Battery saving Bixby Routines which I use on my S21FE: 1) If apps opened youtube, netflix etc then turn Motion smoothness to 60hz. 2) If apps opened maps opened then wait 30min before next action then turn location off 3) If wifi connected to a saved wifi turn mobile data off. If wifi strength 2 bar or less then turn wifi off. 4) If apps opened maps(any other location app) then turn location on. When routine ends reverse these actions. 5) If Bluetooth device disconnected from saved device turn Bluetooth off.
There's no need to turn off motion smoothness when watching videos in any app. The phone automatically matches the refresh rate to the content being played. You can try this yourself: turn on Developper options. Inside them, turn on the FPS GPU overlay. You will now see exactly how many frames per second are being displayed at all times. Try scrolling on a webpage with motion smoothness enabled and see how the FPS changes. Try playing a standard video on youtube. Try it with a 60fps video as well!
I don't answer, not out of disrespect, but most of the time, a conversation can be better handled by text. New era - and we don't have to be on-call all day for everyone. Obviously, the answer lies in-between and up to the user's judgement.
Wow! Amazing. Best Bixby video I've seen so far. I'm coming from iPhone after 15 years. I'm bored with the same old Apple OS, and once a year updates. I yearn for customized settings and a more robust OS. Very entertaining, concise and informative. P. S. I'll be your Florida friend. 😀
As a safety net I have a reversing routine where if I open a streaming app it turns off mobile data to protect my plan. Twice I've been on a spotty network that kicked me off and and wrecked the data plan or somehow I turned it off by accident. Real life saver if you're not unlimited.
i have created a bixby routine. from lockscreen with a specific fingerprint u will directly be able to enter secure folder. so u can hide secure folder in menu and directly enter in it with just a specific fingerprint

Hey, as you mentioned, I'm from category-2, where I don't really know how to use Bixby routines. This is one of the best video I watched on Bixby routines! I recently switched to Samsung. Thanks for the info - I'm here from your S23 tips & tricks video.
I'm only using Bixby because my hey google stop working for some reason on my Samsung s20, but still works on my google app while driving! I hate that you have to say your location every time you ask for the weather on Bixby, any fix for this and can I change it to google weather? Samsung has a long way to go to be even close to hey google, its 2024 and its way behind! 🙂
*I always disable fast changing because this increases battery life. I enable this for some minutes when something is urgent. This happens once in a month.*
There I was thinking modes was the same. If you need to force dark mode or AOD you need to use modes. But modes can only run one at a time, and it may not be able to reverse some things because of that.
Most videos are shot 24, 30, or 60 FPS. So if I shot a video at 60 FPS, and you had a Hz of 400, you would still only see the 60 FPS. If you were gaming you would want capped out refresh rate so that can maximize FPS.
This is amazing!!, but I'm really intrigue, how do you manage to handle so many routines? how do you know that one routine doesn't contradict another one?
I've seen that in your days don't be afraid of the context options like before bed or the sleeping and wake up time option. in my S20FE I had before reset that I did. how to get back to you?
How can I set routines from inside the Secure Folder. I want banking apps, which are inside the secure folder, to open with wifi turning off and mobile data turning on and Bluetooth disconnected from pc connected to my phone. How can I do that from inside the secure folder?
Never loose your phone If: message received "Buzz my lost phone" Then: Ringtone 100% That way if you lost your phone and it was on silent, like I have too many times, someone can message you a key phrase to turn up volume and then ring it
Tried to do the always on display one while I had always on display already on... plugged my phone up... got stuck in a boot loop... had to tell bixby to turn off my AOD before it reset itself again for the 9th time... routine works tho 😂😂😂
Is there some way without using gps to make routines to switch to wifi when i am at home and turn off wifi and switch to data when i am outside. I tried using the wifi signal lower than 1 logic but it does not seem to work. If wifi signal lower than 1, then turn on data and disable wifi but when i am back home what logic can i define
It's good that Samsung forced Bixby onto all of us. It means I now stopped buying samsung tablets and phones and found better manufacturers. Thanks Samsung for saving me money!
Forced? Bixby can be disabled. Bixby and Bixby Routines are separate apps now. I have disabled Bixby but started using Bixby Routines and it's immensely helpful, never seen such a innovative feature till now.
