Funny enough I’ve been looking for someone who’s imported a prelude on Facebook and I keep coming across this exact car. Thanks for the walk around! It’s a beautiful car!
Love the 5thgen, presently still own a 99 w/manual shift and I really like the Si-R but not a fan of RHD. My 5thgen is Nordic Mist with black leather interior and that black leather/red stitching/Alcántara looks so much more premium than my USDM black leather.
Yeah worst part about RHD for me is when I'm on one lane highways and you can't see around the car in front to pass them haha. I'm with ya, love the 5th gen & glad you have one as well!
@@wayneganpat8320 USDM Honda Prelude didn't get a cabin air filter until 1999. Are you sure that your Prelude has a cabin air filter? In my 99 5thgen there was a plastic beam/bracket blocking the cabin air filtration box. After removing the plastic bracket there should be a removable door for access to the actual cabin filter.
I owned a Type S in 1998. I imported it from Japan to Ireland. The engine was lovely with a notable change in engine noise when V-tec cuts in. Your car looks immaculate.
Thank you so much! Thats awesome, wish US didn't have the 25 year law. Only downside I'm finding out is everything is discontinued for the prelude, wishing I could get some of moldings/trim pieces. I agree the VTEC sound is great. I used to have a EM1 with B16a and the H22a has so much more torque. Prelude also just feels more like a sports car than the civic IMO
Wow! This Honda Prelude Si-R Type S is very nice, but I personally do not think I would be able to shift gears using my left hand. I have owned a few 3 pedal, 5-speed manual transmission cars in the past.
Miss that sound from my 98 red prelude. It also had the extra horsepower 225hp and a racing transmission. Enkei wheels I had too, 17inch with red inner circle lip and silver rims. 2x12 inch sound core subwoofers. Barely got it in in the trunk.
And it's black! 👍🏾 I wonder what it tops out at? My USDM 2001 was able to top out at 159mph with just a cat back and AEM CAI and the entire rear half interior, belts, And trunk gutted out... Lowered and few other goodies. The speedo says 190kmh (that's only a tad over 118mph), so im curious to know what it will top out at...
Shot in the dark, but is there a part number on the strut bar? I have a Type SH Prelude, been trying to find the OEM strut bar for a while. Clean car! Congrats
how do they price these cars? is it auction or they decide based on mileage, condition & what model? Im interested in getting one lol same car is sweet but also a forester sti would be cool ,& they didn't offer in the US. or other cars! I would have a hard time deciding
@@mcsqueegee81 price is based off of the auction score. This car was a 3.5. Here are the auction score meanings: 5 As new with no condition faults. 4.5 Very clean, one panel affected by minor paint blemish. 4 More than one panel affected by minor paint blemishes. 3.5 Some attention to panel and paint is required. 3 Rough overall condition. 2 Serious panel damage, rusty or water damaged.
Rays G-Games 77s size 17x7.0 Offset +42 These were made back in 2004. I just added 20mm spacers to all 4 corners to get the wheels flush with the size of the car. However, I may get a pair of 10 or 15mm spacers for the rear as they rub and its not that low.

much appreciated, thanks!
I imported a JDM bb4 about a year ago. If you have any questions let me know

Now that's something we don't see everyday.
True type-s Prelude.
The black sheep of the Honda family.
Ever since I got into preludes I've always wanted one of these and the Vtir. So sick. Beautiful car!
Thank you!
My dad had one of these when I was a kid, absolutely amazing cars.
Preludes are so damn underrated
That vtec CRACK😮💨🤯 congratulations on getting your hands on such a clean imported top of the line prelude you’ve done good sir😂👏 👏👏

Never too late to get another one! Sounds like you had a really nice Prelude.
@@rob_becker haha you know what i drive now. A Hyundai Genesis 3.8 2010
I was.probably the first dude to fuck a girl with a qualludes in my prelude lmao!! That's crazy my life was in Florida during the ufc golden age
Found one in white. Probably gonna finally get my hands on it this week 😅
Oh hell yeah!! My IG is rob_becker send some pics of you do!
I just got the Apexi for my 96 VTEC. I put the Active Tail Silencer and it sounds amazing with the H22. Parts are so hard to come by. Nice ride!
Absolutely love Apexi N1, I also had this exhaust on my 00 civic si and had to get it again.
I got a 93 right hand drive Honda prelude black. Wait till your master cylinder goes bad and you got to order one from Japan
Nice! Oh man, yeah I can only imagine. Its hard to find anything for these cars. Facebook marketplace has helped me a little.
Buy one and keep it on the stock pile in case ¯\_(^3^)_/¯
cant you just run one from a U.S spec model? via @ the J.Y or a partout / donor car?
Lovely I have a black 97 SiR, I can confirm they come with a strut brace under the hood beautiful cars 👍
that prelude is cleeeaaaan, treat it well my man. also check your tail light gaskets xD
That thing is sweet! I gotta find one of those rear glass panels with the rear wiper for my 00 type sh, I never even knew those existed as an option😅.
Congrats on the new car bud.
thank you!

This even has what looks to be original stereo delete plastic cover, no one had stereo there probably all its life 😮 Weight reduction 😅
any issues with how our gas is different here & the tune it has?
none at all, car never broke up or ran weird at all.
Seen this exact car on their Instagram or Facebook one or the other what you end up giving for it?
$16k
great sounding engine. I'm 70 retired own a 98 prelude and a 2006 subaru sti
@@pirihern9329 thank you, its fun to rev it out. I had a 16 wrx for a while and my wife just got an ascent. I'd like to have an STI one day.
@@rob_becker Nice bro
Is it 4WS ?
No 4ws on these. It has ATTS similar to LSD but worse as its electrical not mechanical. And most of them stop working and people delete them
Wheel and tire specs?
they're only 17x7, I forget the offset. Could use some spacers, may have to get some soon.
