You should convert it to shoot Lego arrows, it will go through more things than a metal ball. I made a crossbow (which this technically isn’t I suppose) and I tried to shoot a marble with it and it just didn’t have as much power as the Lego arrow (which is just a Lego technic rod). It was able to go through three pieces of cardboard. But it’s your creation so I’m not gonna be like, “MAKE IT SHOOT ARROWS) and make you feel like you have to. Anyways, very cool overall
So, couple of dumb questions. First, does the backwards stretching and subsequent release stress the technic to a breaking point? Second, is there a way to give it more oomph?
Hey, thanks for commenting. Over time the Lego technic would fail due to ‘fatigue failure’ where the plastic Lego material gets exposed to repeated loadings that are below the stress limit of the material itself. How many cycles this would be I’m not sure. To increase power you could increase and strengthen the size of the limbs so that you could apply greater force to the string.

The wall splitting apart was really cool. It would be neat if u did a lego wall vs crossbow at some point!
love this video
Ah thanks for the comment! I appreciate the support!
what do we learn:
fruit is good for your health (especially if youre battling a LEGO crossbow)

the mango really made the ball go to the mango rooms
Do you first make like a blauprint in a program so yes what program do you use
No blueprints, I design as I go and adjust as needed. I occasionally use bricklink studio to rough out parts lists but that’s about it!
Now what if we replace the ball with a shrapnel grenade?
That's a Crossbow, not a bow
I think you are probably right! I’ve updated the title, Thanks for your feedback!
It's more like a Ballista since its not hand held
closer to a ballista actually
@@Kilonova.that’s actually surprising you know what a ballista is, not many people do
@@BuilditwithBricks I think is it modified or complicated? Or is it
Poor berries
Hi thanks for the comment! Especially the raspberry!
I'd put a laser on that one to help with aiming.
Great idea for next time!
@@BuilditwithBricks I'm amazed you didn't t hink of that.
