I was born in 1994 in India and my mother used to tell me about Dhoop Kinaare so many times while growing up. When they made an Indian adaptation of it, then she made me search for it on the net. And then last year there was a drama called Noor Ul Lain that my mom saw and she immediately said oh she was in Dhoop Kinare. Marina Ji played Imran Abbas' mother.

I watched Dhoop Kinare , rented from a video parlour :) in 1990, was around 12-13. It stayed with me....watched for the fourth time last week...Still the same warm feeling. Transports you to an era where love was communicated through silences and gazes....Marina Khan was my first and only celebrity crush. One of the few people whose beautiful soul shines through on the screen! Timeless romance....A must for the new generation to get a perspective on love in the times of no internet/mobiles...Much love from India!

I watched Dhoop kinare here in the U.K in 1993, I was 18 years old. It was aired on t.v and I'm glad it had English subtitles because as Pashto speakers I was still learning Urdu, and I didn't have to keep asking my parents who speak it well! I remember the calm and engaging dialogue and the emotional, romantic atmosphere of the series. I absolutely loved it, and when I am reminiscing about the 80s and early 90s , I'll go back and watch it. My husband is from Pakistan and he bought me the DVD as well as Tanhaiyan . I also like watching these interviews here on UA-cam as I like to keep connected with Pakistani t.v as I only like certain independent Indian films and not the mainstream industry stuff. I have to say the host, Ms Peerzada aswell as Marina Khan are both lovely, intelligent and graceful, truly an epitome of Pakistani women.

Who can forget joya ali khan we lived with her n Dr Ahmer in our lives . I have lost the count I have seen Dhoop Kinare . We remember all the dialogues n scenes but we still see it like never before. Actually I ve noticed that many times when we are not in good mood I saw it n it rejuvenated the whole spirit.

I was born in 2003 and when I become matured enough I don't even know about about these wonderful dramas because I wasn't interesting in watching Pakistani dramas because an image was made in my mind that Pakistani dramas were boring. When an other sequel of Tanhayian aired it freshens my parents childhood memories and told us that dramas like Tanhayian, dhoop kinary unkahi were the classic but then also I didn't watch them. One day I was sitting alone and was bored so I decided to watch tanhaiyan and you won't believe that my opinion about Pakistani dramas totally changed and then I watch dhoop kinary and unkahi and both were amazing . I can't find words to described my feelings after watching those classic dramas and the acting of those legendary actors. And now I say that Pakistani dramas are the best dramas no other country can compete them.

You know, I just love Sania/Zoya always so so much. Those dramas came when I wasn't even born. When I was 7-8 (in late 90's) I saw that drama first time and several times after that, especially for her. I can still watch it anytime you say. But You, Samina Peerzada Ji, I just love the way you romanticize every single thing, the way you say things, "aankhon mein ghumti thii line" and so much more. You understand, you think, romanticize, you put it in words and others just have to say Yes. Oh My God, I want to learn everything from you.

She's so adorable. Watched Tanhaiyan as a kid in the 80s. Loved her and Shehnaz ever since. They were such a big part of Pakistani pop culture. Wish it was possible to convey to them how a generation of kids grew up loving them.
PS. Please interview Shehnaz as well. There is only one recent interview of hers and it was conducted by complete amateurs. Shehnaz deserves to be interviewed by a master like Samina.

I was watching this show and read about "Dhoop kinare" in comment section left the show in between and started watching the Master piece Dhop kinare.
Till now, I have watched 15 episodes without skipping even a single scene since yesterday 😍
I wasn't even born when the drama was on aired but while growing up I remember my elder siblings used to talk about this drama alot.
Now I get it why they are so madly in love with the drama.
And trust me Dhoop kinare is still watched by Pakistanis and Indians equally.
And let me not forget to give the credit to the amazing legendary cast of the drama 🎭

His personality and sparkling eyes were mesmerising.
LATE Qazi WAjid sahb (may Allah grant him jannatul Firdous) was extremely good.
