    Great Video as always, Derick.
    For Youthberk Fullblast though, unfortunately the decklist has been so fully optimized so there really aren't that much space to tech (if Tolpaz Cat is becoming too expensive [I only have one copy for my future Luard deck], I am thinking replace it with either Schneizal OR Divine sister Languedechat, what do you think of those two options though?)
    Also going second, depending on my match-up , should I revoldress Gust or Tempest on G3 turn and finish my opponent off on G4 with fullblast, or Fullblast is the only G3 we are revoldressing on in this deck (there are some rare times I wasn't able to gather all 3 forms in my G3 when going second)

      During my playtests, on G4 finishing turns, I realized sometimes I am running out of good RG attackers, especially against retire or bind decks; so I have to resort on calling revolform on RG, which is the context of why I am teching schneizal or Languedechat
      Does that ever happen to you?

      @@TheDerickDao Thanks, I guess that is the price to pay for running so many G3 then.

    "fall ... forever!" glad the prices will drop (i think?) with the tripple drive set

      @boyangliu5037 10 місяців тому +1

      Yeah, triple drive set will be the time I am finally building Youth and hopefully Youth will no longer be meta that time to make the price more affordable, since as a previous Shadow Paladin main, I dig Youth's aesthetics and playstyle even if it's not a contender deck. Unfortunately in Vanguard besides Waifu tax, there is...edge tax XD

    Whats the thought process of mulliganing gust there? Corino gurantees u can swap it out for a tempest and put gust into soul from hand. With tempest in hand u can gurantee you have something to play on ur turn 3 if you get unlucky and not get the last revolform soulcharger. Also further on u guarded the first attack going first and called a rear guard on turn 2, the opponent can just swing side with vanguard and keep you locked at 0 damage?

    • @TheDerickDao
      @TheDerickDao 10 місяців тому

      The idea of mulliganing Gust is to have one more chance to find Bard or Fergosa. If your opponent swings one line to side, then create 3 lines and bash them back. If they try to stall one turn from not being pushed by Full Blast, punish them by rushing them back and making their stall turn useless.

      @@TheDerickDao The smart move would still be damage denying you since you're also going first, eating a full blast turn while on grade 2 is almost unguardable and if you're lucky you can easily 1 to 5/6 dmg him.
      A vanilla grade 3 turn will mess with your tempo and give your opponent a chance to turn the game around.
      If you were going second then it would be a different story

    • @TheDerickDao
      @TheDerickDao 10 місяців тому

      @@emiliolabaki2915 Correct, but you also have to think from your end as well. Taking 2 damage early might ruin you if your hand is bad for guarding so it might actually be better for you for your opponent to damage deny you and you forcing them into that situation to buy a turn to farm your hand back up.

    Would you consider putting 1 reedy in place of 1 tolpaz?
    I really like schneizals and dolbraigs
    There isnt any place for any of them?

    • @TheDerickDao
      @TheDerickDao 10 місяців тому

      You can but I think Reedy conflicts with soul usage of other cards in the deck. Test and find out if you like it :)

    • @boyangliu5037
      @boyangliu5037 10 місяців тому

      Personally, I would say NO to Reedy. She is a decent tech in Youthberk pre-DBT 13, but consider we need REVOLforms in soul for FullBlast and non-REVOLforms souls for Fergosa draws, there is really not enough soul for Reedy's inconsistent pay-off. The tolpaz really is just give us some shield consider the large amount of G3 we are running (or some help on field-building occasionally)
      You can make space for Schneizals (In fact, I tech one in my finalized youth list, since we need some decent RG pressure), it has more chances to pop off his first skill consider we are running more G3. Dolbraigs on the other hand....unfortunately same for Reedy, we need Revolform to stay in the soul and his first skill isn't worth it for the space
      Just my 2 cents, hopefully it helps

      Thank you guys for the replys. Im kinda nostalgic for older units thats why i wanted to incorporate them in some form. I was thinking reedy on 1 couldnt be bad, since a lot of cards go in soul from corino eff, full blast goes to soul, sequanna… same thinking about dolbraig, since almost all revol forms are double..
      Thank you guys, i will take your advice

    • @boyangliu5037
      @boyangliu5037 10 місяців тому

      @@generationx4978 Wow, I am in the exact position as you then, I dislike how "optimized" the Fullblast decklist has become and leave little to no space to run nostalgic Youthberk pieces. I would say 1-2 copies of Schneizal is still your first choice on that department. After that, consider running 1 copy of Divine sister Languedechat or Cairbre, they also work really well in Fullblast build, former has insane versatility and costs nothing, and latter gives another chance to pop off Corino skill or finding key pieces.
      I understand your argument of having soul chargers in the deck, but do keep in mind that in the current fast meta, the old Youth grinding is just not feasible. My friend is actually the one who was playtesting Youth (I am playtesting Lianotn Vivace against him) and he tried his best to squeeze Spiral Cutie Angel or Dolbraig, but ultimately decides not worth the effort, since multiple copies of revolforms on gust and tempest are just extra insurance in case any of it hits damage zone.
      I am currently waiting for next years triple drive booster reprint to build Youth, hopefully the deck will be a lot more budget friendly than now.
