    Don't forget to Install the DRAIN HOSE! This is how the condensation from the heat pump is filtered out. It is located on the backside, middle, at the very bottom. Do not confuse it with the valve on the right that points straight up.
    Space-saving ventless design means it can be installed virtually anywhere. No detail was overlooked in this dryer's sleek, modern style. The flat front design with a choice of black steel, graphite steel or white finish and tinted, tempered glass door brings a premium point of view to your laundry space. All you need to install is a drain for the drain hose and a 240 V outlet.

    My new home has a 4 wire plug 30A. My Heat Pump Dryer uses a lot less than the standard dryer. Can I use the 30A circuit or does the fuse need to be lowered as the dryer uses less (240v and 10A is what is recommended for my dryer).

    Can you provide the diameter of the drain hose? The one included looks like it will not reach my standpipe, and I need to get an extension.

    Does the drain have a pump? My waste line is in the middle of the wall, and not the floor. Thanks!

    How much clearance does there need to be behind the dryer if it's NOT in an enclosed space? I'm installing tomorrow but the manual only states a minimum of 5 inches if it's enclosed.

    • @LGUSASupport
      @LGUSASupport  Місяць тому +1

      Hi there! If the dryer is not installed in an enclosed space, the minimum clearance required behind the dryer is typically 4 inches.
      The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) code states that clothes dryer exhaust ducts must be installed with a clearance of at least 6 inches from adjacent combustible material. However, this requirement is specifically for enclosed spaces like alcoves or closets.
      Most manufacturers recommend a minimum clearance of 4 inches behind dryers installed in open areas without enclosures for proper air circulation and ventilation. This allows sufficient space for the dryer vent connection and airflow.
      So, in your case, where the dryer is not being installed in an enclosed space, a minimum clearance of 4 inches behind the dryer should be sufficient unless your specific model's installation instructions state otherwise.
      Let me know if there's anything else we can help with! -Ken

    What if your washer is on one side of the closet snf your dryer is on the opposite side?

    • @LGUSASupport
      @LGUSASupport  16 днів тому

      Yes, you can place your LG washer and dryer on opposite sides of a closet or laundry room, but there are some important considerations, such as space and clearance, utility connections, and dryer venting. -Charles

    ThT valve where you say "do not install the hose here", what is it? I got this last week and it's dumping all the water out of that part instead of the hose. I see yours has a cap. Mine does not. Lg didn't know what it was, but they're coming to inspect Tuesday. This is so frustrating.

      @lanternafilm yes! We found the issue. When home depot installed my machine, they removed the cap from the valve where he said "don't install here". LG overnighted me two caps and I ran two loads of laundry today and it worked perfectly!

      @@LGUSASupport I'm referring to 0:28 of this video where it says "this is where we will NOT install the drain hose". What is that for? Our technician just installed the external drain hose into that today.

      The best part about it is it keeps your clothes in good condition longer, although dry times are sometimes double.
