VERY rare find a 1500lb grizz, even in Katmai . The largest ones are from Katmai and average 600-800 lbs. ANY grizz can weigh over 2000lbs its all about the availability of food.
Katmai is a buffet so of course they get big.
There has been many 1000lb plus grizz shot and or tagged over the yrs here in Alberta, and B.C.

So how come people think a car windows going to stop a big animal as such. I dont think bears that size would have a problem swatting right through that window as if it were like cutting through siran wrap. As ive punched out my car window once as my keys were in my vehicle. And im like a fraction of the strength of a grizzly. And i punch out my car window not even a 3rd of my strength. So a grizzly bear could rip apart the windshield with its strength like it was opening up a can of sardines. Luckily the grizzly bears rely off of sence of smell amd human beings have a fowl odour that there like whatever youve been eating my nose doesnt like your smells. I dont want to poison myself by eating a filthy human is what its really thinking.
