I’m so looking forward to this kit, I worked on the 1:1 version for over 20 years so I’m excited to see this kit
This looks like the best 1/35 Apache to date? Looks gorgeous.
I watch your videos for the builds but lately it's more commercials. Let's "GET BUILDING" !
Those clear parts are absolutely amazing 😯
Congrats to 35th guys, I guess. Just wish someone would show the same love to us, the 48th guys...
I like the taliban guy and his goat running for cover😂
I think the taliban own more apaches than the US thanks to dopey Biden.
Maybe he thought Prince Harry was flying the aircraft?
Looks more like just a goat herder
Those look absolutely amazing! Definitely gotta get one of those!
I loved knew I had to get this kit when I saw your vid.... I ordered it and another kit from you and will absolutely order more from you guys. I had to wait for your stock to get to the states. But well worth it! I hope you show us a build of this. I'm working on mine now! I have been linking your vids and online store on the Reddit subs I'm in. I hope you all get much more business! You absolutely deserve it! I tell everyone about the amazing customer service and quick response to queries. I did order from MMD before I knew about you all. But I quickly realized I wasted around $100 on that defunct store. I can't get my money back from them and they won't respond to any emails.
When I saw that you all were going to get them in stock I immediately placed my order. Excellent online store, excellent customer service, fast shipping with in stock items, and just all around nice people! Keep up the amazing work! You have the best all around online experience I've ever had!
Great detail on the latest helicopter models.Great job Takom.
This is awesome. I can't wait to see a build video!
Why no British AAC version of the Longbow, we have a famous prat that flew one in the first golf war, needs 25 kill markings.
When I saw the 3d printed stuff I at first thought it was an avionics tray..lol...but that thin scaffolding might make nice greeblies..
I need this kit in my life, looks amazing
Gosh dam takom are making so many good kits. I am going to have to get one of these
Just put in my pre-order for the AH-64E Guardian!!!🙂
LOVE the review Andy! Some awesome helicopters coming out! This one by Takom and also their other 1/35er Mi-28! Trumpeters and Zvezda's 1/48 Mi-8. It truly is the YEAR of the helicopter.
Just pre-ordered the AH64-E! Can’t wait to get this kit
Those look like some really great kits Andy the helicopter guys are going to love those 👍👍
absolutely amazing!
Wow- just wow! Thx for the walkaround the Apache Andy! Takom is not messing around! This is almost like building the real thing from the ground up...
really really thoughtful of Takom to include the rotor stowage gear, the extra resin, and all that PE! SHEESH!
Any plans for a build video on one of these in the future?! :)
Honestly, I liked watching your channel when it was mainly about building some new model. Now it's like watching a long commercial for Andy's Hobby Headquarters.
Yeah the kits look nice.
And don't forget, the real AH-64s are made across town (Phoenix) from your chop, in Mesa AZ...
Maaan!! I want the Longbow, but with the Air Cav decals,.. haha :)
I bet it still has the FCR in the E model.
Incredible vid Andy and Preview!!!
I saw 3 AH-64s, I guess 'E' type, when I walked to the supermarket yesterday. I live not too far from a big base, I see Army helicopters almost everyday. I want the Takom AH-64D Longbow. I also want the ICM CH-54 Tarhe when it makes it over here.
Preordered.....been waiting to pull the trigger.
I just finished Trumpeter's 1/35 CH-47A Chinook, so this Apache doesn't seem so large to me!
I'm so excited for the British version coming out. These look like amazing kits and what you get for the price is awesome! Thanks for another outstanding preview video Andy. I love these because then I know what I'm getting in the box!
That looks insane. But with those small parts and my skill level, there's no way.
I started the Longbow, and I'm ready to dump the whole thing in the trash. Way too many tediously small pieces than necessary. They did a phenomenal job at making too many little pieces!
WOW! Finally!
Very nice!!!
I did not know these existed and now I must have one! time to save me up some pennies!
beautiful helicopters
Dang it Takom, I'm trying to save money right now! This is too good to pass on 😂
Great video
L is the engine which is what I actually work on, I am definitely going to ha e to find these models
I hope that Red Fox will do a 3D cockpit for those
i love this trend of choppers coming out. does make me wish they'd do it in either 32nd or 48th though versus 35th, or that we'd move away from 32nd aircraft in favor of 35th
I can help explain Apaches. 18 years at Boeing. Radar on top of rotors is not installed on most foreign Apaches. Be careful.
Andy, why don't you do build video's anymore? I understand all the preview video's, you have product to sell. But your build video's inspired me to get back into model building. Hope you can find time to show us some builds.
There are literally hundreds of modellers building kits on UA-cam. Why are you all ganging up on poor Andy? He has a business to run :)
@@randomnickify how he’s made his money though. You tube will generate more revenue than the shop I expect sadly
I've just received the British MK1 Apache by Takom, it's a lovely kit, but apart from a colour plate on the penultimate page there are no paint instructions, or even mention or the colours used. While there are plenty of resources on the web for reference, this is still a staggering omission which leaves me just confounded.
I'm surprised, even a little shocked that this stark omission is not even mentioned by AHH here
gonna get me one!
Is beautiful
They look like great kits. The Qatari one is colorful and for a moment there, I wanted to build one. The Korean one, the font looks a bit odd. Sadly, they’re too big and complicated for my taste, so I’ll probably stick to Hasegawa if I want to build an Apache.
Very Very nice
I'd love to know the inside story with regards to the Takom/Meng thing. Both come at the same time, and the CADs look all but identical... Something definitely happened there!
As it is - I'm getting one from each company. Fair is fair.
Andy, I follow you from the beginning. I remeber there were some trolls commenting your technics as low. Now they can shat the f up as you cannel is the most popular on the Web. I am so happy how for you that your chanel i highly viewed and followed:) cheers from you friend from Poland❤
...да!-шиииикарная новая модель....
Oll Rosie will finaly get a break 😉
I have to agree with comment about the lack of color call outs. It looks to be an amazing kit at a good price but yon'll need to buy references to do it justice. This issue is not restricted to this kit or Takom as many manufacturers neglect this.
Personally, I find that even when they do colour call outs, they're usually completely wrong or way too basic. I've never built a kit and gone by what the manufacturer has said. References should always be necessary if you want any degree of accuracy.
Except my very first kit. When Trumpeter made me paint a Super Hornet in RLM grey. Lesson thoroughly learned.
Would have liked to have seen some canopy masks.
Really the only thing I dont like about the kit.
👍👍
Please Takom, release a 1/35 AH-64D JGSDF version
I’m waiting for someone to make the MI-28 Havok in 1/48
The kit looks awesome! Shame they didn't include the crew. Gonna have to find some aftermarket in-flight crew now. Anyone?
Man these are beauts...
There hasn't been a 1/32 Apache since Revell made one years ago and modellers tried to bring it up to scratch.
I was pleasantly surprised by the price being a lot lower than I expexted. It seems like any new tool kit in 1/35 or 1/32 is frequently in the 100 to 200 dollar range (Killing the hobby pricing).
I just went and had a look at the Pre-order price! I was totally expecting it to be over 100usd so I might be able to grab one up in the future.
They are still quite expensive in my opinion.
Now ldt's hope they don't have fit problems
I laugh at the Italeri 1/32 Tornado prices. $200 oh please😂
Hello! I have a question on a build I have coming up. I consider you the expert and your videos are so easy to watch and learn from. So my build is a 1/35 early Eastern front of WW2, 1941 to mid 1942. I chose the Tamiya Russian KV-1. My question is do you know where I can get accurate markings for that theater?
Nice looking kit but any mention of the paint markings in the manual?
Mine mine mine
I am really surprised how cheap the model is. For such big and complex plastic model 80 USD is very good price these days, I would be expecting 100+ USD for something like this.
Wonder how it is compared against the Meng kit.
None have the Israeli SARAF decals? That one looks pretty snazzy.
Any chance someone is coming out with crew figures?
On the AH-64E Guardian, what happened to the radome that the AH-64D Longbow had above the main rotor?
E model can have same radar but now there is a newer, smaller system that does same (better)
Itˋs included, you can see it on the boxart and when checking instructions step 27
This is dream for me. I’m very intimate with this aircraft.
I'm thinking the "L" sprue are the engines...
Do you ship to Canada? I’ve never ordered anything from you before but I’m super excited about the Longbow.
Yes we do
Since technically in ‘93 the D designation became applicable weather or not the AN/APG-78 was present and that carried over to the E variant, could both kits be built with or without the longbow radar as builder’s preference?
All the money, the music!!
You do not have shipping to the Middle East countries.?
Bird had some excellent firepower, Boeing had trouble with fixing a blade glitch nightmare for maintenance crews and pilot, but hey that doesn't hurt the model:-) it'd be fun to make a time machine diorama and put the helicopter in with Sherman's.
Nice kit. Great bonus.
1/35 is an unusual scale for an aircraft/helicopter , i always thought there is only 1/48 and the next step 1/32 scale.
no its the correct scale
@@Bilbirk62 I know, i am just not used to see aircraft in that scale. 1/35 is mostly for ground vehicles.
For people making dioramas getting stuff in 1/35 is much easier since it's basic scale for vehicles. Hopefully 1/32 will die out.
Will you be getting the 1/35 ICM Sikorsky CH-54A Tarhe US Heavy Helicopter?
hello thank you for this kits but wondering if you have civilian helicopters ????
If I don’t get the 1/35 sheep and Shepard I’m not getting it!
Blade folding kit not available for US Apaches.
Is the Meng version from the same mold?
Scalemates is your friend.
Why don't you build anymore?
Hiya, anybody know of any brand that sells aftermarket 1/35 helicopter pilots? Thanks
how do ya preorder ? cant find it anywhere
For anyone who is building this kit and any other Takom Apaches - is anyone else having issues with the armored plated glass sitting too far forward? Ive 3 different kits with exactly the same issue and its got me puzzled beyond reason.
Awesome!.. does it get a 👍 from the Taliban?
These look like great kits. BUT. As usual, Takom let us down with the utter garbage instructions. No colour call outs in the instructions at all. How the hell am I supposed to know what colours to paint all the detail parts on this thing? Cockpit, engines, avionics bays etc etc. I think I will maybe wait for the Meng kit.
Everything is green or black
@@Bilbirk62 Somehow I very much doubt that.
Hello,
I have a challenge for you. I am looking for an arm-controlled Apache 64 helicopter toy. That came out in 1992/93. I cannot recall who made the toy, or it's correct size, but it was either 1/24, 1/32. 1/35, or 1/48, and the cool part of this Apache was that it could be connected to a joystick arm controller.
In which you could flip the switch and the rotors would rotate. I cannot remember if there were any electronic sounds with it or not, but I believe so. The toy was very detailed, and had a pilot/co-pilot. I sure would love to find one on eBay, for my grandkids:)
Any help in identifying/ tracking this toy down, it would be appreciated.
Cheers!
Why is Takom based?
could have used some NATO markings but I'm sure someone will jump on that. Kit looks really nice generally but that burring seems atrocious, if its like that on release I'll have a good think about it, not really a hobby of mine to scrape every single part tbh.
The kits are absolutely gorgeous, plastic wise, the instructions although they look thorough are not that great, sequences etc are not that clear and also part numbering in the instructions is not right for some parts, you need to keep an eye out for those issues, but overall great kits, 👍👍👍👍👍👍
So what's the difference between the 2? I'm no expert.
from what I can tell, the kits are all the same. The E for every nation includes select international markings. The Guardian version comes with select markings. the Longbow radar will come with all versions, you just won't use it on the Guardian version or the E for every nation variant, and there might be a slight weapons loadout configuration change. To put it simply, 'all three boxes contain the same macaroni, but different seasonings' :)
@@eclipsehorse8693 hey thanks for your reply. That helps- appreciate you taking the time to answer!
Why release these in 1/35 scale though? Wouldnt making them in 1/32 scale be better to match all of the planes in 1/32?
Cause it may be placed on a diorama with 1/35 vehicles and figures 😉
To go with 1/35 armour.
Honestly 1/32 is bit pointless at this point. I much prefer dioramas and finding figures/details in 1/35 is much easier since its universal scale for vehicles. Hopefully 1/32 will die out :)
Just a comment for the algorithm
When is the next build video? Previews are okay, but definitely NOT why I subscribed. That said, I'd definitely put one of these on my next build list!
Shame there is no UK version :( Looks nearly as nice as a real one :D
I expect after market decals to come out for it.
Are they releasing a British Army version???
i doubt it, cant see a reason just to box that
Just wait for after market decals.
BTW, whats wrong with Europe and worldwide shop? Every time I click on an item, the: "Unfortunately, something went wrong." message appears.
And spruebros will sell these at a completely stupid price. 🤦♂️
Okay, that's it!! I'm gonna have to unsubscribe from your great channel before I end up going bankrupt😜😜
I don’t think I’ll buy one of these helis from takom because I heard word going around on build reviews on UA-cam the decals are really awful and really thick.
first I win the cookie
