Oh and the 2 points awarded to Vitor, if you look at the replay, he went for an ouchi gari (outside leg trup) as Lucas pull guard. So it was a legit 2 points.
One thing is for sure. If you're going to compete this is a match to study because competition is a jiu jitsu game and these guys play the rules and the game as good as anyone in this match.
Could be argued that he didn't turtle up to defend the guard pass, which does warrant an advantage, but he came to his knees to attack the legs. The advantage is not clear cut but I would still have probably given it.
Vitor got the advantage because he was trying to pass guard and Lucas came up to his knees (turtled) at 10:29. Any time you do that to avoid a guard pass the top guy gets an advantage
Lucas got a penalty in the end, because he wouldn't let the ref repositioned him like they were before the stoppage. As for the advantage from the turtle, although he wasn't being in danger of passing, but he was still forced to turtle, so the advantage was right. Had he hold a lapel or leg as he turtle, he would have prevented the advantage. Ref did a good job. I really like Lucas Lepri, but he lost this one. Vitor deserved this win. Not only is he good, he's a class act outside the mats. Watch out for him at the 2015 Worlds.

Thanks for the video!
The greats have all of their losses on UA-cam.

Great match
vitor was going for a throw for sure lucas just jumped guard at the wrong time.
Briga boa
lutão
He got 2 points for a takedown when Lucas was pulling guard? That was not even a takedown, it looked more like Lucas pulled/dragged him.
yes but this is the rule. you gotta be careful when u pullguard.
Lucas never turtles he came up for the legs from his guard bs reffing
He plays that position so close to the border of the rules, it could go for or against him. When you're reffing you hate that stuff.
easiest 2 pts in BJJ gotta be careful when u pull
6:30 2 POINTS???????????! WTF?
