If they're playing at different points, they aren't set up properly. They're supposed to be linked together as one super cabinet, anywhere from 1-8 cabs.
Man, I was too late into Sega Saturn but somehow in 2001 I got this CDRom consists of AM2 games like this one, Virtual Fighter, Virtua Cop etc etc. Those were the days indeed.
i got my sega saturn on christmas 1996. me and my brother played it all night. it came with daytona USA, Virtua Cop, Virtua Fighter 2, and the Two demos (Nights and Sega Rally). I was in the 6th grade and i was so siked. :( miss those days.
Oh man, nostalgia rush. This used to be the main game at the arcades I went to when I was 6-7... and no matter where you went in the building, if you listened hard you could always hear "DAA-EEE-TOHNNNAAAA.... LET'S GO AWAY!"
Me and my dad a sega saturn when I was little as well. We played virtue cop, virtue fighter, fighters megamix, and other cool games. Those were the times
Hey for those who dislike this version heres a little info. At least SEGA tried to at least put epic games like this in the 90s on consoles at the time...
Back when I was a kid, I thought the lyrics to this song were "Same old car! It's rollin'! It's rollin'!" I eventually figured out that it was saying "Daytona" and not "Same old car", but I couldn't figure out what I was mishearing as "it's rollin'" so I found this on youtube and now I know.
We were in the arcade section of a theater, waiting for a movie to start, and this game was in the arcade and kept playing this intro over and over... the "DAYYYTONAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" really started to get on our nerves...
i remember tht guy...everytime i walked in the arcade thats the first thing i fuckin heard...Daaaaayyyyyyttttttooooonnnnnnaaaaaaa! and i also heard the guy from the time Crisis machines saying "READY, ACTION!
I prefer the Dreamcast version. No clipping whatsoever, a higher resolution, more detail, and if you emulate it with nullDC you can also play it in stereoscopic 3D!
Daytonerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr daytonerrrr lets go weweeh Daytonerrrrrrrrrrrrrroooooooooo daytonerrrrrrr let go weweeh Daytonerrrrrrrrrrrrr We he. We a he. We he. We he.
As a Saturn fan for the last 15 years I feel I can comment that I hated this game and back then it prompted me to go out and buy a Playstation (I went back to Saturn not long after though) this played well but the graphics were too crap to win me over - not a lot of people knew how to do a 60Hz switch on a UK Saturn back then and the borders on the PAL version were unforgiveable. Luckily (we won't mention Daytona CCE) the genre was completely redeemed with the Dreamcast version. Easy on me guys!
Probably one of the few occasions in which the Saturn version of a game is significantly superior to the Dreamcast one. Why, you ask? Because the Saturn version's controls aren't awful!
I dunno why, and I'll probably get negatives for this comment... but for some reason... I want this version of the song.... it DID annoy my cousin, but I want it. Hard to find though. D:
Doot do do doot do do dudoooooot DAYYYY-TO-NAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH let's go awayyy OHHHHHHHHHHHHH DAY "we eat...we can't eat....we eat....we eat... DAYTONAAAAAAA!" OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
There's this arcade place in my town, where they have like 4 of these screaming DAYTONAAAAAAA at different rates all day
If they're playing at different points, they aren't set up properly. They're supposed to be linked together as one super cabinet, anywhere from 1-8 cabs.
Yooooo....this takes me alllll the way back. My brother and I played the hell outta this, Virtua Fighter, and Virtua Cop. Man, those were the days.
Me and my brother did too! Y'all sound like some real niggas!
Me and my 3 brothers as well back when we lived in the projects
Man, I was too late into Sega Saturn but somehow in 2001 I got this CDRom consists of AM2 games like this one, Virtual Fighter, Virtua Cop etc etc. Those were the days indeed.
Same exact games with my brother , and I would watch him play Tomb Raider
i got my sega saturn on christmas 1996. me and my brother played it all night. it came with daytona USA, Virtua Cop, Virtua Fighter 2, and the Two demos (Nights and Sega Rally). I was in the 6th grade and i was so siked. :( miss those days.
When I first walked past a Daytona machine when I was little, I thought "OMG this is so awesome. Games are getting so advanced!"
Heck yeah! Now here we are seeing games about to start using Unreal Engine 5!
Oh man, nostalgia rush. This used to be the main game at the arcades I went to when I was 6-7... and no matter where you went in the building, if you listened hard you could always hear "DAA-EEE-TOHNNNAAAA.... LET'S GO AWAY!"
In my memory, this song was way more enjoyable to hear.
Is it because of the way e
You probably recognize the arcade version which was much less bit crunched. The original composer has a full version with him singing on youtube
Me and my dad a sega saturn when I was little as well. We played virtue cop, virtue fighter, fighters megamix, and other cool games. Those were the times
Gentleman! Start your Engines!!!
DJSphinx82 sorry to say dis it's a joke
das sexist
AS A KID, I SANG THIS SONG BLOCKING MY NOSE WITH MY FINGERS, to have the same voice ! :))
This was a phenomenal driving game back in the day
Had a Sega Saturn with this game when I was a kid. I remember there was some kind of cheat in which you could race a horse.
Yes it was if you went on to the field with the horses on the expert track you could play as a horse
Played this once in an arcade. Loved it.
who can forget.. "ROLLING STAAAAART..." :)
nice refrence bro
I have been brain whashed with this song it will always be in my brain for the rest of my life DAYTOONNAA !
One of if not THE best SEGA racing game(s) ever made
I jam to this in my car! Never forget this game! :D
Gotta get this as my ring tone.
Old School
Loved the Sega games.
I'm glad everyone played this classic c:
DAYTONNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
Pure Awesomeness!
Hey for those who dislike this version heres a little info. At least SEGA tried to at least put epic games like this in the 90s on consoles at the time...
*DAYTONAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA*
Shit this brings back memories... I remember writing the AM2 palm on everything when I got the chance...... sigh...
sega always knows how to rip out some of the best video game music to just put a dumb grin on your face and this is without a doubt no exception :)
awh, i miss the old days.
Somehow this sounded better than the one I've heard on the arcades...
Yeah the arcades didn't use CD's so the quality isn't as good as the Saturn
Best video game intro of all time.
Day-eeee-tone-uhhhh!!!! Freaking amazing simulated vocals on this.
They're not simulated vocals, they're sung.
Back when I was a kid, I thought the lyrics to this song were "Same old car! It's rollin'! It's rollin'!"
I eventually figured out that it was saying "Daytona" and not "Same old car", but I couldn't figure out what I was mishearing as "it's rollin'" so I found this on youtube and now I know.
11/10/1996
i played this
is soo... NOSTALGIC
I've never been this excited about Daytona....
this could be the new rickroll
You have inspired me sir. I shall try the same thing now.
BETTY BONE-AHHHH LETS GO AWAY! lets go away BETTY BONE-AHHHHHH
Hi Mario lol
I used to think it said Eddie bone ahh lol
Christmas 1995 I got a sega saturn that came with a cd that had this game and virtua cop.
lol good synchro guys !
Cool remake :D
This was one of my favorite computer games! I have this disc somewhere, idk where tho
La révolution en 3D en avance, quelle époque :)
I remember this song since the first time before 12-13 years I played this game for the first time.
We were in the arcade section of a theater, waiting for a movie to start, and this game was in the arcade and kept playing this intro over and over... the "DAYYYTONAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" really started to get on our nerves...
God you would pray it be you and 3 others behind the wheel to race or one seat left and they not playing yet! Memories…..
@OriginalName90 I've done that too, and it does help a bit, but not by enough, I feel.
lol i just came across that old penny arcade comic and looked up this song on youtube cuz i didnt remember what it sounded like
Nostalgia!
i remember tht guy...everytime i walked in the arcade thats the first thing i fuckin heard...Daaaaayyyyyyttttttooooonnnnnnaaaaaaa! and i also heard the guy from the time Crisis machines saying "READY, ACTION!
Im gonna buy a Saturn with this game this Christmas
I think this was re-released for 360 and PS3. The graphics didn't change, but the draw distance was increased and it now runs at 60FPS.
I prefer the Dreamcast version. No clipping whatsoever, a higher resolution, more detail, and if you emulate it with nullDC you can also play it in stereoscopic 3D!
NEEDS MOAR DAYYYTOOOOONAAAAAA
This reminds me of making fun of my cousin!
Awesome!
Good times on my sega saturn with this game lol
The soundtrack to this game is fucking legenday lol
@Tryzon I actually found it very playable once you go into the options and mess with the sensitivity.
ERIOOOONDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Good quality!
ahhh, back when games were fun!
@Tryzon Understandable. Haha, I grew up with Daytona USA CCE, so I'm used to inaccurate Daytona experiences.
I don't see how Sega Allstars RACING did not add THIS to the game! And it IS Racing already! ):
Daytonerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr daytonerrrr lets go weweeh
Daytonerrrrrrrrrrrrrroooooooooo daytonerrrrrrr let go weweeh
Daytonerrrrrrrrrrrrr
We he. We a he. We he. We he.
DAYTOOONNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Epic times.
when my local retro store played this song lol
Aaaah, the Saturn version, at a glorious 15 FPS! 😂
I have the ARCADE Set up at my place in Daytona LOL.
Classic gaming days lol
Viva la 90's gaming!
DAYTOOOOOOONNNNAAAAAAA
DAYYY TOOOONAAAAAAAAAA
As a Saturn fan for the last 15 years I feel I can comment that I hated this game and back then it prompted me to go out and buy a Playstation (I went back to Saturn not long after though) this played well but the graphics were too crap to win me over - not a lot of people knew how to do a 60Hz switch on a UK Saturn back then and the borders on the PAL version were unforgiveable. same here, and I prefer the Saturn version over the Dreamcast version.
You are then obliged to tear his heart out.
Probably one of the few occasions in which the Saturn version of a game is significantly superior to the Dreamcast one. Why, you ask? Because the Saturn version's controls aren't awful!
Classic!!
DAYTOOONNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA !!!
DAAAAAAAYTONAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
Never used a DC emulator, but with standard controllers the Saturn version just handles better imo. The DC version plays best with a steering wheel :)
DAYYYTOOOOOOOONAAAAAA
LO MEJOR
Who still watching this in 2023? :D
i still play at the game :)
2023 🙋🙋🙋
Andrienne says (03:27):
I've had that goddam daytona song stuck in my head for about 18 hours
me and my family used to crack up at this song... and "blue, blue skies"
D A E ONAAAAAAAAAA
RES GO AWAE
RES GO AWAE
Don't make me tear your heart out.
It reminds me of virtua racing...
Instead of showing the 4 view buttons, this attract movie instead shows the Top 20 course times.
this version plays alot better than CCE
Even with this graphic
The game satisfy me
100x times than gran turismo 7
DAYHEEEEETOOOOOONAAAAAAAAAAA
DAAA EEE TONN NAAA
2023?
I dunno why, and I'll probably get negatives for this comment... but for some reason... I want this version of the song.... it DID annoy my cousin, but I want it. Hard to find though. D:
