    I'm so happy to hear you say that copper doesn't mix well with ascorbic acid! I just bought a peptide with copper and I was wondering if I should use it in the morning too. Good to know that I shouldn't. Thank you.

    I've been enjoying your content. For very sensitive skin I found a lovely non vitamin c ,aloe based, creamy antioxidant cream from an independent brand. It has niacinamide, resveratrol, astaxanthin and palmitoyl tripeptide-8 and is from Samuel Jordan skincare. It's lovely.

    Speaking of resveratrol, Paula's Choice has a ultra-light super antioxidant serum with THD, CoQ10, niacinamide, beta glucan, EGCG. And the ordinary has a simple resveratrol serum.

    can you use copper peptides at the same time with a retinoid? I see a lot of conflicting information online, some say no they conflict, others say that they work very synergistically with each other. Would love you take on this

    So refreshing that we have a derm in the States reviewing j and k skincare which are really accessible and the formulation is second to none. Plus I cant read the ingredients in Japanese. I hear j and k skincare vitamin c is more about brightening than antioxidant based. Is that right?
    Ty!!

    Hi Dr. Liu, have you looked into the Maelove's copper peptide serum (the "Peptide Squad")? They claim it uses a different delivery method that makes it compatible for simultaneous use with their Vitamin C serum (which uses L-ascorbic acid).

    I have copper peptides serum and never can find time for it. Because morning is lascorbic acid and evening is retinoid. When you use it. Alternatively I guess

    • @db-gb5xi
      @db-gb5xi 5 місяців тому

      You can use copper peptides and retinoids at the same time (several derm channels have said this). The common advice has been not to use ascorbic acid (vit c) with copper peptides though vit c derivatives with copper peptides are fine.

    Doc, I used roaccutane pills and like 6 months ago, and I find that my skin has changed in terms of sebum production, my skin has become extra sensitive and really prone reactions, really dry and sensitive whenever I use actives.
    Could you please help me with product suggestions, products that could help build my skin tolerance again and hydrates and heals and protects it. I find myself prone to blackheads too so I can’t use salicylic acid due to the hypersensitivity of my skin.
    Would appreciate your help, thank you

    Good Morning Dr.Jenny, hope you are doing well!
    I have a question, is it safe to use 15 % azelaic acid gel twice daily for the rest of my life? Should I be worried that one day it'll just stop working ?

    Hello doctor I have a question that I don’t really understand so for example the Japanese brand of vitamin C you use they have a toner, serum and cream all vitamin C. If I were to use all 3 would it be more beneficial? Or just pick 1 of the items to use? Same goes with like Retinal lines that have serums, creams toners, essences… just 1 or all for higher effects?

    • @db-gb5xi
      @db-gb5xi 5 місяців тому

      There are some brands that want you to buy all their products and use them (because they want your money). But when you see most derms do their routines, they are using one product (maybe a corresponding eye cream) and not several of the same type of product.

    • @dr.jennyliu
      @dr.jennyliu  5 місяців тому

      I personally would pick serum

    Is it okay to use a salicylic acid face wash at night and use a otc retinol after?

    • @JBloggerGirl
      @JBloggerGirl 5 місяців тому +1

      I heard it’s better to do it separately, like do the Salicylic acid wash during the day time and retinol at night. For very sensitive skin, might need to even do it on separate days

    • @db-gb5xi
      @db-gb5xi 5 місяців тому +1

      I've seen some derms say it's okay with a wash off product to use a retinoid after. But yes, if you have sensitive skin, use the SA wash in the morning and the retinoid at night.
