      @yolandasantiago8201 It's Absolutely wonderful to have an Owner and President of Baseball Operations who are Mets fans.
      Otherwise it would just be another business investment/venture for the owner and simply another job for the President of Baseball Ops.
      Naturally even if they weren't fans, their goal for success would still be there. However, their hearts are invested also because they are fans and have been through what we have all been through as Mets fans.
      How many teams have an owner and president of baseball operations that were raised die hard fans of the team they own or are employed by?

    I love how clear he is of his past decisions, of his intent moving forward, intelligent and concise with regard to intent, what we have and what we need.. and his respect for this fan base being one himself. We are so fortunate to now have true fans of our Mets as Owner and President of this organization. I can not wait for 2024. Despite liking Buck and what he brought, some of his decisions with our personnel, namely bullpen changes late in games cost us a ton of games we should have one last year and this year. Good luck Buck. Out with the old in with the new!! #LFGM!!

    Loved his reminiscing about sneaking into Shea. At Shea, when the Mets were on the road and we were around 14 or 15, we climbed over the fence behind the Mets bullpen were the players parking lot was.
    It was so cool throwing in the bullpen. And playing on the field. Which happened for not too long a time before someone from the grounds crew or some other employee came along and said, how the hell did you guys get in here?
    We basically told them we climbed over the fence and were escorted out. We had no idea at that age we were breaking and entering. Well, we were climbing and entering actually. But no difference really.
    I’ve got to tell you though, for the short amount of time we actually played on the field, was like a dream come true. And something I will never forget. We did it once during football season also, but that’s another story. And they had the tarp on the field.

    Trade Pete Alonso for someone that can hit 30HR 100RBI and, most importantly, 300 AVG. Someone who strikes out less than 80 times a year and takes walks. That is how you win games.

    • @PedroGarcia-vg9ln
      @PedroGarcia-vg9ln Рік тому

      Players that have reached your criteria this season: 0
      Acuña and Betts are the only ones that hit 30 hrs with 100 rbis while hitting .300, but struck out over 80 times this season. So unlikely we can acquire someone like that for Pete

    • @bengiey2k
      @bengiey2k Рік тому

      @PedroGarcia-vg9ln Well, then let's get one of those players you mentioned or, more importantly, an Ace pitcher. All Pete Alonso does is Homeruns. He rarely hits in the clutch. He strikes out. The batting avg is terrible. You are not going to win many more games with him. Get rid of him. Get the Ace pitcher that can help you win games with Edwin Diaz finishing the game.
