Hey love your videos! I am from Laredo TX been in the industry for 5+ years, rn I’m a broker but want to buy trucks and dispatch them myself my question is are you suppose to book the whole week in advance? Say for example I run Laredo Dallas lane so on Sunday I get the Monday Laredo to Dallas load and the Tuesday Dallas to Laredo load, can I do this for the whole week on Sunday?
About how long did it take you to broker a load?
You gotta do what’s right for you. My dispatchers don’t book more than 2 days in advance.
Too many things happening on the road, weather or traffic delays, load mot ready, receiving docks delays, driver hours... . Constantly communicate with the driver, that's how you book loads.

When should you get a fuel card? At the start of business it after building business credit?
I got one immediately bc having a fuel card makes operations more efficient
If CT credit approves you based on business revenue, how would You apply for the card at the start of the business without making any money?
The CT credit card requires business revenue bc there’s no personal guarantee. There are other cards you can apply for without business revenue, but they will require personal guarantee. Hopefully this makes sense
