Whilst I definitely appreciate lore wise trying to give Gondor the old Dunedain lands, for your sanity and blood pressure it might be worth taking ownership of them 😅😂
Hello, friend. A good episode, where we have a crucial event. The One Ring is the final event needed for the faction so as to claim the final victory. Eomund's army is battered, so he surely needs more units to hit Carn Dum as soon as possible. At the same time, the liberation of Gondor is almost complete and the armies in Fanuilond will have to come down to the South to help Elfhelm. Theoden, from his side, is in Ithilien to assist them when he is free. After Ostithil, he has Haudhanur in his way, so that all the realm is again united. Thus, you can keep the pressure against Mordor, though having some ballistae in your side will be a very good weapon against Trolls, Olog-hai and Great Beasts. I am not sure if you want Harondor for you or if you'll give it to Gondor, either case with all of Enedwaith, Dunland and most of Cardolan in the realm, you are very well in terms of expansion. Keep investing in your economy and set those cities that have finished the circle to automanagement, so that you know that they are fully upgraded. And now, let's get another small episode for our story: Eomer was still around Fanuilond, waiting for the Khandish to wear out before he assaulted. The second army was set to another point, encircling and cutting completely every route around the city. The news came that Alcrid awaited for the right moment before the assault and he then claimed Brethil alongside a Gondorian army. The assault was a success and the Gondorians reclaimed the town. Alcrid was then coming south to help with Fanuilond. "Afterwards", Eomer told to Anborn, "we should go south. With the King in Ostithil and Elfhelm holding steadily in Tirithoros, we can be sure that we have a steady hold in those lands". "That's very good", Anborn said. "I would suggest that we should go to Barad Harn, after here. It's a castle right south of the Ethir and it has direct communication with Tirithoros and Elfhelm. There, we will be able to hold the line of the Anduin to help Gondor some room to breathe and rebuild. Afterwards, the fate of Harondor will be put for a decent decision at the council". Eomer nodded in agreement. That night, however, a messenger came to Eomer into the night and the Prince was awoken in the dark. His father had sent a rider to inform him that he was marching straight to Carn Dum, as there was haste. Eomer accepted him in his tent and asked him why there was so much hurry. "I'd better leave now for the King", the messenger said. "Only thing I'll tell you is this: it is said that the One Ring was seen by one of our spies in Carn Dum. Prince Eomund sent me to inform you, as well as to ask for more men from Tharbad". Eomer's eyes were wide open hearing this. "The One Ring", he whispered, "the weapon of the Enemy. So much power in our hands...". He started to walk up and down. But at that moment, Anborn came in. "My Prince", he said, "I'm ready to accompany your father to this task. I won't be too late and I trust my men. Do I have permission to leave?". Eomer immediately came to his senses. "Go now", he ordered. "And you" - pointed the messenger - "go immediatly through the land north of Pelargir to the King. Avoid this city and Pelargir and seek the crossings out of the walls to get a ferry out. Then, right into our patrols close to Ostithil, they will get you straight to the King. Ride now". The messenger nodded and rushed out. Eomer stopped Anborn before he departed. "Take care, my friend", he said. "And beware of the attacking spirit than my father has. If the rumours about the powers of the One are true, he will be challenged by a power that is too much for him". "I will", Anborn said placing his hand on Eomer's shoulder. "And I think that your father is stronger than what Sauron expects". He left immediately, calling three of his men by his side.
*One Ring:* "I'm gonna ruin this man's whole career"
and don't forget to light the beacons if you're enjoying the campaign!
