Listen, Laura seems very genuine and is a very pretty and sweet girl. I say girl because I'm 60! And Grant is golden, but they are not our friends. They have friends and UA-cam is a business for them. I don't mean that in a bad way, but they are running an entertainment business. I'm sure it's pretty scary when someone you don't know at all shows up at your door, way out in the country! There is an expectation of privacy when you are home! If you want to meet them, go to a farm show, but don't show up at their house or try to call them! And there is usually a good reason people want to live in the country like they do. They want to be left alone! They could have bought a house in town, but they wanted to live in the country! Laura, Thank you for the daily updates during harvest season I'm sure that's not easy!
Time for you and Grant to make a couple plinking videos. Use the AR you use to protect your lives and farm. Also use your concealed one when you run. It might help against the stalkers because strength is the only thing they respect and shows that farmers arenot easy marks. Yall keep smiling!
I pass you on I-80 a couple of times a year. I just wave and keep on keepin' on. If you spot the pickup with the large canoe on the roof,, that's me, headin' for the Green or Colorado Rivers to go play. Some wilderness, some white water, some serenity.
Cats have staff. At least that's what the wife and I say all of the time. Be safe. God bless. I cant believe people have tried to intrude on your family. This world has gone crazy and very brave.
I am stunned by how fast your combine fills up. Stunned. I was going to guess 90 minutes for it to fill up. 7 minutes? 7 minutes? Amazing. Think about how long it would take before combines. Yeesh.
Rain/snow is always nice, to have enough water for the pivots in the summer time, but not in the middle of the harvest... I still enjoy to follow you both here from Denmark in Europe.
Thank You for Sharing your Daily life. My mother was raised on a small farm in middle eastern Utah Until her teens and WW2 forced a Move to the big city of Salt Lake. Thank you again. Stay Safe.
Love you guys! I grew up across the street from farm fields and would always go and help the farmer when bailing hay. Back then they where bails thrown into tall wagons by the bailer, some would miss and we had to manually pick them up, after the wagons were full we would go to the barn, then we would throw them on the elevator up to the loft in the barn and stack. Great memories. Keep up the great content!!! Could you and grant explain how the combine processes the corn stalk, picks the corn off the cob, throw what's left out the back? Thank You... Jeff from NW NJ
I believe that running the combine is mezzerizing and gives the operator a whole lot of time to think and reflect which makes for a more intelligent person. Oh, the fill and dump process kids love is recreated for farmers which I love.
Good morning to you and all of the other farmers that feed us. When will people understand that a farm is a operation requiring so much time to operate and it’s not a place that needs interruption while they work so hard for the good of this country. These young farmers have so much responsibility and you need to respect their privacy . Thank you

See I told you that weather was heading your way from Montana. It was 4 degrees this morning and 8” of snow. A lot of acres of sugar beets in the ground yet.
How cute 🥰 is the little kitten that is marked like mother. An the black one with white feet looks like a cat that l know as Lilli- Boots. Good luck getting the crops in😢. No rain, no snow ❄️🌨️. Thanks 👍 Lord 🙏.
Nebraska has some of the best pheasant hunting in the country. Most folks that farm in your area are more than likely hunters are familiar with 12 gauges. Safe hunting and leave a few rows standing for the birds. Good cover for them this winter.
I am so sorry that you have to give that message to the world about privacy. Since I have been watching you, that is at least the second time you've had to repeat that message. Stay safe Laura!

Because you are trying to apply your rational thought process to a crazy person. These stalker nuts are not rational and unfortunately her appeals to not cyber or physically stalk will not work.
Here in Vermont, during foliage season, a couple of towns have had to close down roads to popular tourist spots because so many people are so rude and inconsiderate... sad...
We have the same thing with spring Cherry Blossom time - people overrun this one neighborhood, walk all over people's yards, picnic on the grass, etc.@@ricksuydam5718
Wow, if filling the combine takes only 7-8 minutes then the limiting factor is the number of trucks/carts to transport to town. If not enough then there's wasted time on the field waiting.... Good luck.
Question. You all, along with other farmers I follow who live in the west, up north, and even into Canada, talk about “squares”. I can see them on a map or even Google Earth, but how many acres are in a square, at least in Nebraska. I’m sure it varies by state but what about there. I grew up around farming in Kentucky…I understand acres of course, but I doubt there is a square acre, much less a square piece of land, anywhere in this state! 😂

16 rows, that's what - 35 feet of crop per pass? if yes, that's 2 acres for every half-mile of travel... 4 acres/mile times 3 miles/hour is 12 acres per hour, make it 10 to allow for plugs... if it doesn't rain, you're done today if you've only got 40 acres left... (and even if it rains a bit, fire up the dryer - once the snow is on it, the corn won't be worth much)
Laura, when I was a kid we harvested corn by hand pulling and stored it in the husk in cribs. We thought we were doing good to get a acre in a day with 3 people working. Laura and Grant any plans to fix your dry ends were the pivots can't reach, there should be a solution for them?
