I'm just a 19 year old boy who put a lot of effort into being a good person, a good son, a good child, a good teenager... but right now, that I'm in College, in med school, in what I thought that was my dream, i began to suffer with emetophobia, with Panic Attacks and, most recently, with depression... it's so hard sometimes, there are days, weeks, months where I dont find rest, happiness... I dont know what happened... I pray to God, please, be still my soul, help me make the right choices... don't let me alone in this big desert... in the nams of Jesus!

When my mother died almost a year and half ago at 46 I would listen to this song. Yahweh got me through some really hard times and I am forever thankful for his holy spirit! Looking back this could have been totally different, but I stilled by soul and waited for him and leaned into him and Holy Spirit. am saved, but being saved and acting in freedom are two different things. God healed me of my addictions one night when I called out to him in fear of the evil forces at work in my life. As time went on, I figured out what had happened and immediately gave my life to Christ. I wish I could say I never did those awful things again, but I did. It wasn't apart of my addiction, I just could not seem to forget my past. There would be moments I would give in.
Now, almost 6 months later, I have simply come to the conclusion that the one moment of pleasure I feel when I committed those sins was just not worth losing the opportunity to be with Jesus, to love on Jesus and to be loved by Jesus. hey men, I had that kind of problem and we can do anything, you can just pray yourself with all your heart, then my God will give you all that you need, in my case I had to wait to much time, but then it was, and it is amazing, Idont need that, that destroy your brain and your espiritually, But it is only God who moves everything, just believe and then you wiil see.
Keep your focus on God and when hard moments come, like the song says, be still and refocus your mind on God. There is nothing, not even addictions, nothing that can defeat out God. We win, end of story. It is not really a matter of oh i messed up but he will always forgive me, which is true, his grace is more than we can imagine, but we need to make a conscious decision to follow Christ. We must become a new kind of slave, A slave to God. I recommend you read Romans chapters 6-8.
