Thanks for helping us. I have a question : If I always import the same csv files again and again with updating information , and looking to update my filemaker file, is there a way or a easy funtion to use to automate the process, instead of choosing each field one by one to when importing data. thanks
FileMaker provides a scripting language that you can use to automate tasks, including importing data, and the script can remember which fields you wish to import and in what order. Once you have written the script, you may then run the script and it will perform all the tasks you wrote into the script very quickly and accurately.

Whenever I add records it copies over whatever data is presently in the table.
Do you mean that when you import records, it replaces current records? Perhaps you have the import action set to Replace rather than Add.
