Thanks for this review, I couldn't figure out how to get the lights to work. As an FYI, I've argued with other bikers over pulsing lights to no avail, but I personally caution against pulsing lights because I know when I am driving in the dark and encounter a biker with pulsing lights, it always make me like I am going to have a seizure and makes me have a really hard time driving. I take my eyes off the flashing lights, but it makes me dizzy and nauseous and I feel makes me less safe around the bicyclist. I don't have epilepsy, but did have a lot of febrile seizures as a child, so maybe this doesn't happen to most people? Police lights also make me feel like this and I learned that the police are supposed to turn off their lights around epileptics, so their is something to this for some people. Anyway, its something to think about as you might inadvertently trigger a seizure in someone who thought they had their seizures under control or who hasn't had their first seizure, so was legally allowed able to drive, and then they could crash into you. I personally would love for someone to do a safety study as to whether flashing lights are actually more visible/safe since so many bicyclist use them.

I just Googled this and found this "High-intensity forward-facing lights should not be flashed alone at night, especially if they put out over 200 lumens. You run the risk of disorienting oncoming traffic (be it on 4 or 2 wheels), and make it difficult to estimate your position and speed. Having one flashing light and one steady light is a good compromise - you can grab drivers' attention but the steady light helps improve distance estimates. Avoid extreme strobe patterns though, and opt for a pulsing light (like on the Light and Motion Urban 700) or a subtler flash like Cygolite's Metro and Expilion series."

      And this... "
Germany’s StVZO bike light regulations dictate that flashing bike lights are not permitted on either the front or rear of a bike. The regulations state this is because flashing patterns can be distracting to other road users.
Flashing bikes are also outlawed in the Netherlands and Austria.
In some places, flashing lights are reserved for emergency vehicles only - allowing other road users a clear cue of an emergency.
This is the case in Washington state, where flashing white lights are prohibited except for on emergency vehicles."

Do you mean pulsing or flashing lights?

@@CREATIVEreviews Oh! I didn't know there was a difference! Sorry if I didn't understand what you meant! I struggle with the ones that are flashing on an off rapidly. I currently foodling with my daughters lights on her helmet and realizing there is a "very slow flashing" which is totally not bothersome. Is that the one you recommend?

@@MaureenSklaroff oh yes. The flashing is too much for people I agree. But the slow pulse is what I use and I believe it’s needed in the city where there are hundreds of solid glowing lights
