Wowww double cleanse morning and double cleanse night. I personally think that’s too much for skin which is unnecessary. But if u wear makeup everyday all day and r out all day sweating etc then yeah might need it. Otherwise if u don’t really wear makeup and r indoor a lot then I don’t think u need it.
@@mariamhussain5554 I understand, for my skincare I wash my face in the morning with water then I go ahead with toner but at night it's when I double cleanse
I have always cleansed and moisturized but just started getting into skin meds and serums. They have made such a huge difference in texture and I no longer have blackheads. My pores are smaller as well. I was absolutely lost at which order to use them all though. You made it so easy for me now. Thank you!
Just be careful, normally use Vitamin C in the morning, because you cannot mix with retinol. And do not use retinol every day from day 1, you have to use to it :) I don't use toner but i use exfoliant after double cleansing, I think it is an unnecessary step.
Hello....I actually use them together. At night I use a vitamin C moisturizer on top of my retinol. I use retinol, wait about 15mins for it to dry then use my serum, next when the serum is dry I put on my moisturizer that contains the Vit C, lastly I add a thin layer of oil on top depending on what my skin is in need of at that time.. I have a few I switch around using, but my new favorite is the StriVectin Super-C Retinol oil. If your skin isn't sensitive you can definitely use them together. I used to not be huge on using toner every day, but since I've been using The Inkey Glycolic Acid Toner I am a fan. I don't usually double cleanse because I exfoliate so often, and when I use this toner (with a cotton pad) I make sure to swipe my neck and chest and the pad always ends up having sebum, sweat, something on it after wiping. Whatever its removning I definitely don't want it left on my skin 😂...it's an amazing product. ❤

The consistency method works well for beginners but if you want to get the most out of your actives use what you want to work the most first and work from there. I apply retinol and vitamin C on clean/dry face and then I’ll go in with my Ha and moisturizers. If your sensitive skinned, you would want to use the sandwich method or cycle your actives.

Hi Karen. What a wonderful video and plenty of great advice. Extremely good tips. I am so glad I quite accidentally landed on your page here. Now I can go through all your videos and learn more. I have been taking good care of my rather dry skin for many years ever since I was 17 years old. My mother also cared for her beautiful looks and managed to look more or less 30 yrs younger when she died at the age of 61. People used to think we were sisters. Being Scandinavian I have the typical very fair complexion that tends to be dry and also burns immediately if I stay in the sun. Thus sun protection is paramount. - Regards from northern Europe.
Thank you because you don't just spout advice you actually show us how to do it on your beautiful face, others I have watched just glaze over the information and don't actually show you themselves doing it, they quite often just rub It on the back of their hands which to me is pointless and confusing. Your toner has great properties and needs to stay on the skin. Anything you use that “cleanses or peels or exfoliates”. should be used first. I noticed when you used your AHA/BHA you wiped off all of the great stuff in the toner/essence. Some toners are meant to help exfoliate or clear pores and yes, they should be used first. But a toner that’s also considered an essence should be used after any exfoliating or cleansing. Just something I noticed while watching. I hated to see wiping off all those great ingredients. 😊

Hi I had been in California for almost 10 years and didn’t take care of my skin at all. It looks obvious that my face looks more old than that of a woman in her mid forties. Now I’m back in London and not sure what to use for my skin care routine. I have sensitive combination skin (oily/dry). Honestly I prefer not to use high end products and just go for drugstore brands that are of similar quality to those of high end brands. I just need something that is healthy and good for my skin day and night. Watching your videos gives me hope that my skin will restore its natural beauty again and that it’s never too late to start taking care of your skin and yourself again so thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and advice on skin care and how to get a good habit of a good skin care routine💖🤗

Dermatologists usually recommend not using bha and retinol on the same day. Like you use retinol every other day and the other days you use BHA. They also advise not using retinol on a wet face because it makes the retinol absorb faster which can cause irritation and inflammation

Oily skin is textured either due to large pores or acneish things. Glass in smooth and dewy.

Dermatologists usually recommend not using bha and retinol on the same day. Like you use retinol every other day and the other days you use BHA. They also advise not using retinol on a wet face because it makes the retinol absorb faster which can cause irritation and inflammation
Wow . I love your skin. Watching from Japan❤
Hi Karen! Your video is so helpful. I am planning to start the 6 step skin care routine.
I would like to ask what moisturizer did you used in this video, you did not mention.
Thank you.
Thank you so much for this video! It was super helpful and I even picked a few products shown in this video! This is the video to watch if you are starting out in skincare! Much love keep making amazing informative videos!!! ❤❤❤
I’ve been looking for a video like this ! Thank you so much!! the step where you do sheet mask? Would you also recommend doing regular clay face mask, etc at this time ?
What moisturiser do you use on this video?
Super dope content. Thanks for sharing. The whole cleansing process does get confusing if you don't know what you're dealing with 😂😂.
I've already been double cleansing for years, before it was so popular
If using BHA followed by Niacinimide skin medication... do you wait 15 mins in between both? Or do you wait 15 minutes after layering all of your skin medications?
I believe Essence is better than toner to prep your skin to take in all the serums etc instead of toner
Gratitude 🙏🏽
What brand is your vitamin C and is it suitable for sensitive skin? I like the consistency. Thanks
Hi! Thank you for this great video! Which moisturiser is your favourite for combination skin? Thanks :)
For a shortcut / economy version: cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen. Teehee.
Wow thank you so much! I order all those things!!! Do this day and night? 🙈 Or is this a night routine?☺️
Thank you, very informative! Your skin is gorgeous! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
Thank you so much! I appreciate you! 💕
I LOOOOOVEEEE your skincare videos soo much !! sponsored or not, i always look forward for these videos
Oh thank you for breaking the steps down. For the most part I got it right but I “wasn’t sure”. This video really helped me out a lot. I literally took out my “skincare journal”.
Btw - (you already know this) but you have BEAUTIFUL SKIN!!!
What is the moisturizer you used? Please I need to know this has helped me so much I'm super new to skincare. ❤
Just subbed! I came across this video and thanks UA-cam!! I have been using K-beauty for a few years. I don’t use sunscreen since I hardly go out. If I do, it’s running from the car to the gym lol!
So do I not use essence anymore. (This was my nighttime routine) : Oil cleanser, foam cleanser (dear, Klairs…but if you have a recommendation I would love it), essence, two serums (like I’m From Ginseng serum or other ones…I have too many). Then I put eye cream and then a moisturizer. I’m 52 and this is awesome! My skin looks soooo good.
QUESTION: what if your retinol is more of a cream consistency? Would u need to put it on after the serums? Thank you for the great video 🥰
I was looking for this information. thank you.
Hello! So after all these, then you can start with you make-up routine in the morning like your liquid foundation?
I got the Kombu Balancing Ampoule Toner from yes style and it smells beyond disgusting. It smells like strong chemicals and the smell takes a long time to fade away
If only I had the energy to do this every evening and morning
