- Crochet braid Pattern for long hair.
I need hairstyles that last a month, so I started wearing crochet braids in 2020, but my hair is so long that it was hard figuring out crochet braid patterns that worked, weren't super bulky, and could be easily (or more easily) concealed. Once I seen the stylists do the horizontal braids at the crown and feed the front braids under...I knew it would be a game changer b/c of flat it was... you want flat.

I hope this helps! You can change up the braids in the back by doing the beehive like shown, side to side or even straight backs and sew it down (which I do have a video for > ua-cam.com/video/HgiY4ORtTLY/v-deo.htmlsi=WMoEYGAmE9g7PK3M (in the initial insertion of the needle, go through the loop though).

I am going to use a variation of this pattern. I now feel confident that I can braid my own hair in a circle.
Niiiiiiice!! You got this! I have my camera to see the back… have you seen the “hack” where you can mirror your phone to the tv with your phone camera to see what you’re doing for the back of your head?
Yes the struggle is real!!! Me and my girls have below shoulder length/bra strap length hair and it is natural and thick. I really struggle trying to conceal the real braids underneath, hoping this helps!

This braiding style worked for me. I have very thick hair and have trouble getting the flat look with other styles. Thanks.

This video is so helpful. I have been trying to learn how to install pre-looped braids in my daughter's long thick hair and my attempts have been getting better but far from good. Crocheting the ends in is genius (I have been trying to weave them into another braid or keeping hair and braiding it up as a single braid and you can def tell lol.) ❤️

@@HeyChrishinda she's been wearing it natural for mths now, I'm gonna be out of practice again lol. I've def improved tho, just need to work on keeping my braids tight and placement even. The pre-braided crochet was a game changer.

Thank you! & I don’t remember… but I’m still a beginner braider, so it took a while. Straight backs would’ve took a while too. I’m patient when it comes to doing my hair.

I’m so late to the game….but have been really trying to find a quick and efficient way to braid my hair down…I’ve got the invisible look down in the front…but always seems to have trouble with what to do with the back braids. My hair is shoulder length and thick as well. Most recently I sewed my braids down…buy boy that took a min. Thanks so much for this…going to try it out.

Yes, different braid patterns have my cornrows so bulky…my hair is thick, so it’s still not “flat flat,” but definitely better!
