Just back from Northern Europe cruise on Iona. Thank you so much for your vlogs they helped me so much. It was my first cruise and I went solo. Loved it so much I’ve booked the Christmas market cruise for December 2024. It was so funny doing some of the things that I had watched you both do😃 loved the stroop waffles . Thank you
That’s awesome Julie. So pleased you had such a great time. The Christmas 🎄 Markets are great with so much to enjoy. Glad you had stroop waffles, so much better freshly made. Thank you for your kind comments, they are very much appreciated ☺️
We've just booked this cruise for next december with IONA. Cannot wait. Love Christmas. Love the Christmas markets too. Looking forward to Bruges and I've heard Ghent not far from Bruges is really nice too. Great video. Thanks guys. It's very helpful.
Thanks David. We loved this trip, for all the reasons you mention, and especially Iona looking all festive! Bruges was lovely, and very busy, but the glühwein helped a lot! 🎄
Loved this series my husband and I were on at same time as you we were sat in front of you on the sea day in the theatre. Agree with you great pre Christmas cruise. Looking forward to your Britannia adventure
Hi both of you. Loved watching, great vlog. I've never ever been too Bruges, it looks fab :) So quirky & full of character. Love all those home made gifts in the markets . Blimey, those were rather large mulled wine pint pots lol ??? ha! I find it to be a bit of an aqquired taste ? x
Finally manged to catch up and watched the series, looks like you had a great time on Iona and visiting the Christmas markets (or not in some of the places! 🙂most of the places you visited I have never been to and look lovely so definitely now thinking of doing this trip this year - This takes me back to my first vlog series I watched of yours when I was researching the Iona, its a beautiful ship, we also loved Sindhu the food was spectacular even though there was so much of it . looking forward to your next trip on Britannia as we have the same itinerary on her in September, so will be keeping and eye on your hints and tips for the shores days.
Loved watching this, we literally were a day ahead of you on the MSC Virtuosa. Loved Hamburg, and we opted for an organised trip to Ghent, which was beautiful. I notice that you didn’t stop in Le Havre like we did? We didn’t bother getting off the ship though, just enjoyed our final day. First ever cruise for us and I know it won’t be the last! Also ❤ all things Florida, just come back after 3 weeks and we go back at the end of May too. Hope you enjoy your special birthday cruise xx
Ah Thank you! We haven’t tried MSC yet. Would you recommend? We loved Bruges. Maybe won’t do a guided tour next time. We have the cruise bug now, and have 3 coming this year thankfully! Glad you like Florida too. We go every year 😎
@@BroadwaysAway we really enjoyed MSC but that was our first cruise so we don’t have anything to compare it with. We had a P&O one booked for our 25th Wedding Anniversary in 2020 (we all know what happened that year 😤), delayed it til the next year and unfortunately we lost my Dad so it’s now rebooked for next March. That’s to the Caribbean, we wanted to try the MSC one as a starter to see if we liked it, which we did! Would love to try more Mediterranean cruises as I love jumping on and off in different countries with no hassle of flying! Looking forward to watching your next cruise series! Enjoy xxx
I've only been to Belgium once last month for a day and what a great adventure, next year we are on the Iona same places, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Bruges plus we have a 4th port Le Harve in France and then 2025 we are also doing the Brittania and the Norwegian Fjords
Bruges was amazing. Really recommend it. Especially the markets. Walking tour was good but we would do our own thing next time. The beauty of cruising is seeing all these new places!
Hi going on Iona Christmas market cruise, looking forward to, loved your vlogs most informative. Question did you get a toilet break before getting to Bruge, or do you have to use Cafes facilities.
Hi, just found your Iona Vlogs. We are doing the Northern Europe on 1st April. This will be our first cruise. Did you guys have the drinks package or did you onboard credit cover the cost of drinks? 👍
Hi, thank you for watching! Our onboard credit covered our drinks (we didn’t have a drinks package) but we only typically have 1 alcoholic drink a day each. Prices are comparable to high street pubs 👍🏻 hope that helps
Definitely don’t take an extension lead, as it will definitely be confiscated until the end of the cruise. Maybe take some beers, or some wine to keep in your cabin to save money. Maybe take water bottles to fill around the ship when you are up on deck. Two lots of swim wear is a good idea.
Nice share of your Disembarkation day
Thank you so much
Keren sekali bosku.Hadir menyimak bosku.salam silaturohmi semoga lancar riskinya dan tambah maju chanelnya
Thank you for watching 😊
Thanks for a great series of vlogs looking forward to the next series
Thank you 😊. Not long to wait, this Sunday at 6pm

We had a holiday in Bruges about 10 years ago with the family lovley City. We claimed to the top of that clock tower
Way to go. Looked a bit of a mission. We would go there again in a heartbeat 😎

Ah wish we could have said hi! Yes can’t wait for the Baltic cruise 🚢
Before Covid the market was a lot better, hopefully they will get back to normal. Great vlog.
Thank you, we’d love to do it again in a few years
We've booked for the Christmas market this December. First ever cruise but I'm so wishing to be in Bruges at night. Great video
We hope you have a wonderful festive cruise, Bruges is such a beautiful city. Don’t forget to have some Glühwein! Thanks for watching. ☺️

Thanks Debbie, it was a great cruise and we were spoiled with the weather! Oh the wine tastes much better with amaretto 🤣
Showing your age Pete. Norman Collyer (unsure if spelt right). Used to love him as a kid. Brugge is great and those curries looked good 😋😋
Yep, I’m officially old! One of the best curries we have experienced, twice now too. 😊

It was a super cruise 💝

@@BroadwaysAway that's what my wife Carolyn said as well, in fact back in April when we went on the P&O Ventura she hadn't been abroad at all
Ooo so excited you’re doing the baltics as that’s one we plan to do in 2024
We had a Baltic booked in 2020 which was obviously cancelled so we’re really excited!
Another enjoyable vlog guys.
Loved this cruise series ❤️
Thank you, lots more to come 🎉
Hi going on Iona Christmas market cruise, looking forward to, loved your vlogs most informative. Question did you get a toilet break before getting to Bruge, or do you have to use Cafes facilities.
Thank you! Once on the coach there were no toilet stops until we had our free time to explore the markets xx
