The fact that a cobbler has 157.000 followers on UA-cam shows two things: he is a master, what he does is art. And second: people love his personal style, his kindness, his humour. Let’s continue 😊
Hey Steve, it was a pleasure meeting you, it was cool watching you in person repairing shoes. My only regret was not hearing you say "Hammer Time". As I mentioned during the show, you really got the balance right in your channel between boot stuff and other types of leather repair such as bags, jackets and other items. Even having your friend visiting the shop for coffee is cool.
Glad to hear your commentary explaining your work and giving us the history lessons to boot! Yes, that was intended! Hammer time! (You made my Saturday morning! Beautiful work, thanks!)
I think that's the coolest looking boot you've ever worked on of course, that's just my opinion. I wish I had them as my daily driver in Black wish I could make it to New York but I'm sure you will get plenty of. ( footage)😂
Great work Steve I just knew this was going to be a great repair with the extra stuff you do this turned out excellent I’d be well happy to wear them all day everyday ❤
results are fantastic! As a woodworking, I have to handle little nails and screws every so often and it's almost impossible to hold onto them so I use a piar of needle-nose pliers to hold while I set them. It works great and saves your fingers from getting hammered.
First thing a lady will look on a man are his shoes, stay classy gentlemen. Fun project indeed Bedo, love what you're doing. My grandfather was a shoemaker and unfortunately died before I met him, I always admired his tools. Shoemaking and repair is such a great brain exercise, somewhat like McGyver.
Hello, I am a man and I look at ladies and mans footware. Not always first, but that is included when observing ones style or grooming. I agree 100% with your comment. Soiled footware says something about the person. Not necessarily bad, could be busy, could be overlooked, could be not knowing. But a total package includes "Head to toe". Have yourself a wonderful day! Kelly
Good Morning Steve, Kelly here...loved the ASMR. Yes the commentary is always enjoyable. However, the simple sounds of cutting, sanding, stitching, hammering and even your movements are incredibly soothing and restfull. Now I suppose it might depend on contrast to the every day sounds or noise one is use to. I work construction, so its incredibly noisy. I think you would probably agree, the simple sounds of bird song, crickets, grass blowing and even tires rolling on the pavement are not enjoyed enough by others. There is peace without dialog. Kelly
*Ignore the haters who try to tell you what to do with your channel. You're free to do whatever you want since its your channel, and your videos. It's good that you don't let them get to you. They're just angry keyboard warriors, hiding behind a screen lol 😅🤣🤣🤣🤣! Your channel and videos are great! These boots look great! Keep up the good work!*
What a fine rebuild of those hoof-covers! They were in need of some love. In carpentry, we call those "witness marks", used to align fitted parts. Between those blown out eyelets and the worn out heel linings, I'm wondering if those boots are just a tad too large for the man wearing them? Beautiful job of bringing those back into their like-new condition. Love that cross-hatch sole protector too. God bless you, Steve in your efforts.
I appreciate people who work with hands. It just gives you this sense of attachment. The kinda of thing Mahatma Gandhi was trying to teach through his charka.
Good day Mr. Steve, I have a question, my old c&j Oxford has a canvas lining in the forepart of the shoes, vamp and toebox Can i manually glue a thin leather (less than 1mm) inside to cover the canvas lining ? (except the toe part) Are there long term disadvantages on this? Or is this a good idea? Thank you as always
Hey Steve ... What's the name of that Rubber you put on the bottom of them Boots? I like it. It has this weave look about it. Amazing Job. I have a Black pair of that exact same Boot. AE had some nice leather back then. Stay Up Steve. God Bless🙏🏽 ...
The designer of those boots was Hannah Smith, chukka boots based on some of 1950s designs. Or at least that what I found after some minutes in google. Loved the leather circle rebrand in the sole Steve.
Steve, I have the noticed in videos that you have done in the past looks like you use a flat jerk needle not around one that is sharp on the end that actually cuts with left to right motions were can I purchase a needle like that
Steve i’m trying to get up enough nerve to replace the welts and sole on a pair of shoes I have my question is what size and type thread do I use to sew the welts on and what size and type thread do I use to sew the sole on you in advance
I just got me a pair of Florsheim imperials 93606 brown ptb with inner vcleat 5 nail and yellowish glove like interior all names lettering still visible and not wore off scale 1-10 their a 9 only because their used but condition other than that is a 10 for 44 year old shoe wow made in 1980 original sole still intact but best of all they are shell cordovan whoever owned them before me took great care of them they are practically brand new all they need is a little Venetian cream and viola I have Allen Edmonds shoe trees in them and for 20 bucks by the way plus 1.99 for the Allen Edmonds shoe trees at the thrift I couldn’t believe my eyes

Great work Steve, really cool rebuild. See you at the bootcamp!
I would be proud to wear a pair of boots re-crafted by you, impeccable work .
Once again, a great job, well done!😊
I liked the silent film. It allowed me to pay closer attention to sharpening the razor blade.😂😂😂😂😂😂
The tormented boot turned into a fashion statement. Pure and simple.
Very handsome shoes, sir. Thank you.
Nice looking boot, Steve.
Glad to hear your commentary explaining your work and giving us the history lessons to boot! Yes, that was intended! Hammer time! (You made my Saturday morning! Beautiful work, thanks!)
Another beautiful job, thanks for sharing Steve.
I like the ASMR videos. Especially the ASMR with making coffee or having a cigar. And I really like the closeups on this video... very nice shots.
Wow, that came out really good. That’s a great pair of boots of casual/dress wear. Cool pattern.
Wuaw, If I was from the US I would go, but I live far, far away Steve, Great job again!
I like how you're a cobbler with a UA-cam channel, not just a UA-camr looking for clicks.
That's why I always watch.. let's continue, lil
Your craftsmanship is another level sir.
What a beautiful boot! I’m going to have my shoemaker make a pair for me.
Love the asmr videos and the regular ones. Lets continue!
I have so much respect for your work.i hope ypu get a apprentice to teach this priceless craft..100s of years craft..thank you😊
Beautiful job again Steve
I love the design of this boot! It looks so easy to put on and wear. Hannah must be a great designer!
Hi steve. I love watching your work. Victor.
Please sharpen your disposable blades.
I think he knows what to do
I really like your new camera work, it shows more details of the process.
Great looking shoes. Good job as usual.

What's the best way to soften Crepe soled shoes??.
I have no idea
Great work as always. What is the ratioanle to replace the welt and gemming?
More structurally sound work
Those boots held up for a decade. And they are recraftable. A good boot. Pretty good buy.
Nicely done!

Очень качественная и красивая работа! Вы Мастер 🤗🤝
Better than the original ones.Let's continue
Steve your a frickenn artist
Great work, awesome channel. May I ask what brand and model watch you are wearing?
The brand name is WWOOR
The reason for the ASMR backlash is that your personality and presentation is what makes this channel good. Stay with your strength!
Variety is the spice of life. Word.
Legend!
7:21 😂😂😂 No pitchforks and torches from me. But I do like your commentary. Sharpen those razors!! 😂😂
Un trabajo elegante saludos desde cartagena Colombia

GTO Crosshatch
How much athlete foot does he get in his hands?
Haha nothing. I wash up like 10 times a day🤣🤣
Can a nylon strip hidden below creases reinforce the top toe area to prevent them from returning?
Yes and no
The designer of those boots was Hannah Smith, chukka boots based on some of 1950s designs. Or at least that what I found after some minutes in google.
Loved the leather circle rebrand in the sole Steve.
Allen Edmonds does fake cap toes huh. Is that common in dress shoe space?
You do great work. In this case, where the boots have been redone once before, wouldn’t it have been better to just get a new pair of boots?
No
Job well done
Good morning Steve❤🎉😊👋👏🌞☀️
Nice job steve
Steve, I have the noticed in videos that you have done in the past looks like you use a flat jerk needle not around one that is sharp on the end that actually cuts with left to right motions were can I purchase a needle like that
I don’t recall any flat needle I’ve used before. The jerk needle has been the same all along
Steve i’m trying to get up enough nerve to replace the welts and sole on a pair of shoes I have my question is what size and type thread do I use to sew the welts on and what size and type thread do I use to sew the sole on you in advance
For the welt I use waxed nylon
For the outsole stitching, you could use the same but in my machine I’ve got linen thread set up size 6
Perfecto! 😎👍
100% better...good job 😊
👍🏻👍🏻
Love ASMR
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Bravo!
You can also get a cool shot of what you're doing using a go pro and a head mount pointing downsoards
❤❤❤❤😊
👍👍👍
Hey Steveo! You are a Master Cobbler my friend. You guys better be nice in the comments!

nice job Beto
No one is named Beto. He is Steve. His father was Bedo.
You need to get one of those tiny drones that will hover just above your hands. Oh wait there is no such thing.
