I like the HB, you can upgrade and mod this guitar and it would sound just as good or better than the Fender Strat.
Funny of all my guitars my harley is the only one I didn't need to modify
Yeah the Harley Benton guitars are very good mod platforms and in some cases you'll get a great guitar right out of the box!
@@geirisk8 yeah, I got the te 20 . The cheapest model. I love it.
Really? ua-cam.com/video/KlkwiJQpScE/v-deo.htmlsi=wpEHPlTiB2Kjj8Hb@@mitchconnerandsometimesjlotoo
That color scheme HB did is just amazing.
Seems a bit unfair to campare a sub £100 guitar to a genuine fender.. the hb's made to compete with the squire bullet strat.. not something 10 times the price.
For me I want to see these HB's compared to the higher dollar guitar like this. It shows me just how much you're paying just for the name on the headstock and NOT the actual guitar itself. I have 5 HB's, all have been upgraded other than my SC-550 plus EMG, cause it had everything I could ever want on it, and they all play and sound like my real Gibsons, Fenders for under 500.00 that's including the upgrades.
It's a fair comment and I just did it for fun :)
I think that’s the point of the vid :)
It’s not unfair. People know the price difference and don’t expect them to actually compete.
I paid 550 British pounds for my Strat Plus in mint condition back in 1996! It’s an early 90s version and I still have it to this day :) one of the best strats or guitar ever made! Love the quietness of the sensor lace while getting great tone, very clear
Oh that's a nice deal right there! I'm definitely keeping mine for a very long time. It just feels special to me.
finally.
I've been waiting for this video
Woohoo, I made it just for fun hah!
So many variables to make a good comparison. Set up-action, how close the Lace Sensors are to the strings, etc, all play an important part of making a Strat Plus be an OK guitar or an exceptional guitar. Guitars Vary so much too. I have owned 100s of Strat Plus guitars and I can have 3 of the same year, same model and even same color. One will be really nice, another will be exceptionally nice and one will have that "feel" "Mojo" super nice.
Yeah I just did this for fun :p
I actually prefer the sound of the HB, it's more mellow without sounding muddy, The Fender sounds too bright to my ears, making it sound thinner (?) Edit: That was my opinion until you put the overdrive and played Foo Fighters. Here the HB sounds muddy and cheap, or Dull as you say! Edit again: ...And then you get to the Full Pull Cranked up Distortion, and they both sound great, different but great for certain styles; Fender for bite and US type Metal, HB for Thrash or dark Scandinavian Death Metal ;)
it was a good review video but never a comparison video
TBH if I'm gonna shell out Febder USA money, I want more features than that.. for one a solid 2 point trem system, maple neck, rolled fret board, a nice burst or quality paint job & finish, some quality pickups (atleast Yosemite or even texas special)but they should really offer seymour duncans for that price, plus noiseless single coils are pointless & lack the cajones of tru single coils. You can always just run a wire from the tone to volume to cancel out the 60C hum (why they can't just do this in the factory is beyond me... should have a bone nut, belly carve, contour neck joint, hard case, option for push/pull pots, & it should be able to service me atleast as well as the $1900 I would have left over if I went with the HB.
Guitars have changed a lot since my Fender was made in 1987. When I was a kid learning guitar, any affordable guitar on the market was pretty much a piece of garbage but since then you're able to get such nice instruments for less. Say I was a touring musician, I'd happily look at guitars in $500-1000 range as my main instrument, depending on my needs.
What the hell are you talking about
I've come to the conclusion that video reviews are great for getting an idea of what a guitar looks and sounds like, but really difficult to explain how it feels.
It makes internet shopping a bit hit and miss. I've got a TE-20, and have compared measurements with a real Telecaster, but still can't work out why the Harley Benton neck / fretboard feels a tad lacking.
I absolutely agree and "feel" is also subjective while I might love the feel of a guitar but you might not. I'm not really a "reviewer" but I enjoy trying out guitar and gear as well as making videos so if I can convey any useful information in my videos then that's great!
I have a video on the TE-20 coming soon :)
13:02 Terror riff?
Shit thats the best $80 guitar I've heard, beats the hell out of any squier you could get for $200. You probably couldn't get a hello kitty acoustic for less than $100.
Yeah it is good after I set it up. That's the thing, it desperately needed a setup to be playable at all.

Creo que compraré una HB
That's awesome!
The screws can easily be changed for shorter ones. I don't think you can justify the cost of the Fender at 26 times the $77 price of the Harley Benton. I can't really tell the difference between the two guitars except for the bridge pickups. 26 times the price? I don't see it. By the way, I did enjoy the review and I am your newest subscriber.
I fitted 2 humbucker. Awesome guitar for the buck. I changed to a Fixed Hardtail Guitar Bridge Saddle , Black Tusq Nut 😏 is good now. I am a SG fan. Don't like strat sounds. Sounds not like a strat anymore. Smile 😏
Haha that's awesome if you managed to make it the way you want it!
what is the point?
Not really any point to be honest :)
Spielt man beide Gitarren über einen Modelling Amp wird es keinen Unterschied mehr geben. Der Unterschied liegt im Preis.
I PREFER HB
Maybe you'd change your mind if you tried them :p
@@geirisk8 of course
There's obviously going to be differences, but not $1400 worth of difference.. WTF is that nut, I havnt seen those from fender before I honestly thought you had a floyd rose set up. Is that thing made with steel? No string tree either but the strings appear to be pretty flush to the headstock.
Yeah that nut is nuts! It rolls the strings perfectly and they never get caught like they do with cheap nuts. I think the nut "housing" is aluminium but the little bar that the strings sit on are steel.
The HB is better....😁✌🏻😁
hahahah naaaah I wouldn't say that :p
I'm the loyal owner of a wonderful PRS Ce24 usa semi hollow, and I am now the proud owner of the TE-20HH SBK Harley Benton. I set it up for my playing, and I haven't picked up a different guitar yet in my studio! It's a great deal for the money, and I'm in love with the sound of the stock buckers with a JHS series 3 screamer and a Marshall DSL40CR Amp. It is a VERY GOOD "rock" sound, and add a little gain, throwback to the 70s-80s rock Era! I am shopping for a new one already.. Lol 🤘🎸🤘

Yeah those monitors are amazing!
There is no price comparison, the truth is that Fender has very high prices and more so outside the USA and not to mention their cheap ranges are garbage, one option to have a high-end guitar is to make it even at a cost 10 times lower.
Bra it sounds the same what is happening 😐😐😐😐
Idiotic video. There is no comparison between a Fender and a Harley Benton, its just not a valid comparison! On the other hand, of the 2 I'd take the HB each and every time. I long since came to the conclusion that 2 planks of wood and some wire and magnets can never be worth more than a couple hundred dollars, pound sterling, Euro's, groats or 100-head of sheep and the hand of my middle daughter!
It's just for fun man :)
