Me too! The lottery has gotten greedy about their prizes so I quit wasting my money on the lottery. Instead I save whatever I used to spend, now I have more money for necessities. Why give the lottery any money at all because here in Kentucky, nobody ever wins the jackpot and if any one wins on scratch offs, it's in Louisville or Lexington not in poorer counties. The lottery knows exactly where the big prizes are on the scratch offs are located. If they didn't how could they tell the police how much was stolen from a gas station when it's robbed? They couldn't, but they do just that. They told the police that $1000 worth of winners were stolen in a Louisville robbery. The lottery is a scam!

With so much money involved. There is a scam in there somewhere. The ball as they tumbled are being scanned . For sure. The scan machine already has all selected ticket numbers. I don't know the scam but there has got to be one
@@bobbrawley2612 There is always a SCAM or some form of deceit in anything that involves money. It is the American way. Every business does that. Property taxes which go for schools are a robbery. Why the property owners including those who have never had any children have to pay for schools?. The schools should be financed by states and taxes.
Earlier in the video you stated that anyone can play, even if they're not a US citizen so long as the ticket is bought in the US. If you look at the graph at 9:05 how much of the winnings would a foreigner take home if they won? Will the US government take a slice of the money? Or would it solely be taxed by the winner's country's discretion?
I grew up in a family home that gambled like this all the time and thought they would make it one day. Instead of honest work. It’s all good as they set a wonderful example for me. Thankfully, I saw how this never worked and learned otherwise.
Its basic mathematics. 300 million possible combinations says that if everyone in the U.S. bought a ticket there might be a winner.. The reason no one wins for 15 - 20 drawings is the odds are astronomical against you..
If you do math that means logically you understand the probability of wining the lottery. Which should help you pin point the location or even number of that max probable wining chance and not call it unethical. the only unethical thing about playing the lottery is the transparency problem like not manually selecting wining numbers and etc..
Susan Nunes your local educated moron here, yeah because people making ~$150k (middle-upperclass class) play the lottery. Look at casinos for example they’re filled with lower middle class. I’ve also sold hundreds of lottery tickets, many are lower middle class.
If society is concerned about the extreme and rising wealth concentration why not have much smaller jackpots with many more winners instead of concentrating so much money into 1 jackpot. The lottery as it is makes the wealth gap even worse
In Canada the lottery is run by the government so they control everything that happens. They used to show the numbers drawn but the current government stopped showing the numbers drawn but they show a video of it being drawn at a later time. So who knows if it is real or rigged. They could just be showing numbers that they gave to someone and told them to pick and then draw them so they win. It just seems funny that only two provinces in the east of the country have won 60 65 and 70 million dollar jackpots until just recently and that is because a lot of the people out west have stopped buying tickets and have been complaining about the lottery corporation and that the east only wins.

I think the lottery's fixed, personally.
It is
Don't care what no one says i will win big some day!
Me too. Check back in with me when we win.
Me too I know. It
there's nothing wrong with playing the lottery isn't just when it becomes an addiction and you spend your money like crazy on it
litojonny I agree. I only play when it’s at least half a billion. Or close to it. And that’s usually with and left over cash I got laying around in my car lol.
seriously though I always have like $2 in change in my car which I am never gonna use because I don't carry loose change so when it gets that high it is just a flat who knows what might happen so I might as well.
In 2020, Powerball and Mega Millions minimum jackpot switching temporary to $20 million during the Coronavirus Pandemic.
The poorer American gets the faster the Jackpots Grew
Incomeking Rarely. And 2$ for them is nothing. A person making 7.50$/hour will buy the ticket, but spent a higher percentage of their income on lottery.
The lotto's new slogan - "Jackpots: Filled by Desperation!"
Nothing but a big scam
This whole video seems like an ad. Ads are getting more and more clever. Instead of interrupting your regular content they want to be your regular content.
live life lol not me have never played it
With so much money involved. There is a scam in there somewhere. The ball as they tumbled are being scanned . For sure. The scan machine already has all selected ticket numbers. I don't know the scam but there has got to be one
life true but when they jacked the price to $2 per number combination for the mega million I pretty much dropped out
@@bobbrawley2612 There is always a SCAM or some form of deceit in anything that involves money. It is the American way. Every business does that.
Why do you think they stop you from buying tickets 30 minutes before the drawings. It is to scan all the numbers and come up with non winning combinations.
I think Lottery is only place in the world where everyone is equal.....no partiality at all...❤
A tax on those who didn’t pay enough taxes to be educated. (That is, school funding is tied to property taxes)
Property taxes which go for schools are a robbery. Why the property owners including those who have never had any children have to pay for schools?. The schools should be financed by states and taxes.
Just the American Dream. A ray of hope, just a ray.
Interesting video. I'm really impressed by the content CNBC is putting out, really top quality.
Music is annoying.
That buzzing noise from the phone on vibration mode 😂😂😂
I grew up in a family home that gambled like this all the time and thought they would make it one day. Instead of honest work. It’s all good as they set a wonderful example for me. Thankfully, I saw how this never worked and learned otherwise.
In Guatemala you can become millionaire if you are owner of a lottery, because poor people rather buy lottery tickets instead of buy food
CES Same as the USA. ;)
The Beginning of wisdom!!!
Find out what numbers have the highest probability of winning at here:- *4 W i n L o t t e r y . C o m*
Its basic mathematics. 300 million possible combinations says that if everyone in the U.S. bought a ticket there might be a winner.. The reason no one wins for 15 - 20 drawings is the odds are astronomical against you..
So you have sensors watching each ball. Then it picks a ball by random. Ok sounds legit.
Hugeeee scam
I am a lottery jackpot winner! Thank you. CA Lottery 🤑🥳🤗💯
All or most of the money comes from the inner city and the winner usually resides in a small suburb community.
Why aren't poor whites ever mentioned in surveys? Because that's all I see holding up the lines inside the convenient stores here lol 🤣🤣🤣
I don't play the lottery but I did get money for college thanks to the Georgia HOPE scholarship and the individuals that fund it playing the lottery.
Good morning,so my name is Métélus Roldophe,I am from Haiti.
Mega million is,according to me,a very good game the world,so Iove it so much, thank you
I've always found the lottery unethical. I wouldn't buy one, because I can do math.
If you do math that means logically you understand the probability of wining the lottery. Which should help you pin point the location or even number of that max probable wining chance and not call it unethical. the only unethical thing about playing the lottery is the transparency problem like not manually selecting wining numbers and etc..
But somebody will win. And that person or persons will laugh in your face while boarding their private jet
It's improbable but still possible to win.
To be fair if they don't understand that 1 in 300M are impossible odds then they don't need the money anyway, leave it for the rich to enjoy

It should me mandatory that a broadcast be announced and not extensively but enough for players to be aware.
This was the perfect news item. Totally comprehensive.
They collected 80 BILLION IN 2018 and only paid out 1.6 BILLION??? Now that's a great return on your investment.
It's like Dave Ramsey says that the lottery is a tax on the poor.

Raylor my teacher did that that why I don’t play
I bought like three tickets in my life.

Detroit alone spends 300 million a year on lottery tickets. So that's 100 million a year to the state' school system fund, but .....

I love the Trinidad Lottery. There are a total of 4 open numbers. It's fun to make numbers. It is a matter of luck whether or not to get the number.
I wish there was a TV show following lottery winners and their winnings
When lottery get over 20 million there should be 2 top prizes and continues at every 20 million increments
Second level prize is 1M or 2M if the multiplier is played.
Lotto= “Poor people tax”
No, it isn't, moron. Poor people have no funds to buy lottery tickets.
Susan Nunes your local educated moron here, yeah because people making ~$150k (middle-upperclass class) play the lottery. Look at casinos for example they’re filled with lower middle class. I’ve also sold hundreds of lottery tickets, many are lower middle class.
@CNBC you guys make one of the most impressive and eye opening videos!

They target poor people cuz poor people think it's 50/50 = win or lose but in reality 1/1800000 loool
oh yeah yeah
If society is concerned about the extreme and rising wealth concentration why not have much smaller jackpots with many more winners instead of concentrating so much money into 1 jackpot. The lottery as it is makes the wealth gap even worse
All this money we throw for the governments for a bailout yet when we need a stimulus check they struggle to even give a little back. What a joke

If you've got a problem with the lottery, you got a choice not to play, so STOP blaming the lottery
Also the 70 million that was won out west was actually won by someone from out of the province they bought the ticket in
No tax on lottery winnings i in Sweden. Win EuroJackpot (at most 90 Million €) and you get to keep it all.
Do you have bingo gambling guys knocking on your door? My ex lives by the ice hotel ( gieva ????) where tge xmas goat gets burnt down by pranskers .... They'd always knock on her grandmother's door selling them and she always lost most of the time leaving her in the hole
@@zippitydodaday6037 OK so the Ice hotel is in northern Sweden (Jukkasjärvi) and the Goat is in Gävle. About 1000 KM apart. So that narrows your ex grandmothers house down to about half of Sweden. But no, I haven't had that issue.
