- I apologize for the low production (particularly the audio) quality. This is a strategy I devised on my first playthrough of Halo 2 on Legendary with on the PC MCC port, which I recreated a couple times to verify its effectiveness and publish here. The only skull I have on is IWHBYD for rare dialogue.

This really helped me thanks! All the other guides were telling me to bring this weapon then switch out for that and run around the whole arena while this was simple and helped me finally beat halo 2 legendary. Thanks!

well i died 4 times trying to beat him on normal on my first play through last year
Yo it work sort of he keep coming for me in that spot but i hurt him but i die but don't worry im going to beat him later on at night thanks for the strategy and i always come back

i tried a few time because i suck (yes i died on easy, shut up) then found out you can cheese him
God the boss fights in Halo 2 were such bad and poorly implemented idea
This is a pretty decent strategy if you don't want to use vehicles but my personal favorite is just getting the banshee into the final room. Once the scarab blows the door, just fly into the first door/ OVER the debris and into the next room, bomb the brutes and into the final room. play cutscene, walk backwards and grab your banshee and just bomb Tartarus until he dies.
It's considerably easier than doing the spectre trick and Tartarus wont even target you, unless you happen to get hit with splash damage when he targets an elite.
plus there is less danger when the enemy reinforcements come in as you aren't likely to be hit with grenades like you are standing on that square platform
yeah, thats what i did, have my banshee sit infront of him, and keep shooting him till he dies XD, have to continuously shooting him, so when his shield down window time comes, it will definitely damage him.
