I think I'm going to try copper rings and stainless beads. And yes, I thoroughly enjoy your tutorials. It's interesting when you go live with me being in the US and the time difference.
Oh that sounds good. The time difference is a toughie but we do have plans to try the occasional live stream that is more friendly to our US fan base. Deb
The tutorials are always terrific, but the nail polish that you've been wearing, and the different colors, too, all rate as a total improvement! And (no pun intended), the tutorials now look like they are truly more 'polished' than the ones without the new improvement!! And if you're able to find the time to keep it up, I would say, "Go For It!!" Way to go, Deb! Never thought your tutorials could ever get any better than they all are already!!!
Hi Deb I've just finish the Captive Byzantine bracelet I did not have a sapphire round bead so I used my bicones. I found it easier to set the bead in position and the hole remains out of sight. Love this bracelet. Hope the tip is useful to other bead lovers. Have a great day :-) :-)
I watch you quite often. I need to get my handle on it and I will repeat this one this is a very interesting piece you got some wonderful pieces and I'll be following you for quite some time as long as you keep cracking out these videos
Hi Deb Help! What am I doing wrong? I can’t seem to close the large rings over my bead. Even with pressure I am not able to close the large rings. FYI: I used my caliper and found out my beads that said they were 6 mm were really 6.25 mm. I found some 6 mm bicones and they are working.
A quick way to work out aspect ratio is to divide the ring ID by the wire diameter (using mm). That will give you the calculated AR. Actual AR may be slightly different due to springback and kerf width, but calculated should work for a lot of instances.
The rings around the bead really depends on the bead you using. Some beads that are listed as the same size I used I have had to go up in ring sizes to make it work. There is a certain amount of experimenting with beads, unless they are calibrated.
@@AussieMaillers The thing is Deb, getting rings in anything other than full and half sizes here in the UK is a nightmare. I'm even attempting to make my own for earrings. Thanks for your reply and your very inspiring tutorials.
I'm sorry to ask this, but I genuinely don't know, what is the standard/inches conversion for these ring sizes? I typically use 18g 1/4inch rings for my capture bracelets but would adore adding the byzantine to them like this.
Hi Shadow, there are plenty of conversion tables on the web. We have this one on our site www.aussiemaille.com/imperial-v-metric-ring-ids.html and also for wire diameters www.aussiemaille.com/awg-swg.html HTH Deb
Where can I buy ring in USA. And how do I ask for what I need as far as the size you use? Not understanding all the ID, OD MM, LIKE HOW DO I KNOW A 6MM WITH A 16AWG. what is a simpler way? Thank you.
Hope you enjoy our tutorial day. What beads do you think you will use to make this? Deb

@@kmed92 Copper is a pretty soft metal so it may not work, but good luck nontheless!

As long as the copper is hard drawn they will be OK, that is what we sell and it seems to be fine....about the same temper as half hard sterling. Deb
Hey just wondering if you think it'd be possible to do this with bicone beads?
OMGGG THIS WAS SO MUCH EASIER THAN I THOUGHT!! you do so good at explaining and i love who i can SEE every move you’re making
Hi Deb, I've just made this in sterling silver with black obsidian gemstones - it's stunning 😍 - thank you for the great tutorial!
sounds gorgeous.

That is awesome Marie. Did you use a 6mm Bicone? Thanks for the tip. Deb
@@AussieMaillers Yes Deb I used 6mm Swarovski bicone. Glad you like the tip

Yep, captured beads can be a total nightmare. It is often just trial and error. Glad you found something to work for you. Deb
Hello I want to make one. Would you know the aspect ratio. I could use that to help me make one. Nice work.

Thank you for sharing. Do these come in kits at all?
Όλα είναι υπέροχα. Καταπληκτικά. 😍
Another winner Deb! Would look great with the earrings - but before I get carried away, would 4.50 and 6.50 be okay?

Can this be completed with your square rings?

The simplest way to purchase from our site www.ausssiemaille.com.au Otherwise, get yourself a good conversion table/s and go from there.
Bravissima come sempre
