HSBC Water Stories

Challenge: Publicizing the photography exhibition, Water Stories, that details the massive investment HSBC has made in global water access.
Solution: Oh Boy was assigned to capture the exhibit when it came to Vancouver this past summer, interviewing the photographer Mustafah and profiling HSBC staff who, as Citizen Science Leaders, are committed to contributing to preserving precious waterways here in Canada.
The HSBC Water Programme was launched in 2012, bringing together expertise from Earthwatch, WaterAid and WWF, to help tackle the global water challenge. The Programme supports lives and livelihoods by tackling the water challenge on a number of levels: water provision, protection, education and scientific research.
The photography exhibition, Water Stories, brings to life the water challenges that are the focus of the campaign. The aim of the exhibition is to engage a wide audience in the global water crisis and use the photography of Mustafah Abdulaziz as a pathway to understanding, as well as supporting and promoting the work of the NGOs who are working to find solutions.
