They're two very different bands, but this album gives me the same kind of vibe as the Pixies' "Purple Tape". Very raw sounding. And weird. I love weird.
This album is just a demo compilation, but it still gives some weird vibes. Lack fo arrangement, awful mixing and recording makes it sound so eerie. Some of the tracks just sound like panic attacks. I know, it's a cliche thing to say in 2020, the age of such internet phenomenons as liminal spaces and stuff like that, but this album really feels weirdly nostalgic for no reason. Having mixed feelings after listening to this record. And yeah, the album cover doesn't help at all. What is this, a methed out mickey mouse?
Really distorted and compresses sounding. Nothing wrong with that, and I like rock that has that gravel to it. But I feel like this is a bit heavy for sound quality. OK album tho

The quality of the first song sounds heavily influenced by Ty Segall’s first self titled record
lol
Is this 34 reasons?
ua-cam.com/video/r-bTs79Ovr4/v-deo.html - THIS is 34 reasons. Zorks tape is just a collection of John's demos.
