I like the Chinese names much more....
I think I watched this once before with the original names and it keeps throwing me off to see these weird English names on the subtitles.
Yeah, not just the names, but a lot of stuff is miss labeled, not just names. 🤣🤣 it’s a guessing game to see if I know who is who and how they are related or not related. Even their names change half way through then go back to the original translation. It’s a guessing game! But I still watch🧐🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Oh, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for putting this one up! I found it on two other channels before and both deleted it. I was so sad! 😭 I kid not, my heart froze for a second when I saw it pop up in recommendations. 😅 I super love this one! ❤ My very favorite among the modern dramas (as opposed to fantasy/historical)! I almost wish it was longer, but then again, quit while you're ahead, right? 😉 (I mean, it *would* have been nice to see the ending more fleshed out.) Not only were the main characters married before sleeping together, but neither one was drunk or drugged! A very rare combination in these dramas, unfortunately. And I just have to say, the "sleeping with a drugged person" bit is SO wrong (it's basically taking the choice away from the person, if it puts them into such a desperate state as is depicted in many of these dramas. Horrifying if there really are drugs like that), even when married, unless, probably, that part of a couple's relationship has already been established.
Anyway. There's no goal on the SFL's part to steal Zong Zhengyue (ML character's real name according to the other uploads), no dictator "family" members trying to force them to divorce. (Well, none of them even knew about the marriage, lol.) Of course Shen Changge (FL character's real name) did bring it up a few times, but thankfully he didn't want to. "My family only allows widowhood, never divorce." 👏 Violence is at a minimum, at least compared to many of these dramas. 😮 Love the "blind date." 😂 Glad he let his grandmother know that he would only get married because he wanted to and not for business. 👍 Him giving away the picture to her friend, lol. ("I'm right here and you're thinking about other men?" 😒 No kidding.) That poor assistant having to make off with an old lady's cat. And the ladle scene! 😂 The only thing I'll say is that I never really felt she became anywhere near as attached to him as he seemed to be to her...I love both characters, but he is definitely my favorite. Despite barely knowing each other, and honestly without much incentive from her (guy was really trying, but she hardly responded at all 😂), he just jumped right in and never wavered in his commitment to her, which is a big positive. 👍 Characters (and real people...) taking marriage seriously is something I personally really appreciate. But, at least she was one FL who didn't freak out upon learning the ML's "true identity." She was just happy to be rich, lol. Also good that she didn't just find out accidentally, he planned a sweet way to let her know. 😊 Though to be honest, I'm not completely sure why he felt he had to hide anything in this one. Usually the reason is either that the FL hates rich people or that the ML isn't sure she can be trusted. Obviously the former is not an issue here, and there was never any indication that he was worried about the latter possibility.
What in the world is that twirling thing she does with the bottle? I never saw anyone do that before. 😅 I'm not sure why she thought he was going to jump, he looked like he was...searching for signal. 😅 Lol! at her pushing him into the bushes and him pulling his hood up, as if that would hide the rest of him. 😂 44:24 dude looks like he's about to crack up. 😅 I was wondering if the translation around 8:00 is quite accurate? I mean, I'm no expert. 😅 But I did copy out the Chinese characters before and used a translator that said it meant something like, "You don't just divorce her." Which seems a little more in line with how he acts from then on than this translation. (But again, I don't know for real.) It was funny that the lady in the Civil Affairs Bureau seemed to be on his side! 😅
All right, sorry for all the detail. 😁 Seriously, this one makes me happy. 😄 The only complaint I have here is the switching out of the Chinese names for English ones. It isn't necessary and is actually kind of jarring. I mean, we can even hear that they are not using English names. 😅 Thankfully, the whole thing isn't dubbed in English, as that's even more painful! 😝 I can't even stand to have the sound on for those ones.

I really love how the minute she brought up divorce (the same day they married) he was already thinking of ways to make her fall in love with him for real. ML was awesome from start to finish.
Amazing drama and not much violence which is good so it makes it more enjoyable to watch . The ML and FL are so cute also❤️❤️

I enjoyed this movie. All the cast performed admirable. Not too much violence. Not overly happy concerning the way Mr Green was dealt with but he did deserve some form of punishment. Still having problems with the subtitles regarding the FL's name changing.
This was a really really good one! 10 out of 10 and I love that they translated the text messages too 😊

Nice to see this actor dressed down for once; it makes him look younger and less severe. Cute drama though. Nothing too annoying although it was weird that their Chinese names were substituted with English ones. BUT at least they were translated consistently so you knew who they were talking about as well as the pronoun/gender thing wasn't an issue. Good translation - it was consistent & understandable. I get tired of some sentences (usually the most important ones) going missing and calling 'his wife' 'her wife', etc. Also great to see FL happy about ML being rich - which any girl in her right mind would - instead of getting angry about his deception.

In so many of these movies, the FL ends up marrying a super rich ML but he gives her a tiny wedding ring. Why would a guy worth hundreds of millions give a woman he loves and wants to be his wife, a tiny wedding ring? Of course, the story is about love but a super rich guy is giving his wife a huge ring. And fake rings are cheap. They look real enough for the few seconds they’re on screen.

There is a fine line between comedy and corny and this falls on the corny side, I've yet to even crack a smile when they try to go for comedy not funny at all.

A cute little drama which I enjoyed though the push & pull to the last minute was a bit tiresome, the obvious fake kisses are a passion killer & why do these dramas always have a split second ending followed by the next video clips blocking out the screen it's frustrating but overall it was a fun watch ❤
