FIRST EVER PARAPLEGIC WAKE SURFER (T-7)

Here is a quick video on how to Wakesurf if you are a paraplegic. I will be posting more detailed videos soon on how we did our board set up and how to ride the wave in better detail. This is my brother Talen who is 17 years old and is a T-7. He first started wake surfing when he was 13. At that time he was the FIRST ever paraplegic wake surfer! Even to this day you will not find any videos on how to wake surf as a paraplegic. More videos will be coming out soon on how to so stay tuned! This is crazy awesome. I’m a t5 and I’ve skied for 23 years and I’ve always wanted to surf the wake. How did you set up the board? Is that a Fluid cage seat? How do I get started?

Hey Man! Thanks for sharing that video. Very inspiring for me. I’m a t2 para and recently bought a wake board and was going to design a seat for it. But i love surfing and have surfed in Costa Rica and Australia prior to beating spinal cord cancer in 2017. Can you help me with the design of the seat? I have seen one like it online but they sell for about $1500 and I would like to make one myself. Thanks

Yeh. I think that's to pick up the person in the water assisting him at the startup. I'm curious if he has now gotten to a point where he could get up on his own.
