Great drone footage. You seem to be able to stop at some pretty cool places. Nice to be able to do some sightseeing and still get paid . Sitting here in Maine, in the northeast United States. Cold, and snowy. I’m retired now but would rather be down there doing that. Safe travels, take care.
So nice to see the places me and my wife traveled to some years ago. Atherton tablelands is beautiful! Thank you for bringing me back 👍 cheers from the Netherlands
Nice one Johnno. Showing off the Atherton Tablelands where we live. Retired here in 2019 and absolutely love the place. At the moment the Palmerston Highway where you drove up and down to the coast is a bit Buggered care of Cyclone Jasper. Going to be out of action for quite some time
@@RoadTrainAdventures the Kuranda range is open during the day with stop and go one lanes. They close it at night for night works. The Palmerston where you travelled looks like it was hot by an earthquake. Maybe end of February they will have one lane open. We went down to Townsville for Christmas via Greenvale ( the inland route) Bloody good road so don't know why more trucks use it. Straight down to Charters towers, Emerald,Roma and down the Newell Highway to Melbourne. Now the Monsoon has started More rain ☔
No going up the Palmerston Hwy for a little while yet, hey! Cairns at Xmas looked pretty normal apart from some flood damage on the Northern Beaches, and a lot of water down the Barron River made a mess.
Another great video! Poor little horse wont do that again. 😢. Darwin approved! That main hwy (Bruce I think) right through Cardwell, got really washed out and heavily damaged, roughly 10 or so years back when a Cyclone ripped thru. Goes to show every couple years FNQ gets a bad one. This Cyclone Jasper is nnnooo suprise at all. I really like the black rock formation at 4.30 - what is the names of these rocks? Anybody know.
Thanks heaps. I've never been through a cyclone. I keep missing all the natural disasters. I know know about the black rocks so I can't say anything about them.
You have a relaxed approach and a very good communicator. You have shown loads of interesting places, how about people living in rural Australia. Plenty of people on route you could have a 10 minute chat, Like the fellow who did the trucking animations. .
I just use Google maps to find witch easy would be quicker and as for breaks, I just takes them when I feel tired. This is usually sooner than the 6 hours where I have to take one.
At the beginning of the video, when I saw the redness on the bull bar, I was wondering curiously about it... About nine minutes later, I now know... RIP little horsey.
Mmm. I think I may have that footage but the other members may not line to see it. I'll see if I can dig it up when I get back to Melbourne. I'm up in Sydney at the moment.
Breathtaking drone footage. Loved it. Thank you 🙏
Awesome. Thanks Karen
Great scenery. Thanks for the show
Thanks Rachel
Love the scenery
Thanks Jonathan
I remember that. When you were looking for a fish restaurant in Townmsville.
Yes that's the time.
Shame about the horse John, but at least what's left matches your paint job. LOL. Keep safe mate.
Yes imagine a full red bull bar. That would look different.

Thanks David. I don't get to see much snow down here so I'd love to see the scenery over there.
Looks like a beautiful area, lucky you get to see as part of your job jonno
Yes there is nothing like North Queensland

Thanks John. I always miss the cyclone and cool stuff. How bad is it there?

@@johnjordan4647 wow I really had no idea of all that. I never follow the news.

No good
That horse is just one of the many hazards road transport drivers have to put up with safe travels John
You got that right Gary.
I still remember when you first uploaded this video, I've been on the lookout for horses on the road ever since 😅
Around that area there were heaps but mainly during the day.
good to see you are okay! 🪦 horse 🐴
That bull bar stops just about anything in front of me.
Another great video!

That's a good idea. I just have to come up with a list of people I could talk to.
Great Vid Johno,Love ya work😊
Thanks Stephen. It's great to have you along.
Be nice to see the maps you use, planning a route and break stops.

Good one Eric

Yes that was very unexpected. If you pay it back slowly you can see how I didn't see it until the last few seconds.
That one car can do the speed limit. Just wait till you get to the overtaking lanes and they can definitely do a 100 or more.
Ha ha. Yes that happens all the time.
It's a nice video
Very good
My luck in the Melbourne cup Johno would be like putting money on that horse, all jokes aside it's not a nice experience.
Tony
No Tony that's it
What's with all the reheated videos? Did you get yourself a new 4K HDR oven or something?
No. I'm in holidays for four weeks so I'm replaying the videos I made last year. A bit like TV stations do over the Christmas break.
Understand not showing horse incident, but would be interested in any damage to truck or was all of the impack taken by the Bull Bar?
All impact was taken at the bull bar. The bracket to two spotlights was bent back but after straightening them, they're all fine.
Pitty about the horse Johnno mate do we get to see the gory bits in the members area??
Mmm. I think I may have that footage but the other members may not line to see it. I'll see if I can dig it up when I get back to Melbourne. I'm up in Sydney at the moment.
No worries mate.
👍
Kills me that you can't go swimming in the Queensland ocean without risking injury or death... 😢
Why would you risk death? What's bad about it?
How to handle on roadkill a bigger animal? Mesage authorities? How is it disposed of?
The horse was thrown off the road so no need to move it and add these are wild horses, and that it was dead, there is no need to call anyone.
This repetitive music drives me nuts.
Put your volume down. Nothing easier then that
Sorry
You works too
Do you have instagram
Yes but it's in road trains Australia name
