
Great reception and sound here in Australia, except for some popping 😅

It's hard to watch this on UA-cam because of the constant popping noise. Very distracting.
Thanks for the tips. You need to talk with Alex to have her tell you how to get stop the popping noise, very distracting.
Joni from Iowa
OMG that's stupid popping noise so distracting
Your thread looks stiffer than other threads.
Mute the popping noise! That is so distracting and nerve wracking and your video is very hard to watch with that irritating noise. I'm outta here.
Want to watch but can’t take the POPS. By
