Something about Kyle reminds me of a young Simon. These player profiles are so good and get me invested in more and more of the field. A.M. is now another guy to root for, love getting to know these players as people. Thanks Jomez
Yes 100%. You really can tell that Kyle watched a lot of Simon videos to develop his form. Slow run up and a silky release that looks like the disc will only go 100 ft until you see it come screaming out of his hand. Simon Lizzotte to a T.
I love this course! So much fun to play as a 900ish rated player, and then so many huge scoring swings for the top pros. Just hope the back 9 is this exciting!
It's the best course on tour imho. Just the fact that 16 is eagleable makes it so exciting, plus the parity. I don't even get through the ball courses anymore but this is riveting.
It's my favorite stop on the tour. It has some OB around the basket that I don't like (too luck dependent) but otherwise it has a great variety of holes, with some wooded and a few bomber holes, and 3-4 holes that are realistically eagleable
Sad to see Paul cave under pressure once again. Saw him for the first time here on youtube when he made 18 under par and I've been a fan ever since. Really hoping he will find his confidence again.
@@thebeasters Yeah, I cant agree with this at all. Everyone can hit a slump, but McBeth has been at or near the top in pretty much every event this year. Is McBeth a little off right now? Sure, but the fact that he isnt winning every tournament says less about him and more about the field. He cant just run away with every tournament anymore, and in my humble opinion, that's a great thing for the sport.
@@barrymak421 I agree, he has been near the top a lot of times, not to mention he was in the playoff against Conrad in the world championship. However, he just seems to make mistakes when he's under pressure that I dont see him doing normally. One of the first things I noticed about Paul when I started watching him was his very impressive putting and lately he's been a little off his normal game. I'm sure he'll bounce back and take a win soon enough though.
@@Kalaha86 So you said that when you started watching him he was an amazing putter. I don't see where that has changed. He still makes those impossible putts that no one else in their right mind would even attempt to run. The only difference is now Rick isn't his only competition. He now has these young bucks that learned his mechanics when they were 10 years old. Imagine having McBeth's mechanics before puberty, then pack on length of limbs and muscle mass after already having flawless mechanics, and you have a Paul McBeth clone on steroids. If you want to see what I mean, go watch Cole Redalen play. Mechanically he is a clone of McBeth, he is just 15 years younger. Again this is just my opinion, and yours is completely valid, I just see it as the field getting better, not McBeth getting worse. TLDR: In my opinion, McBeth hasn't gotten worse (he has actually gotten better) he just has more elite level competition, so when mistakes happen they are hugely amplified. Where as before his lead was so large he could make a mistake and not have it effect him.
@@barrymak421 I see your point and while I do agree to some extent, I cant help but to feel that he has been playing a bit inconsistent as of late. So perhaps a little bit of a slump atm but again, I'm sure he'll bounce back soon enough and grab a win.
The spectators on hole 8 are way too close imo... Even for the pros, having people that close has to affect their shot a little bit. Don't think it would hurt to see them keep the spectators back another 45 feet or so on that part of the fairway.
100% agree. They'r all thinking of the headlines and the reputation if they slightly miss and rail a spectator in the head with a fullpower forehand. Also just hitting a spectator will most likely throw off your confidence for the rest of the round. If not season.
Drew Gibson and Joel coming up to the top from the 3 card that is INCREDIBLE. Drew with -12 tying the course record!!! This tournament has been the best to watch all season. “Worlds” was great with the Shot heard ‘round the world, but this final round of Idlewild was riveting and so awesome for this great sport!
I think I'd love to see hole 4 later in the round. I know they can't move the location, but a hole like that is great for when someone is behind and knows they have to take the risk. This early on, and they just lay up for par because there are still so many holes to go.
Not gonna lie, but this round was definitely a round that was so much more thrilling live. Until the last hole you didn’t really know who was going to win! With that said, great coverage jomez 👍🏽
Guess he just isnt playing this one. It seems to me that he always takes a few tournaments off. Dont know the reason, but he does have a wife and daughter at home so I dont blame the guy. He has his priorities right.

Kevin is the easiest guy to root for on tour. Tons of positive energy, great competitor and insane highlights
personally I think Wysocki is the easiest guy to root for. I like Kevin but Ricky is more solid
@@chunkybuttz844 you aren't wrong. Ricky is my favorite pro but everytime Kevin is on the card I just can't help but root for him

The fact that Kevin hits SO many trees and OBs, but still manages to hang in there with the top finishers is amazing. I feel horrible for his luck😢

These younger players have started to kick butt. Look at Konopiste 2021 finals. Nothing but lads bombing super accurate throws. And that putting..
It’s the hat and how he wears it bill slightly pointed upwards lol. I’ve noticed the same thing.
