I agree. But I don’t use any plastic; just the shower curtain cloth without the inner lining. It’s perfectly waterproof, dries quickly, and doesn’t get moldy. (I throw it in the wash machine every few months but that’s probably not needed.). Plus, you can make the rod bend out as far as you want for lots of room in the shower. Great idea!

You won't have room to take a bath with a solid enclosure. Someone is going to hurt themselves either going in or out of the tub. A curtain is a soft entrance to and from. Plus, you can create something beautiful and change it with the holidays.

Both B and C will make giving Luce a bath extremely difficult. I put in a glass enclosure and instantly regretted it, and my area was bigger than yours. Try a clear shower curtain first and see how it works. It's cheap and you can try out the functionality and the look first.

You can also add small magners (2-3) attached to the inside of the shower curtain near the top of the tub. Ttach with clear tape and that will keep the curtain from wrappibg around your legs while you shower. That buys you plenty if time to make a permanent decision! Have fun!!
There are curved shower rods that gives you more room while showering. You could install it very high so it wouldn’t hide the beautiful copper rods/shower and pull it to the side with a decorative copper chain. Once you finish the shower room ,it will be minimal to repair the walls And won’t damage your tub ..❤❤love your channel
I vote for option A...installing a shower curtain with a rounded rod on top...it will be easier giving Luce a bath and I think by enclosing the tub area will make the room look smaller. This would be the most cost effective at this time and if you later want to install the box after Luce is a bit older and able to bathe herself would be better....just a thought but of course it is totally up to you both! We all wish Luce a Happy and Healthful 2nd birthday. How the time flies, your beautiful daughter is now two years old and growing so very fast. The shower and sink came out perfect. I sprayed our old tub with a 2 part epoxy after sanding and the finish was lovely. We are all praying for Luca's health. Thank you all three for making our Sunday complete.
Last week I felt very defeated for you facing the water damage and bathroom leaks. I am so happy to see that these problems are being solved. About the shower: get a curtain and a spring form rod until you can implement your other ideas. They are not expensive, and will keep the water off of the floor. I AGREE! Get an inexpensive shower curtain, they even make them smaller for RVs, with magnets to make it stick the the sides of the tub and curved shower curtain rod so it holds it away from your body. Then think about the other options for a while.
I suggest a shower curtain. If you stand sideways the curtain does not stick to you and you have enough to do without wiping down an enclosure. It will serve you well until you have the shower room. The tub and sink look very good and all the pipe work is great. Well done you two and with a toddler to look after.
I agree! Also re: shower curtain- there are rods that bow out a little so that it helps the curtain sticking to you. Maybe even make it with copper?! Then you can leave the curtain open to the left side and show off all that beautiful work when it's not in use!

Yes, a copper pipe shower curtain rod and a fabric curtain, that once it is dry can be held back on the left by a copper curtain hold back. I wouldn’t do anything permanent with glass enclosure it would close it in and have to be squeegeed every time you shower to avoid water spots and soap build up. Love your exposed copper piping. Pls. just put up a rod and make a curtain of light color or white to go with the tile. It will keep the room light and allow for more air flow to dry the room. Sometimes the easiest is best.

Glass gets streaky and awful and tracks quickly fill with gunk and mold if not constantly cleaned. Curtains add a nice touch of color and pattern. They are also less expensive and easily replaced for a new look.

One comment about the shower: option ONE which neither of you pick, in my humble opinion it could be the best choice considering the small space you have, and the practicality it offers..easy to remove and clean, takes practically no space, it won't cover the beautiful copper fixtures and a curved rod which by personal experience makes the space inside the shower bigger so your body does not touch the curtain. Oh, best of all, the rod comes with springs to pressure attach to the walls so no need to make holes in the wall. Have a happy day ❤

I suggest you with the SHOWER CURTAIN. You can get what’s called an oval rod so it wraps around which is better than a curtain that pulls straight across! The tub and kitchen sink looks great!

Also since it’s on a rod you can put some decorative hooks on the wall across from the shower head so you can hang the rod allowing the curtain to dry out and not intrude on Luca’s beautiful copper works. Consider the 3M style hooks that don’t require drilling/hardware and can be removed easily when no longer needed. No damage to the wall/tile. Some can hold quite a bit of weight and now they come in many designs. I’mI know whatever you decide the bathroom will look great. They Have a wonderful Sunday! ❤

100% keep it simple and easy and cheap....shower curtain gets my vote. You can put magnets or weights in the bottom corners so it doesnt stick to you and get a new one whenever you wish. In a small bathroom, I think the enclosures will be clausterphobic, plus more to clean daily. A nice clear or white or happy kids shower curtain is cheap and easy. It would be so hard to bathe Lucce with the glass in the way. Great job with the bathroom. Kudos and love from Canada

Because your space is so small, I would go with a shower curtain for now while Luce is still small. It will be so much easier to bathe her, a door would be in the way. It's temporary anyway. You can make changes later. In the states we have tension rods to hang shower curtains so you don't have to damage your walls. You can buy nylon waterproof curtains that won't cling to you like plastic & are prettier. It's all coming together. A lot of hard work but the end result will be beautiful. God bless your week. ❤❤❤
The copper plated shower fixtures are amazing. Coming from a family of contractors ( my mom, brother and uncle) and having done renovation, I'm impressed with your efforts to do it yourself. I highly recommend working with skilled construction people and learn everything you can for future projects. Learn from the experts and it will make work so much easier.
Ciao amores! Things are coming along wonderfully, considering you are doing it all yourselves. I am impressed with the epoxy coverings for the bathtub and the kitchen sink. So much so that Joe is finding the product to fix a bathtub in one of our rental houses, instead of replace the bathtub. I agree #3 is the best option in order for Luca to take a shower. You might also need to waterproof or tile all the way to the ceiling inside the glass enclosure. When Luce said, Wow! Que bella mondo and answered Luca’s “do I have a helper? And she said “si”, how very smart Luce is at such a young age, putting together sentences!! It seems like Luce was just born, and now she is turning 2 years old❤ and carrying on conversations. Use a clear shower curtain but use a curved copper rod at top so it has more room at top but can be tucked in at bottom. 😊😊😊❤❤❤

I hate the tracks too. Stuff gets in them. Can't sit on the side of the tub.
I have a glass shower surround,it is more hygienic and easer to clean than a shower curtain that you have to change all the time!

One comment about the shower: option ONE which neither of you pick, in my humble opinion it could be the best choice considering the small space you have, and the practicality it offers..easy to remove and clean, takes practically no space, it won't cover the beautiful copper fixtures and a curved rod which by personal experience makes the space inside the shower bigger so your body does not touch the curtain. Oh, best of all, the rod comes with springs to pressure attach to the walls so no need to make holes in the wall. Have a happy day ❤

I suggest you with the SHOWER CURTAIN. You can get what’s called an oval rod so it wraps around which is better than a curtain that pulls straight across! The tub and kitchen sink looks great!

Happy Birthday to beautiful Luce!🎈🎂🎉. For the shower I vote for the curtain option. It’s a quick and easy solution. Since you can buy a tension rod. Also since it’s on a rod you can put some decorative hooks on the wall across from the shower head so you can hang the rod allowing the curtain to dry out and not intrude on Luca’s beautiful copper works. Consider the 3M style hooks that don’t require drilling/hardware and can be removed easily when no longer needed. No damage to the wall/tile. Some can hold quite a bit of weight and now they come in many designs. I’mI know whatever you decide the bathroom will look great. They Have a wonderful Sunday! ❤

100% keep it simple and easy and cheap....shower curtain gets my vote. You can put magnets or weights in the bottom corners so it doesnt stick to you and get a new one whenever you wish. In a small bathroom, I think the enclosures will be clausterphobic, plus more to clean daily. A nice clear or white or happy kids shower curtain is cheap and easy. It would be so hard to bathe Lucce with the glass in the way. Great job with the bathroom. Kudos and love from Canada

Start right a way with a curtain with a tension bar..it can be taken down easily and after you use it for a while you can decide. Bathing Luce will be easiest with the curtain as well. I am so impressed how you are getting things done. Happy Sunday..and Happy Birthday Luce!

I think a curtain is an easier way to bath a child. I find glass hard to clean as well. It would be a cheaper option too so you can save the money for your shower room. Because your space is so small, I would go with a shower curtain for now while Luce is still small. It will be so much easier to bathe her, a door would be in the way. It's temporary anyway. You can make changes later. In the states we have tension rods to hang shower curtains so you don't have to damage your walls. You can buy nylon waterproof curtains that won't cling to you like plastic & are prettier. It's all coming together. A lot of hard work but the end result will be beautiful. God bless your week. ❤❤❤

The copper plated shower fixtures are amazing. Coming from a family of contractors ( my mom, brother and uncle) and having done renovation, I'm impressed with your efforts to do it yourself. I highly recommend working with skilled construction people and learn everything you can for future projects. Learn from the experts and it will make work so much easier.
Ciao amores! Things are coming along wonderfully, considering you are doing it all yourselves. I am impressed with the epoxy coverings for the bathtub and the kitchen sink. So much so that Joe is finding the product to fix a bathtub in one of our rental houses, instead of replace the bathtub. I agree #3 is the best option in order for Luca to take a shower. You might also need to waterproof or tile all the way to the ceiling inside the glass enclosure. When Luce said, Wow! Que bella mondo and answered Luca’s “do I have a helper? And she said “si”, how very smart Luce is at such a young age, putting together sentences!! It seems like Luce was just born, and now she is turning 2 years old❤ and carrying on conversations.
