Great job!👏 As on all VH songs, Alex managed to sound easy to play it, but when you dive into the song you realise how much details has it. It's not easy at all. Such a legend
Still one of the most underrated pieces the band produced in the Hagar years. Man oh man, what a show-ender Top of the World was. Catch their live recording, and the entire crowd knows too just how good the song is.
@@TomDrums Certainly! I've been curious for some time now: think you'd ever do a cover of "Breathless" by the Corrs? I'm aware that pop rock isn't really something you do, but Caroline Corr's ferocity on the kit is nearly impossible to imitate. If not, I completely understand; after all, you have to pick and choose what you can do and when.
@@henderson023 When MTV was still MTV and I saw video’s of the Corrs I thought exactly the same. She plays with her whole upper body and with an aggression you don’t see in pop-bands :) Anyway, it’s a nice picture to see 😄
Thanks a lot for the huge compliment! 😊. Neil Pearts drumming is at a level which is not of this world. Not only his technical abilities, but as a musician in total. He is really the best of the best in my opinion. Alex is a fantastic band drummer with his unique feel and timing, one of my favorites 👌🤘
@@TomDrums 100% True. Neil is the hardest thing for me to record. His kick pedal is on such a cosmic level that it's hard to synchronize with hands (error 404 in brain) :) , but Alex, Simon Philips and Jeff Porcaro also often have difficult, original things to play.
@@The.GB.Drumming I don’t even dare to touch the 3 P’s (Phillips, Porcaro, Peart), I need to practice a little more before I’ll do that 😄 Even though they’re technically gifted, they have so much groove and soul in their playing. It’s what I miss with all the “modern” drummers. it’s all chops and speed (some exeptions ofcourse).
@@TomDrums I think you can definitely do it :) I saw your cover of "Amsterdam". He is technically advanced in my opinion and difficult to recover with soul. You have everything to play 3P. I hope see this and now subscribe You! :))
No shoes? Good man. It's the only way to play. As Rick Allen says, playing the drums while wearing shoes is like playing guitar while wearing boxing gloves!
Dude wt*...why don't you have more subs... That aint right. I just left that weird comment on your poundcake video. Do you have a pateron?? Id pay to listen to you get down on 5150 dude.

It’s such a positive song! It really shows their writing skills.

Great ending!
Alex’s drum work is so underrated
His style is unique, maybe even sloppy at times, but that just adds up to his feel :)
I like Van Halen and Rush songs to play, because the technical advancement of Peart and Van Halen is top of the top. Your drumming is master class.

Good cover 💪!! I leave you my Like 👍, Keep it up!! 🤘🚀
Thanks a lot! Much appreciated 😎👍
Nothing they did is underrated come come on it's Van HalenNothing they did is underrated come on it's Van Halen. And that is a sweet drum set
I hear you! 😄 Thanks a lot for the compliment! 🤘😊
The best Alex van halen ❤
He was and is (no doubt) still fantastic!
What software is running to record? Can‘t see it on the monitor on the left side.. btw. I love your drumming
Thanks for the compliment! 😊 I use Reaper. It's not expensive, easy to use with a VST and not to complicated. Just right for me 😄
Goddamn dude fuckin nailed it
Thanks a lot man! :)
I can't believe those symbols sound that good but if you want to sell that kit I'll buy it right now
Thanks for the nice words! 😊. The cymbals are e-cymbals with EZDrummer 2 as VST. That's why they sound so good😄
No shoes? Good man. It's the only way to play. As Rick Allen says, playing the drums while wearing shoes is like playing guitar while wearing boxing gloves!
Can't argue with that 😄 It's the same with truck drivers. Most of them don't wear any shoes, it keeps them connected with the pedals :)
You make it look fun as hell . Come tO my house and show me what I don't need
Small kit big sound that's how you do it
Thanks a lot for the compliment, Shane! 🤘😊
Dude wt*...why don't you have more subs...
That aint right. I just left that weird comment on your poundcake video.
Do you have a pateron?? Id pay to listen to you get down on 5150 dude.
This channel is just all fun for me, It's not my intention to make money with it. I take takes a another level of skill and expertise :)
