Maria Raczynska Matia, can you please show Chinese landscape painting? I found many videos for basic cherry blossoms or mountains and trees😇. But I cannot find detail Chinese landscape painting videos. Can you please try to make a video of it. Thanks to you in advance больше спасибо
Maria, you are a true giver, thanks for teaching your technique, I love it, your final results are fantastic, I love the way you use white gouache, I will start using it I think it helps a lot with contrast, your pieces always have color drama and I love it.
Thank you for noticing it and again for all your nice comments. Yes, that's why I love white gouache, it helps to achieve that contrast and it's just great to add light wherever needed.
I followed this tutorial..struggled a little bit with the deer....the poor deer looked like more than petrified ...but practice, practice, practice.....and a great technique to remember is "less is more" sometimes you just have to stop !! thank you Maria... I have quite the collection of Maria inspired works of art now.
Love this Winter scene. Here you used Viridian and it works very very well.I must say that I almost never used this colour I´m "afraid" of using it...seems to be a little aggressive colour. But I will try again. You gave me confidence Maria. Thank you
Thank you Ana :) Yes Viridian can be a very strong and bright color but you can always try to tone it down with white gouache or start blending it with Indigo or even Thalo Blue. Maybe try testing it on a paper and see first how the colors mix. I do that sometimes before I go wild on the paper ;)
Hi Jasmine, thank you ☺️🌹so Viridian is a pure pigment color, created from natural components while Viridian Hue is a color made out of synthetic ingredients, sometimes chemicals etc.. sometimes companies create Hue colors because to create a natural real pigment is too pricey or too toxic, it all depends... and sometimes the company wants you to have another option ( this I only noticed with professional grade watercolors since cheap watercolors usually have Hues and bad quality pigment mixes, very toxic), like here I prefer Viridian Hue by Holbein vs Viridian by Holbein because Viridian Hue is much more greenish and more vibrant if that makes sense...
Your artwork is mesmerizing.. Can u please suggest an alternative for thalo blue and virdian hue.. If not then how can i make it with the help of standard colours.. Could you please tell me
Thank you so much 🌸🤗You can definitely paint with standard colors, to create a shade similar to viridian you can add a bit of yellow to blue... not too much because you will get a green, so you want to be on a border, right before it would turn green... for blue, try any other blue.. Prussian blue?
Hi Nancy, when I use watercolor paper - hot pressed I use the smoothest side of the paper, when I use the cold pressed I choose the rough side and for rough watercolor paper the same. thank you!
Hi Erin, I don't disclose name brands right now on my channel, you can email me directly at maria@loveoriginals.com for the info, also if you tell me exactly which part of the video you are referring to I can also give you more details on all specific colors I used. For the sky it's just indigo, black, viridian hue, white gouache as far as I remember. Thank you!
Hi Inez, welcome to watercolor world :) this is my older video, so all colors are mentioned when you watch it..all my videos since about March 2017 have color swatches at the beginning of each video. thanks
Are there breaks that you cut out of the video, like do you let the paint dry before continuing? I'd think with all the paint and water, the paper'd get soggy. ^^')
Hi, the paper doesn't get soggy, also I cut everything out that you don't see on the camera, such as me dipping a brush in water, paint, anything you wouldn't see on camera gets taken out, then I fast forward it to make it into a shorter video. I don't wait (like walking away from my painting) until the paper is dry, what I do is just move to the next section of the painting, like another rock etc and work on there until lets say the big rock is ready to work on again. Everything is still wet, not all the way dry, unless I start painting the turtle, then I have to wait for my background to dry, especially to remove the art masking fluid. Thank you
HI Anita, i would have to do a research on it as blue in general is one of the 3 primary colors (yellow, pink, blue) and phthao is a very highly pigmented strong color more used in "hue" blues - very high pigment
Hi Maria! I love this pic. You're a truly compassionate person (I guess so). You deserve more subscribe. One question for you: "Could you give it to me?? (just kidding ^^)

Maria, which side of the watercolor paper do you normally use? The smooth or the rough?
Hi Nancy, when I use watercolor paper - hot pressed I use the smoothest side of the paper, when I use the cold pressed I choose the rough side and for rough watercolor paper the same. thank you!
جميل جدا ❤👍
شكرا جزيلا🌹🌺
Which dark blue pigment did you use? It reminds me of Sennelier Indanthrone.
Hi Erin, I think you are referring to Indigo, that's what I mostly use to create night skies.
Maria Raczynska what brand indigo are you using? it's registering really blue for me on my screen!
Hi Erin, I don't disclose name brands right now on my channel, you can email me directly at maria@loveoriginals.com for the info, also if you tell me exactly which part of the video you are referring to I can also give you more details on all specific colors I used. please tell me what kind of paint do you use?
Hi, i paint with Holbein Watercolors in tubes :)
Ok, thnx.
what brand of brush? and paper?
Hi, I paint on Arches Watercolor Papers with Holbein Watercolors in tubes and I currently use Silver Brush Limited Brushes.
how can i make thalo blue
HI Anita, i would have to do a research on it as blue in general is one of the 3 primary colors (yellow, pink, blue) and phthao is a very highly pigmented strong color more used in "hue" blues - very high pigment
Hi Maria! I love this pic. You're a truly compassionate person (I guess so).
You deserve more subscribe. One question for you:
