  • Sissonnes (also spelled sissones) are another important jump in our Ballet Basics Series. There are many different types of sissonne / sissone but they all jump from two feet to one foot.
    Today we look at:
    sissonne de côté
    sissonne en avant
    sissonne en arrière
    sissonne fermé vs sissonne ouvert
    sissonne failli assemblé
    Sauté & Echappés:
    • BALLET BASICS - SAUTÉ ...
    Glissade & Assemblé:
    • BALLET BASICS - GLISSA...

Sissonnes used to be so challenging to me but now that I have them down more, I think they're quite fun! We sometimes do a sissonne combination in my class that's a lot of fun. I love watching the male dancers do them as well because they can get SO high in the air!

Sissonne is two feet to one. Assemble is one foot to two. Here's my assemble video: ua-cam.com/video/bH3Vyx213CU/v-deo.html

on sissone de cote, do you have to switch feet when you land? or cand you start and end with the same foot on front as well? Because I think i usually do this, but idk if its a mistake

I can’t understand the difference between sissonne and glissade 😣

    • @zelliemoon3689
      @zelliemoon3689 3 роки тому +2

sissonne you jump off of both feet and land onto one foot.
glissade you brush the leg first, then jump off of the leg you're standing on... so if youre right leg brushes out first then you land on your right leg.
sissonne can go in different directions. glissade only goes right & left.
      hope that helps xox.
