Me and my best friends did the same for Regional Solo and Ensemble in AZ and got a perfect as well, it is a beautiful unifying song especailly and I'm so glad to see it brought together another group of friends
Lovely rendition by these young ladies. And yes, you go ALTO--both of you. It is so good to hear you sing out your parts for the beautiful balance. Thank you for this upload.
Thank you ladies. I am singing this in June, the alto part. I was having so much trouble with a certain part of it. I now have it because of watching the alto perform. Thank you again.
Ladies, I am about ten years late in thanking you for this video. I loved it and the way you supported one another; and what better setting...😊 At the time that I found yoyr video, some of our cousins and I were preparing to sing at the church service segment of the family's celebration of our first centenarian. It was not a stellar performance, but I remember that just prior to those rehearsals God was trying to speak to me through that Psalm 121 and, having finally understood that, I could not keep my composure while singing it 😢. We might not feel worthy of God's attentions, but He values us and wants the best for us...always.❤❤
I've sung this with "The Australian Boys Choir" before, but obviously, we never had any female singers in it. This sounds lovely. The acoustics of that bathroom are really good as well. :P
good job!!!!! My womens chorus is singing that as one of our songs for LGPE and our the spring concert. i am a second soprano like the girl in the middle, but I started as a first soprano and my chorus instructor decided the 2nds needed help and they did so thats where I stand...
The one who is going to associate intimately with God must go beyond all that is visible and (lifting up his own mind, as to a mountaintop, to the invisible and incomprehensible) believe that the divine is there where the understanding does not reach. - GREGORY OF NYSSA, The Life of Moses
first of all to Mr boob tube couldn't you appreciate the wonderful acoustics the bathroom provides. also they sing wonderfully . very well prepared I heard three other ladies singing and they don't breathe deeply enough which resulted in sin sounding voice
This is so very beautiful. It's a wonderful piece of music of course, and I've heard a girls choir sing it in Budapest which was also beautiful - but this version is ethereal. The girls have such poise, and understanding of each other, and I love the purity of the sound. Toilets are a great place to sing, of course, and give a resonance that makes it sound as if they're singing in a cathedral. Nevertheless, I'm sure that angels in heaven would sound like this.
beautiful ladies. very well rounded and a wonderful blend. 1st soprano, make sure you keep you vowels nice and tall. you got a little spread at times and also made some odd shapes on some words. also watch the "cometh help" at the end. it is different then the other times before. wonderful job ladies. and good idea singing it in a bathroom.
beautiful tone. my choir is singing the entire oratorio with professional soloists and orchestra in two weeks time and this movement is my favourite =D too bad i'm a bass and dont get to sing it...
@mrbubetube You do bring up a valid point. Maybe they had no other place to practice? Perhaps it was a church bathroom and an exceedingly clean bathroom. We never know.
A lot of people rehearse in bathroom for acoustic purposes because there's less sound absorption (Which is why people sound better in the shower.) I know that when we were getting ready for our show, the girl I had a duet with and I went in to the bathroom for that purpose. it's easier to hear with that amount of resonance.
you three are amazing!!!! i like one person on each part rather than an entire choir butchering the song (especially since some sopranos really arent sopranos)
@DAisbetter Yes, but what about the air quality? Doesn't that have a negative effect on your voice and inspiration? And what about the location? That isn't exactly considered a holy place to be singing sacred choral music. Or is that a church bathroom?
The only that bothered me was the quite audible breathing. I know it's a tough song (having sung it myself), but if the breathing was a touch quieter, it would be almost perfect!
Not only is the singing absolutely ethereal, but that is the cleanest public bathroom I've ever seen! =]
Well...so much for singing in the shower. Venue notwithstanding , beautifully blended voices. Headed straight to my favorites.
Excellente acoustique dans les toilettes !
Très très belle interprétation, divin en quelque sorte…
Me and my best friends did the same for Regional Solo and Ensemble in AZ and got a perfect as well, it is a beautiful unifying song especailly and I'm so glad to see it brought together another group of friends
Wow, your voices blend beautifully! Best trio version heard so far on YT.
I keep coming back to see this, as it's the novelist version on UA-cam! I sang the second soprano in high school and my choral society did it once.

Beautiful ladies! I'm singing the Sop1 w/ a women's choir & fell in love w/ this piece.
Lovely rendition by these young ladies. And yes, you go ALTO--both of you. It is so good to hear you sing out your parts for the beautiful balance. Thank you for this upload.
Awesome voices!
Brava, Brava, Brava!!!! I have never heard this except with the boys "angel choir" but this is much better -- tremendous!!
Beautiful.
We always loved the acoustics in the loo back when I was in choir!!
Really, this is the best recording of this piece on UA-cam. Congratulations, ladies.
Gorgeous! The blend is magnificent.
Thank you ladies. I am singing this in June, the alto part. I was having so much trouble with a certain part of it. I now have it because of watching the alto perform. Thank you again.

beautiful ladies. very well rounded and a wonderful blend. 1st soprano, make sure you keep you vowels nice and tall. you got a little spread at times and also made some odd shapes on some words. also watch the "cometh help" at the end. it is different then the other times before. wonderful job ladies. and good idea singing it in a bathroom.

im a baritone and i know all 3 parts to this song, i love to sing them all
im doing this in a trombone trio. lol. good job!
Excellent
Our ladies ensemble sung this and we kept going flat...
@mrbubetube You do bring up a valid point. Maybe they had no other place to practice? Perhaps it was a church bathroom and an exceedingly clean bathroom. We never know.
I'm a trombone and can play the middle. I think these girls did very well
you guys sound beautiful
a little top heavy but amaazing none the less...awesome job =)

:o) super!!!
die akustik einer toilette sollte man öfter nutzen.
wonderful!!! you deserved it!
you three are amazing!!!! i like one person on each part rather than an entire choir butchering the song (especially since some sopranos really arent sopranos)
Go alto!!!!
Beautiful Job, could have sat on the second to last note a little longer and embraced the tension, but whatever just a personal preference. 5 stars.
This helped me so much :)
Beautiful things can be found in the bathrooms?! JK AMAZING! I also sang this song as a soprano!
Go alto hitting that A and A#!!!!
I LOVE YOU!!!!
YOU'RE SINGING MENDELSSOHN IN A BATHROOM!!!!!
was that before a concert?
great job. beautiful! =)
playing the trombone trio version of this song :)
i think its gonna be a hard song in choir
@mrbubetube Because the echo makes you sounds better.
Beautiful ladies! And aren't bathroom acoustics the best!! lol!!
i liked the ist soprano, but this performance seemed a bit draggy. but it was good. i love this song
@DAisbetter Yes, but what about the air quality? Doesn't that have a negative effect on your voice and inspiration? And what about the location? That isn't exactly considered a holy place to be singing sacred choral music. Or is that a church bathroom?

@sheldrake123 what do you mean vibrato isn't pleasing to the ears?
i guess if it's unnatural, forced. other than that, it's nice. :)
WHERE are they standing? Looks like a bathroom with toilet cubicles. Great acoustics!
awesome! and esp for singing in the toilet =P
Die Qualität des Videos ist gut. Die Örtlichkeit dürfte allerdings kein Konzertsaal, sondern eher der Toilettenbereich eines öffentlichen Hauses sein.
why is it being filmed in a public toilet? wtf. (but great voices! So strong!)
@mrbubetube She's pushing on her diaphragm to help get the lower notes.
the middle voice seems like she's just goin at it like a solo...
it sticks out quite a bit...
