For anybody confused - Kacey Musgraves was one of the three people who wrote the song, and Miranda Lambert was the one who recorded it. She said once in an interview that once she heard the song, she knew it was special and that she wished she had been the one to write it.
I love Miranda and her version but I love the fact that Kacey still plays the song the way she does
She’s humble, beautiful inside and out and not afraid to be herself. The way she writes her songs makes me feel like she’s giving me life lessons, taking me back to what’s right and wrong. And that it’s okay to say “fuck it” every now and then. Builds character.

I prefer the acoustic version, but this still has a similar feel.

She sold the recording rights only; can play it live. Sold it so she could pay writers like Shane McAnnally to help write her first 2 hit albums. I think she made out ok….it was brilliant.

miranda's version seems to have more tension but it was produced with a good budget.

This is how she wrote the song Mirandas version is great but it only sound different because of producers...she wrote this and how dare you say you've heard better karaoke than this lol she has the voice of an Angel...I am glad Miranda recorded it and put it out but I'm so glad she still plays the song the way she wrote it
