That honestly surprised me too seeing how close they are now but then i put myself in Jurin's shoes and the competitive environment they were in and I started to understand where she was coming from.

Simon probably felt bad scolding them at times, you can tell he genuinely cares about all of the girls. It all worked out in the end though

Simon has put all of these girls to the grinder, simply put -- most of the girls are in their teens during this time, but he needed to make the girls to bring their a-game on to succeed. He needed to lit a fire on the feet of TEAM C (if you see the timestamp, Maju & Yui has already been there at 7am while TEAM C came only at 10am).
Dedication and love for the craft. That's what he's trying to imbue on the girls.
The thing is while he's trying to bring XG to life, Simon is learning and growing alongside them.
You're tearing up already? We're not halfway yet.

This is only the dance part or there training, the rankings basically flip when they come to there vocal part of the training. Juria, Chisa, Maya to really well as you can imagine.

I'm catching this late, loved your reaction! This was the episode that made me realize how strong I've connected with the group, and like you, this documentary really made me understand better the trials that trainees go through. Can't wait to your reactions for the remaining episodes, thanks so much!

To be honest with you I was also only looking Cocona too. She has always shown that she is very skilled at executing every move so it comes out clean and with 'Swagger'.

This doc definitely opened my eyes to how hard idols have it mentally and physically. XG was my first look into kpop adjacent/kpop artists. When someone badmouths any idol I get really upset knowing what they went through. The emotional rollercoaster that this doc put me through is wild! Just know when you get teary eyed we the viewers probably got that way as well. Awesome reaction! I really enjoy getting your insight and thoughts on the doc. 🫡🐺🧬👽

Simon knew the talent he had in Chisa, Maya, and, Juria. He wasn't worried about their vocals or rapping but he didn't want any weak dancers either. I love how Simon put this together.
    Nice reaction ✌🏾

Yep he made sure they formed a passion for dancing like they had / have for singing

Thanks for sharing with us Kayla. Don't feel pressured to watch too fast if you need time to process. Interesting point, I do think sports is the closest thing in the US in regards to idol system. The dedication, how young, etc. and of course how hard it is.

49:38 So true !! The way XG members perform now looks so perfect and effortless that we'd think they were born like this. It's hard to imagine they struggled so much to get where they are now. Blood, sweat and tears paid off ! So proud of these girls !
