- I wanted to create a short video explaining the TRS to Dual Mono Splitter. It's a great alternative to TRS Y-Cables. It offers durability and flexibility by allowing you to modify your set up as your requirements change.
The TRS to Dual Mono Splitter is available here:

this is a great box to split your HX Stomp TRS expression in.
This product is a must have for any guitarist with a piezo system, amazing thank you, just bought one.
Thank you!!
Cool. I have to agree with the durability concerns of a Y cable.
Can you split an aux send mono signal to dual active subs without losing Audio integrity?
Comment for algorithm
Good for a Chapman Stick.
That was my first thought as well.
@@RattlesnakeCableCompany Yes! Two banks of strings, each with its own pickup. Output from one pickup through the tip and the other through the throat of the plug. Common ground for both, so it's a TRS cable, but split to two mono plugs on the other end to run the signal from the bass strings to a bass amp, and from the treble strings to a guitar amp.
BTW, just saw King Crimson in Boston last week. Amazing show! Tony Levin is my favorite living bass player!
Can you use this to just run to 2 different amps with any guitar? You mentioned guitars with 2 jacks, but, I don’t have one of those. LOL. And I wanted to run stereo.
Rattlesnake Cable Company, ah got it. Thank you!!
Could i use this to plug one guitar into a audio interface and an amp simultaneously?
Not with this. I would recommend our Mono to Dual Mono Splitter. That would be similar to a Mono Y-Cable. Guitar signal goes into the Mono Input, and there are two Mono Outputs.

Would this work to split the signal out of a line 6 Variax guitar so I can send the acoustic sounds to the PA and magnetic pickups thru my amp?
Does that guitar have a TRS/Stereo output jack where Piezo/Mag pickups are wired to tip/ring? If so, you definitely can use a TRS cable out of that, then into the splitter, then break it out to two mono to PA or board, etc. If the guitar has two output jacks, then this won't work like it was intended. If you use a regular guitar cable as the TRS cable, you'll only send 'tip' down the line, and you'll get signal out one side only from the splitter. Hope that helps!

so can i use this at the end of my pedal chain to run 2 cables into my interface, 1 into each input, so that both studio monitors output sound?
is that how I can use this? I bought some random Y cable assuming I would be able to do that but I still only get audio out of 1 monitor so i need to find a solution
Sounds like our Mono to Dual Mono splitter would work for this. Since your pedal chain is most likely a single source mono signal, you'll need to split that into 2 unbalanced signals. If you used a Y-Cable that was TRS to Dual Mono (like the box in this video), I can see you getting signal in only one side - since your pedal chain is mono and not balanced/TRS (I'm assuming that).
To test, you could probably find a cheap Y-Cable, just make sure it's Mono to Dual Mono.
@@RattlesnakeCableCompany makes sense thanks for the quick reply
will this work to split one guitar signal to 2 mixers (FOH & In ear)
Hello! For something like that, you'd want our Mono to Dual Mono Splitter. It would take the single mono signal from guitar, and then split it - one to FOH and the other to in ear.
@@RattlesnakeCableCompany Hi where can I buy one... thanks
Awesome. They're on sale right now too.

Good for the Rick-O-Sound??
Absolutely! We sell a lot of these to Rick-O-Sound users. Additionally, we offer TRS cables (Standard) and our TRS Snake Head that works well with these.
@@RattlesnakeCableCompany Holy fast replies! Thank you!
You bet! That's how we roll!
