I am totally with you about having fun. I am not a survivalist and not a bushcrafter yet. I just want to go outside, play with my knives and axe, make a fire, maybe have lunch and a sleep and that’s it. I am never far from civilization. So, I definitely go for not overthinking it. Great video. Enjoy your free time and the peace it brings you.

Love old fashion bedroll, been trying to master it, lately I have been rolling up my flight jacket as the bedroll with gloves, poncho, sleep pad, SOL Escape Bivy Bag, 3x4 piece of tarp rolled up inside it. The Poncho becomes my shelter and the gear is rolled up in the 3x4 piece of tarp in case I need to wear the jacket. Real minimalist, looks Hobo but it works. Also, instead of fry pan to cook steaks, I use a 15 inch BBQ fork and prop it up over the fire, works best with a strip steak.

I bought their bedroll shortly after they came out with it. Sprung for the carrying harness too. It's good quality. Really got into this and ended up buying a traditional swag from Australia. It's bulkier but has a thick, comfortable mattress. Both have their place. Like the oiled canvas of the Bushcraft Spain. But I'm a car camper and roll these out on a cot. Too old to be tramping in the woods!

Hey! Thanks for stopping by! Yeah when I got it it was very clean not sure how much the dude used it but I’ve had it out about half a dozen time and I’ve been enjoying it! When youre cooking two steaks in a pan it really sucks the heat out of the pan which mean its going to take longer and be not as hot of a sear.
