- Jim Fielder grew up in a JW home and was with them for over 60 years, being totally immersed in all of their activities from a very young age. He eventually married and had 4 children, all involved with the JWs. A few years ago he started to visit a Christian bookshop looking for books to find illustrations for his talks he was doing - but always made sure there were no other JWs around watching before going in!

I was a Jehovah's witness for 40 years, I was in the same congregation as Jim. After seeing what happened ( is happening) to him, simply because in conscience he has a different type of faith, I quit meetings and haven't been back since this happened. Incidentally the loving shepherd's who for 40 years told us they love us would die for the flock, well they haven't been to my home in over 6 years to enquire if I'm okay. I remain a good friend of the only spiritual man from among them, Jim.

I find all that time wasted as a make-believe JW. What a shame. If dedicated and baptized JWs choose to leave that is their choice. We cannot will, our way into heaven. We are all free agents, and the true God is not going to put out a stop sign or change our heart condition. Either our heart is in it, or it isn't. (Matthew 13:1-7) On that day Jesus left the house and was sitting by the sea. 2 And such large crowds gathered to him that he went aboard a boat and sat down, and all the crowd was standing on the beach. 3 Then he told them many things by illustrations, saying: “Look! A sower went out to sow. 4 As he was sowing, some seeds fell alongside the road, and the birds came and ate them up. 5 Others fell on rocky ground where there was not much soil, and they immediately sprang up because the soil was not deep. 6 But when the sun rose, they were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7 Others fell among the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked them.

*I was a Witness for over 40 years. Initially, I was the only one who God awoke and adopted. Wife and daughter remained and I was crushed. We remained a family oddly enough. But little by little, my wife came to see a "new" me and how Jesus transformed me from a very bad Jehovah's Witness, to a good Christian/husband. My light was shinning and by God's grace, she stopped being a Witness with our daughter following. All that is left is for them to accept Jesus. I've prayed every single day since leaving for God to open their eyes. Indeed he has and continues to do so. Just a matter of time before they are born again.*
This man did not convince himself that where He was at was the correct way and NOT DOING ON OUR OWN ! ONE COULD BE MISLED VERY EASILY AWAY AND THINKING THAT ONE IS DOING IT RIGHT !

Spirit medium Johannes Greber. This man received messages from demonic entities pretending to be angels. Just guess who adopted those teachings? That's right, the Jehovah's Witness Organization. So, what were those teachings? Here you go:*
*1. That Jesus is "a god" and not "God" as John 1:1 says.*
*2. That God somehow prohibited himself from knowing Satan would rebel and fool Adam and Eve into sinning.* (God cannot not do this because foreknowledge is inherent to his nature. See 1 Samuel 23:8-14)*
*3. That God is NOT omnipresent.*
*4. That Jesus resurrected with a spirit body and not his human body. (P.S. The whole reason for the resurrection hope)*

After being a JW for 34 years the scripture that the Holy Spirit used to remove me from the WT organization and bring me to Jesus was
Ephesians 2:8-9. ASV
for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, that no man should glory.
Isn’t God’s loving Grace breathtaking, awesome and so much more. My words cannot express His loving Grace. It is powerful, it breaks the chains of bondage. Jim experience of being drawn to Jesus reminds me of mine in many ways. Thank you for sharing. 🙂💞

This Saturday, the Lord woke me up in the Spirit saying “BY WHOSE NAME ARE YOU SAVED, GLORIFY HIM” He allowed me to feel His pain towards the JW’s denial of Christ. I’m going to speak to them now, commissioned by THE Lord Christ Jesus. Thank you for this; I will show them this.
My husband reported me to elders. He was told not to be with me, eat a meal with me, sleep with me, sleep with me. I know. I understand. My brother told me I was dead, still am after all these many years. Very hard. Jesus was always with me and strengthened me. WT abandoned me. Like frightened rabbits. They run.
Two men and I had been involved in a ministry to JWs for about 5 years, in the 1990s. We heard many heartbreaking stories like yours. You have my deepest sympathies. One of the members of our group had four children, 2 became JWs. When my friend left the JWs those two children were afraid to be seen with him, lest they suffer for it. He even went to some of their major rallies, in the hope of seeing them, but they didn't want anything to do with him. Very hard to see the love God in people who treat even their own family like dirt. Of course, the JW is not from God, but a fraudulent, religious organization.
So sorry to hear that Christine ,but sooo glad that you are out and free to worship Jesus in Spirit and in Truth !!!
His love in real believers is unconditional and eternal !
( I have 2 sisters and a niece who joined this cult ,and I saw through this nonsense bc of all the crazy false predictions, unscriptural regulations,cruel shunning ,and cult barring of anything that is outside of jw culture.
I accepted Jesus as Lord at an early age in my life and the holy spirit has been faithful to guide me with wisdom through the holy spirit and amazing supernatural Godincidences.

The elders were wrong. They will be held responsible for their bad advise. 1st of all disfellowshipping was not a punishment but rather a disciplinary action/ As Christians we should always display love.
@@ronhansen8471The JW's take disfellowshipping to a whole other level by ostracizing individuals. They take scriptures out of context and assume that they mean to completely shun family members. This is why there are so many individuals in that organization who are conflicted and are also simultaneously too scared to speak their mind because of the fear of seeming disloyal to the organization and potentially being shunned by their friends and family. The JW's have way too much to lose, so they choose to just jump as high as the organization tells them too without question. The shunning provision is objectively a very unloving provision. Many psychologists will affirm this. You could even read an article if you Google search "The Silence of Shunning: A Conversation With Kipling William". Also, the JW's have no authoritative basis to even interpret the scriptures the way that they do. If he traced the lineage of the governing body members, it goes back to Charles Russell who failed the Deuteronomy 13 test multiple times.

I can absolutely see the light in Jim’s eyes and voice, as he now has a relationship with Christ. The very same way I felt when I found Christ 17 years after leaving JW’s. I broke down and wept as I no longer had the feeling of loneliness, that had been there all my life. Christ became so much more than a living breathing spirit but is actually in relationship with me.

Freedom in Christ Jesus
I was born Jehovah’s Witness , and on Aug 12th, 2021, I prayed to Jehovah letting him know how much this religion has hurt my heart. Since I was born I’ve been told that God was going to destroy all who were not witnesses. I couldn’t do it anymore I prayed to God letting him know all the damage this religion has done in my life....I told God that all I wanted was his love not paradise especially knowing all the non-witnesses that I loved were dead and I would gladly give my life in exchange for my children that are not witnesses. I told him I could no longer assist meetings because this religion is making me think badly of him. I remember yelling in my head how I couldn’t understand how a loving God could do this knowing our imperfections...I was sobbing, overwhelmed with grief when all of a sudden I had a thought of : I would never hurt anyone. I felt it down to my bones, I instantly calmed down and felt at peace. That night as I was laying down, my whole body started with intense waves of vibration, I started to sit up and it kept going, then I just had this knowing not be afraid and I just relaxed and immediately I started seeing all these lights and I was in a tunnel of light. I kept thinking if my husband turned around I was going to be sparkling! Then I was inside of this most amazing light that was filling me with so much love, fractals of light were coming towards me and all I could hear was I love you, you are loved over and over again. I felt all the pain and hate and hurt melt from my core, I was just floating there in unimaginable love and bliss, I remember being asked if I wanted to stay and I thought of my kids and then it just melted away and I was sitting in bed. I was drunk with Gods love for 2 weeks, I was healed from a full body skin illness I had been suffering for 3 years. I haven’t been back to any meetings since. Haven’t spoken to any elders about what happened just my mom and husband her reaction was not surprising, immediately told me to talk to an elder. I know they will say it was demonic, but how can a love so complete not be from something so pure? Because of this experience, I started researching and was blown away by THOUSANDS of accounts of others who have had this out of body experience called NDE or STE, I’m telling you it’s mind blowing how death has been held over us. Everyone says the same thing: God is not Judging us WE are!!! I still pray and feel Gods Holy Spirit with me something I had never felt in the Kingdom Hall! I just want others to know that God is not in the religious buildings/kingdom hall he is in our hearts everywhere we go, always. He does not give us the spirit of fear, anything in the Bible that causes fear is a misinterpretation. Jesus came to free us from the lies and it’s happening again, we are the new scrolls...the countless witnesses of how religions are a snare! Jesus said it was done! He didn’t say now we have to follow another religions rules to inherit the kingdom! My Father and I share the same will that ALL WILL BE SAVED!
You’re right.....God wants relationship and not religion. God’s love when experienced in that way is truly amazing 👍✝️
From Cult to Christ. Great interview. Jim has wrote 3 books which are very helpful for all but especially for those in or out of a cult. Praise to our God for a dear brother and friend.
I would love to know about the books. I had written a manuscript called: The Price of Paradise when I came out. It took me three years. But I was made to trash it or never see my JW brother again. I haven’t seen him anyway as I am “dead”. 😢

Great interview! Thank you Jim! I left JWs (my husband and I disassociated) in 1996 (and my husband was a former JW elder). You expressed so clearly my own journey towards a relationship with Christ. (I too snuck into a Christian bookstore and read secretly!) While none of our children became baptized JWs and they all left it as well, as adults they have issues in life that I believe come from being raised in that cult. It’s so sad and we pray for them continually.

Jim is a great chap and has been and is such a great help to us when we came out and continued to be so. I live just over an hours drive from him. He is such an encouragement to my wife and me. His books are providing comfort to us. Praise to our wonderful God. Blessings to you both.
I was raised JW. Although I was never baptized and managed to avoid it, my siblings were. They've been JWs for 40 yrs now. It's impossible to talk to them about it since they're all taught to ignore everything I say since I'm "worldly." It's a terrible organization that masks its abuse and fraud with a soft-spoken and friendly facade.
There is no point debating with people who have opposing views from the truth with no intentions of listening. It is like throwing your pearls before swine in a muddy pig pen. (Matthew 7:6)

Disfellowshiping and shunning is their weapon
I just now found y'all and I've subscribed. Y'all are so kind and about my age. I just turned 62 myself.
What I enjoy about y'all is the kindness y'all have. The lack of bitterness. I've been bitter for 20 years of being disfelloshiped and Finally got past it and am very forgiving for being shunned because my old friends love me and Only shun me because they see how much I suffer from being kicked out and realize they'll suffer like me if they dont shun me.
For 20 years I thought they hated me but finally realize they shun me only out of fear. I know they love me and would love to still hang out with me. I'm glad all the bitterness is out of my heart finally. I love them all.

Nine men in NEW YORK! I loved this Interview; doesn’t it seem ridiculous now? NEW YORK wise-guys to interpret the Bible! O.M.G.! Yes and I understand the “split” in personality: you’re supposed to be plastic-happy yet you’re not allowed to BE happy, right? I also had learned to be lonely. It was hard. In the 70’s, I recall JW ladies having “nervous breakdowns” yet not allowed counseling. The “counseling” came from elders. And it’s so true that snipets of Scripture were quoted through WT scope. Members, upon Disfellowshipping, often committed suicide. And YES! When I found out that “works” were not the Answer, I felt so much peace. So I wasn’t afraid to argue the No Blood Doctrine and a Xmas tree was ok, it didn’t make me a pagan, etc. Jesus entered my life and my children’s lives. I went into a Christian Bookstore and broke down and cried over a child’s STORY BOOK ABOUT A SMILING JESUS! I never SAW Jesus happy! What a Revelation! Of course I lost my home and marriage and everyone and everything, but Jesus has never left me. Why did we go through the WT at all? Maybe because there’s one person who will understand our stories. I recall also the emptiness of not partaking the Bread and Wine. Everything was so lonely and empty. The years of being alone, it wasn’t easy, pursuing Education and job skills, learning parenting skills without saying “this is not pleasing to Jehovah, you can’t do this, you can’t do that”...freedom in Christ Jesus is Life! And whatever happens, He is with you. That is Peace. Thank you for your story! ❤
Not giving Jesus Christ the full recognition that God himself did, was one of the reasons I too walked away.

I had a very close situation while in the service by myself, because I wore a beard and No one would work with me.
It was the first time I realized I could Talk to Jesus. I realized that if Jesus was in front of me in the Flesh I could speak with him
So since he's in heaven I could still speak with him..
Either way is Still a conversation.
But now I worship him and realize he's God . But he's not the angry Jehovah that wanted me to FEAR him.
Jesus is the person that I have loved and trusted since I was 8 years old. And now I'm 62

For Jim -- never apologize for being moved by something that is significant in your life. (25:28). When prisoners lose their chains, it tends to be an emotional moment. :)

I was a baby when my parents left Catholicism and became JWs and I was raised in it. Baptized at 19, I was disfellowshipped 3 times and got reinstated during Covid after my last stint which was 8 years. Last year I finally woke up to it all although things with them weren’t sitting right with me . I took a deep dive into it . I still believe in Christ but it’s all very difficult. I feel pretty numb if I’m honest . I’d like to feel that freedom you guys are talking about

Start by reading the book of John in another version...perhaps the NIV. Ask the holy spirit to lead you.
Read the book of Acts chapter 2 and believe what scripture says ....that Jesus sent the holy spirit to guide us all ,when he left this earth.
Do battle for you spirit with the word of God as your shield and ammunition against the lies have been rooted in you .
Stand on the word of God,by renewing your mind with Jesus words !
God has not given you a spirit of fear, but one of love ,power and a sound mind !
Jesus IS the good Shepherd who gives His life for the sheep . Jesus tells you that ...My sheep know me and hear my voice !
Drink from Him ,He is the living water ,the bread of Life,the gate ,the vine, the Alpha and the Omega ,the beginning and the end .
He is the great I am. !Thank and praise Him daily .
Do word studies.
Read All of the chapters carefully in the New Testament,not just a few verses as you've been taught . Read them all ...verse by verse .
You will find the light of the world and the wonderful gift of grace through faith in Jesus Christ .
Jesus spoke to me from His word when I didn't know Him, I was clueless.,but I was searching .
He spoke these words to me by His spirit when I was abducted in Adirondack Forest in NY. state at the age of 15.
He told me to look all around as I was surrounded by 40 ft.evergreens. then he said look up ....There is always light amidst the darkness .
His words ....
I am the light of the world, He who follows me will not walk in darkness ,but will have the light of life ! John 8:12.
He also spoke to me another time from scripture , before I ever read the Bible.
All of these phrases above are in scripture !
Allow Jesus to renew your mind and fill you with his spirit.

Ask the holy spirit to lead you to believers to share and to encourage you . They will love you with the love of Jesus !!
I can truly understand howvyou feel bc I was raised in the jw. And let me tell you. You can have that freedom. Begin with just a simple conversation with Jesus. Ask him to come and live in your heart. I promise you he will. Ask anyone who has confessed to Jesus and accepts him. It’s just. That simple Jesus died for our sins. He deserves our honest prayer for help. I promise you will see the change. God already hears your question he wants to give you peace. God bless you. Another thing I want to mention is that other UA-cam channels that are bitter, I TOTALLY understand your feelings. We've all been through Hell and we ALL deserve to have our feelings, whether super kind and happy or Pissed the Hell off! That's our right from any and all the devers abuses we've had put apon us. We have the right to be content and we have the right to feel hurt and or pissed!

So true! Thank you! Sometimes I feel pissed off still, other times sarcastic, other times forgiving and merciful and concerned. In the 70’s, we had no support. I am old now but just beginning to heal, though Jesus has seen me through this maze and exit out. The podcasts have truly helped me. I always felt I was alone. Thank you for your understanding. ❤

Jehovah witnesses and Mormons are easy to spot, I call super cults , clearly a cult to anyone who knows the truth. Seventh day Adventists are more culvert as are the church of Christ but they to are preaching a false gospel. Now all 4 19th century American cults say they are the true church, and none of them are. Jesus said to the disciples that in the last days MANY would come in His name and decieve many. Just like JESUS is a transliteration of the Greek translation of the name of the son of God. The Father's name was never translated to English. Jehovah is no ones name. The Hebrew jewish people wrote YHWH as Gods name was translated to LORD or adoni and some English translator took YHWH and adoni and came up with yehovah there wasn't a J in original English. Now Jewish Hebrew scholars say the spelling and pronunciation of God the Father's name was closer to Yahweh if not an actual pronunciation of YHWH , so Jehovah's witnesses make a big deal out of a name that was never actually translated to English anyway. So stupid. Bottom line is JESUS/YESHUA is LORD and the LORD is GOD period

I was a baptised in 1984, but woke up 10 years ago after years of cognitive dissonance, getting into trouble for questioning the teachings that were not scriptural or could not be proved by scripture. Till one day a judicial committee was being formed against me for causing division in the congregation and not following the governing bodies direction as the spokes person for God. I refused to jump through any more of their hoops, did not respond to their invitation to meet with the elders at the Kingdom hall and just left. Best thing I ever did ,now I have a healthy spiritual routine and experience the light load and the kindly yoke of Christ.

Then Rutherford was a crazy one. I reject most of his teaching. I think the JW's are on a path of destruction because they will soon have to give up completely 1914. hundreds of millions in csa lawsuits, shunning practices are being challenged by governments around the world with huge financial realities for the organization. I think this takeover of the governing body becoming the only Faithful Slave instead of all anointed ones and putting themselves on television for the who world to see has destroyed their credibility.

The writing department at Watchtower have made a Liar of their god, the "Sovereign Lord Jehovah," who cannot keep or perform "his" word.
There is a term for this practice, it called "Replacement Theology"; Watchtower swapped out Christ the "Lord God," For the "Sovereign Lord Jehovah," and wrote him into the coming of Christ and the judgement.
Of course, nothing like this can be found in scripture.

I understand your pain..I lost my sister to WT. Last time I visited a Kingdom Hall. As we were leaving a van pulled up and a man placed a wreath near the entrance. I said, "What is that for,he said it represents the death of all the families that WT had tore apart by the shunning. Not long after that I got out for good. But I lost my sister and she is shunning me now. I told her that I would do the shunning toward them that I went back to Jesus and it was wonderful the day I participated in the eating the bread and the wine in remembrance of my lord Jesus christ.

I will never understand why some people think that ministers or anyone else in the hierarchy of a religious organization actually knows anything about God. I have no knowledge of God, so I don't accept that other people have any knowledge of God either. They can claim that they believe certain things about God, but there is no way they can claim to have knowledge of God. That is impossible.
Your logic is flawed. Just because you don’t believe in or experience something (or somebody), does not mean that those beliefs or experiences are not OBJECTIVELY true. Jesus can certainly be experienced, but only true NEW BIRTH, as in the Gospel of John chapter 3. Every true Christian knows Jesus personally, not just some ‘head knowledge’ about him. Except that there was no Roman Catholic church from the very beginning. It was created later by man. Did you know that most JWs come from a RC background? They have simply traded one religious authority for another. Yet Christ is the primary authority. Not the Pope and especially not the current one.
After the catholics got it and changed it to be more pleasing and acceptable to the pagan faith. Christianity became divided into these fractions or division based on people's interpretation and disagreement with the church.
So what we practice now is not the true faith taught by Jesus, his apostles, and those first century Christians.
But if we stay close to the bible and work on our personal relationship with God as taught there we can get attain salvation. But if you listen to these man made religions you could get lost and lose your salvation.

Then Constantine corrupted the ekklesia…..and God once again called his people out!
Then after God used Martin Luther, Lutherism corrupted and God once again called his people out. This cycle of calling out…. Corrupting….then calling out again has happened right through history up until today.
Any Christian religion/denomination that has a head other than Christ is of the order of Babylon. King nebuchadnezar was the head of gold of that order.

M,M,L, and John were written in that order, we don't know who wrote them, and they were written 20-25 years apart. Matthew much later than when the events happened (so word of mouth). With each iteration of the 4 letters the stories became more fantastic until finally they decided they had what they needed with John. So how can we say these were inspired especially with the inconsistences with the 4 letters and the 100 years it took to write them. With all this we have to blindly accept these letters written by men. God couldn't have "inspired" something that lets us know god wrote it. All he needed to do was talk about the speed of light for example - but nothing but confusing words. All we get from god are letters that people have killed each other over and over through the centuries. 2000+ years we are still arguing over this nonsense. In the end we get false promises that are never delivered. Just a promise "some day" you will get "place your preference here". Stop wasting your time on these ancient memes.

It took 300 years to ratify the NT, 300 years. There is the lie that Isaiah found in the Dead Sea scrolls matches Christian texts. The Book of Enoch was found in the scrolls also. Why don't we read that?. There is a Revelation of Peter with 100's of other letters that didn't make the cut, why don't we read Peters Revelation? You can't cherry pick scriptures in Revelation unless you can interpret the whole letter and nobody can. God created a confusing book that people just argue and kill each other over? Old bibles use 616 vs 666, are you scared of 616 also? Jesus never said he is god but still we have the nutty trinity. We are brainwashed there is a burning hell (to keep people in fear) but yet god never told Adam and Eve about hell. Jesus taught the gospel of the Kingdom of God here on earth. The meek will inherit the earth. The dead know nothing. No where in the bible does it say we go to heaven. Jesus is returning to earth and is bringing resurrection to the dead who died knowing Jesus and his Father, our God. Jesus will reign for 1000 years. Then the rest of the dead will be resurrected and death will be wiped out and Jesus will give reign back over to his Father, our God.

All the ‘I Am’ statements of Jesus in the Gospel of John show that Jesus was God. He used the term in Greek ‘Ego eimi’ which is the same term that God used to Moses in the burning bush passage in Exodus 3:14. He also used the same term in speaking to the Jews in John 8:58, saying that he met Abraham. This fact can be verified by the account in Genesis 18, where Abraham had an encounter with the pre-incarnate Jesus. Initially there were 3 men, eating with Abraham and Sarah, and then 2 depart to Sodom where they are later described as the 2 angels which the homosexual men of Sodom wanted to defile. The other man stayed with Abraham and he bargained with him to spare Sodom. This was Jesus (Immanuel/God with us).

Exodus 6:3 doesn't say We appeared unto Abraham, Issac, and Jacob as God Almighty but by our names did they not know us. It says "I appeared unto Abraham, Issac, and Jacob as God Almighty but by my name Jehovah was I not known." That's God Almighty. So what point did I miss?? Don't get me wrong. I'm not a Jehovah's Witness nor do I care about their organization. But they pretty much have who God Almighty is down. And it's not three are one or Jesus. So what point did I miss??
@michelleramos2541 And if they left the Jehovah's Witnesses to join another church that doesn't teach you that Jehovah is God but rather Jesus is God then they've joined the wrong church because Jesus isn't God Almighty. Period. The Bible is very clear about that. Those churches who teach that Jesus is God don't know the Bible at all. So, did I really miss the point. Because Jesus told us who to worship and serve at Matthew 4:10 and were to worship and serve that LORD alone. Not three are one or Jesus himself. Because if that's who you believe God is then you've missed my point all together.

The ancient men of Israel did not feel they should pronounce the Hebrew of God's name (YHWH) as they felt it was too sacred, so they used the word "Adonai" which means "Lord" and took the vowels from that and inserted them in between YHWH making Y(A)H(O)W(A)H- Yahowah or JEHOVAH as is used now. The point is about focusing on Jesus because JWs always put Jesus on the back seat. I was a JW for 25 years and was very active in that thing until I too realised I knew nothing of Jesus and Jesus' way is not even followed. Jesus said he is the way, the TRUTH, and the life and that no one can come to the Father except through HIM (Jesus). So to be honest, by following Jesus we get through to God.
